《My best friends brother》Chapter 25

I got the cast off of my wrist. I was showing more now. I've barely talked to Jaxon. He was suppose to bring me home from work tonight so we could talk. My mom was driving me back to school. I got out and grabbed my bag. I walked into the school. First day without a hoodie and everyone was able to see my bump. I didn't care that much if they did anymore. I walked in and went to the cafeteria. I got in line and got some food. Everyone was looking at me. I shook my head and went to sit down with Bree. She was stuffing her face. I laughed.
"Shut up I'm starving. I woke up late and didn't have time to eat breakfast" she said. I nodded. I sat down and started eating.
"Nice wrist" she commented. I laughed again.
"It's a nice wrist isn't it?" I joked. She laughed.
"How's it been going?" I asked.
"Good. I got some money saved up. I got the baby a few things. Which are in my car. You can grab them when I take you to work after school" she said. I nodded.
"How are you?" She asked.
"I'm okay. I haven't really talked to Jax. Other than asking him for a ride home tonight. He's angry with me that I didn't tell him about the incident a few weeks ago" I answered.
"Yeah he was angry with me when I told him too. He mostly works and comes home grumpy. He will get over it. Just give him a little time" she said shrugging. I nodded.
"Should I feel bad about it though?" I replied.
"No. Not at all" she responded.
After school I went to Bree's car and she gave me a bag. I opened it. My mouth opened. It was a little security blanket. Along with a blanket. I took them out and saw some binkies and bottles. Along with some socks. I looked at Bree and pulled her into a hug.

"You didn't have to do that" I said.
"Yes I did. It's my baby niece or nephew in there. I'm telling you this now. This baby will be spoiled by auntie b" she replied. I laughed.
"You're the best" I responded giving her another hug. She hugged me back and I got into her car putting the bag on my lap.
Before she took me to work we went through the Burger King drive thru. We got to the bookstore and sat in the car. We ate our food and relaxed a little bit.
"Thanks for the food" I said. She nodded with her mouth full of food. I laughed at her. I grabbed my bags and went into the store.
I walked out of the store and didn't see Jaxon's car anywhere. I leaned against the building. I grabbed my phone and saw his text that he was running a little late. I put my phone away and hugged myself. It was freezing out tonight. I put my bags down away from the snow. I rubbed my eyes. I was feeling hungry. Soon his car pulled up and I got inside. He had a bag and gave it to me. I opened it. I smiled. I took out a sandwich and ate it. I ate some fries.
"Bree said you were craving Burger King the last week" he said. I nodded.
"Can we talk about this?" He replied.
"About?" I asked.
"Whenever something happens with you or the baby can you please let me know? I don't want to be the last one to know from my sister" he answered.
"Fine I'll let you know whatever happens between me and the baby" I replied.
"Good" He said nodding his head. He was watching the road and going slow. It was snowing out now. He put his one hand on my thigh and glanced at me.

"Pull over" I said. I put the bags in the back behind me. He pulled over to the side of the road. I unbuckled the seat belt and climbed over onto his lap. He pushed his seat back more and down. I kissed him. He kissed me back and grabbed my thighs. I smiled.
We got back into our seats. I put my seat belt on and he started driving again. He grabbed my hand with a smile on his face.
"It's been months" he said. I smiled.
"Yeah I know" I replied. He brought our hands to his mouth. He kissed my hand. He looked at me and stopped smiling. He moved quickly but not quick enough. I screamed when I felt the impact.

Sorcery in Boston
The timid daughter of some of the greatest spellcasters ever to have lived has found herself in another world, courtesy of magic gone awry. In Boston, Massachusetts, in the year 1935, she finds some kind souls in a hard era. In the heart of the Great Depression, as war looms around the corner, she seeks to find her place, and must come to terms with both who she is and what she truly desires. Author's Notes: Release Note: I recently realized what the hold up is. My current mental state is not compatible with the planned ending. If I wrote the ending according to what currently feels right, it will be a wretched, cruel ending that feels monstrously unfair and invalidates the work of the various characters... because that's how my life feels at the moment. The planned ending is coming out hollow and awkward, no matter how I write it, and so I've been bashing my head. I will finish it, once I manage to either brute force something decent out, or once my head gets screwed on straight. Audience: This story is not for young children - it contains some profanity, sexual content, violence, gore, and significant adult themes. Most of these are handled delicately enough not to upset teens or adults (hopefully), hence the lack of relevant tags, but it is nonetheless unsuitable for youth. It's fairly slow paced, and focused on the development of very human, very flawed individuals. Length / Completion Estimates: The outline currently involves two books. Book 1 is expected to be done with Chapter 43. It'll probably be completely finished by sometime in March of this year. I expect to move on to the far-more-lighthearted Of Gods and Dungeons (currently in progress / on hiatus). Afterwards, I may decide to redo Book 1, or write Book 2, or actually start sharing the story most dear to me, that I've been working on for several years now. Draft 1: Please be aware that this is first draft material. I do intend to come back to do a second draft after the story is complete. If anyone notices any issues whatsoever with the story, please let me know (pm, etc) so that I can improve the second draft. Writer's Pledge: I've taken the Writer's Pledge, meaning I'm commiting to completing this story. I'm a proud member of WriTE, a group dedicated to finishing stories. It will be done! Behind the Scenes notes: This picture was commissioned from an inked artist by the name of DanP. Up until the time of the protagonist's arrival, history has proceeded as before. Some places and characters have been borrowed from wikipedia entries of interesting figures from the time. I will make note in the chapter comments when such things come up. Naturally, I've taken a great deal of liberty with them. In interest of respecting individuals, I've either attempted to portray them as accurately as possible, or modified them sufficiently enough that they're simply an inspiration, instead of a real portrayal. I've attempted to be as accurate to the era as possible, but I'm not a historian. If you're aware of inaccuracies, please, bring them to my attention so that I can correct them.

Kingdom of Tyr (Original)
This fiction has been concluded as of the end of Book 1, the portion of the story posted here. There will be a complete rewrite as a separate fiction in the future to make the system more consistent and add more to the world while expanding on the events within this fiction. This rewrite will begin eventually, posted as a separate story. Colt, twelve, is walking home from school when he's approached by another boy dressed oddly, who asks him - theoretically - about living in another world. After asking some information about the theoretical other world, Colt says he'd probably prefer to live there, to get away from the problems he has on Earth. Once Colt confirms that, he finds himself in an abandoned city, the other boy revealing himself to be a god, who then offers to train Colt until he can stand on his own and live by himself. After a couple of months, the god sends Colt off for greater training, to learn to use both Aura and Mana, with his only instructions being to return every now and then to visit, and to make friends and have lots of fun. This story follows Colt, a boy named Tyler he meets in the new city, and their journey to growing stronger, having fun, and striving to beat each other. Note: this story is not intended to be professional-quality, and it does draw inspiration from many sources. That said, it is its own story, in its own world. It has never been and never will be edited. It will also have multiple PoV's, starting somewhere after Chapter 8.
