《Uninvited | Jikook Smut |》Chapter 30: A Note With A Smile

After hours into Jungkook's online colleges and studying, he didn't need to call Jimin for help. The boy sat there and got his work done as Jimin was left silent over text messages and phone calls. Jungkook wanted the man to be home with him so they could take more pictures together or even cuddle under the soft light of the sun beaming through the curtains. On the other hand, Jungkook felt a little relieved that Jimin was gone. It was the side of him that feared Jimin and his obsession just a little.

Jungkook glanced over at the time and got out of bed. All he had today was a cup of coffee since he didn't really ask Jimin for anything before the man was to leave him completely for the day. Of course, he didn't have it in him to call the older back to tell him he was leaving his own place freely. Jungkook figured that Jimin didn't have to worry about a thing when it came to that, but knowing how obsessive Jimin could be, he knew the older would get upset. The boy only shrugged the thought and walked out of his room once he slipped into something much more comfortable. Jungkook wore his denim overalls along with a long-sleeved shirt that had colors of a beige-white and black stripes. Jungkook fixed his glasses over his eyes and finally tied down his shoe laces over his white tennis shoes.

After, the boy was finally out of the room he stepped into the kitchen to see a brown bag along with another cup of coffee. Jungkook tilted his head and caught the scent of the brown bag that had a sub sandwich with only mustard, melted cheese falling down the sides of the baked bread along with ham in between the hot sandwich. Jungkook looked around and stepped closer to see a note left by his beloved that read;

“I forgot to bring you breakfast…

:( forgive me?”

Jungkook chuckled to himself just seeing how his boyfriend seemed to react every time he did something wrong. “Of course I forgive you, idiot.” Jungkook scoffed and noticed that the bag was still hot almost as if Jimin just dropped it off so suddenly. “How long was it when he left it here?” Jungkook whispered and carried the hot brown bag along with the coffee to sit at the dining table within the kitchen. “He could have given it to me in the room…” Jungkook thought once more before sending a message for Jimin while he was at work.

Right when Jungkook locked his phone, his notification chimed and this caused him to flinch so suddenly. Jimin happened to reply so instantly and catch him off guard right there.

Jungkook read over the messages and softly smiled to himself before opening the bag and began to eat. He trusted Jimin enough to bring him things to eat since he knew the man would never hurt the only rose in his garden. So far, Jungkook began to live happily and calm now. There were no murders turning up around town and there was no sign of kidnappings… For now that is. The detectives all around stopped visiting the boy and waited; waited for something big to happen so they can find so much more. However, with no evidence, the case eventually burned down for now. Jeon Jungkook was finally at peace with no figure following him or stalking him. Nights felt safe ever since his boyfriend showed up for the first time in his life and the boy found love in Park Jimin's eyes that seemed to cast many spells over the young student.

Being with Jimin made Jungkook feel many things; many things that made him want perfect freedom and to stay with the older forever. Jungkook wanted to stay with Jimin forever, but what popped his hot air balloon that kept him in the skies, was Jimin's ‘slight' obsession with the boy. Jungkook didn't really pay much attention to it though. Jimin wouldn't hurt the boy or anyone else if Jungkook was to tell him. He alone believed he could handle Jimin's love that weighed in very strong and bigger than the boy could ever imagine. Loving was somewhat a curse to Jungkook, but also a blessing gift. Being able to love Jimin and have him as his was the blessing, but venturing to Jimin's dark side was the curse. They were in love, surely Jungkook would have to see what Jimin had in store for him… Right?

Jungkook continued to eat as he thought of his internship ahead. Travelling the world with Jimin was what he looked forward to, but all the odds never seemed to be in his favor as he realized that he would still have his internship to return to. “Fuck… I forgot I can't wear this to the hospital…” Hissed Jungkook and rushed out of the living room to change his outfit once more into his pale blue dress shirt and black slacks for the hospital. But, as he stripped from his shirt, he glanced at his tattoo and thought back at Jimin's ‘NEVERMIND' tattoo just sitting around the skin over his ribs. Jungkook wanted to sit there and think of the resemblance further; the details carried almost the same designs. Yet, thinking of this seemed a little too far-fetched in his head.

“There are a lot of tattoo artists that carry out same designs like the one in mine… Nothing wrong there! Besides, there hasn't been anyone after me so this tattoo means nothing now.” Jungkook assured himself and with that, the boy smiled to himself and made it out of the apartment. Abruptly after, Jungkook was walking down the steps and noticed Yoongi standing far up ahead with a gummy smile over his mouth as if he was excited to see the boy after so long. For sure, Jungkook missed his good friend after so much that has happened.

“Yoongi!” Jungkook spoke up happily and raced down the steps until he noticed that Yoongi had a cast over his right arm. “Yoongi… what happened to you? You look like you've been hit by a bus.”

“Oh that… Ah, I'm fine. I just… Fell from a high place while… I was working with my father… In construction.” Yoongi assured as his smile died down while eyeing his own cast. “I haven't seen you at school for so long. Did Jimin really change you?”

“What? No… No that's not it. I was just… Trying to avoid getting kidnapped and Jimin found it much more safer for me to take online college. So, I can't really be there with you every day now.” Jungkook spoke to Yoongi and it felt like the injured man before him was fading away from his life ever since Jimin stepped in it. “You seem like a bad liar, Yoongi. Can you tell me the truth as to why you have that? Did you come across bad people?”

“More like, I came across a construction ledge. Don't worry about me, Jungkook. Let's get you to your internship, and don't worry; I can drive perfectly fine like this.” Yoongi chuckled as he stepped into his car and Jungkook slowly followed after. Once they sat in the car, Yoongi started the ignition and began to pull out of the apartment parking lot before starting up a conversation again. “So… How's life with your husband?”

“Ah, Yoongi! Don't say that… He's my boyfriend. Not my husband, yet.” Jungkook announced and expected the older to be excited and surprised, but Yoongi only carried a worried and silent face. “You aren't happy for me?”

“Jimin… He still seems shady to me, Jungkook. But if you love him, then go right ahead. Don't think of what I have to say. You both love each other, don't let me get in between that.” Yoongi told the boy, but it was obvious that he didn't see Jimin as a good person.

“He's a little creepy, I know… He's getting too overprotective with me and I think he could be taking our love into something more… like an obsession.” Jungkook told Yoongi as the older slowly guided his eyes onto the dashboard of the car as if he was looking at something before quickly glancing up at the road and letting out a scoff.

“So, yesterday I met this girl. She helped me carry my books to class and-”

“Was that… A little too much, Yoongi? Too much information?” Jungkook asked as Yoongi cleared his throat and took a glimpse over at the dashboard and back to the road. Now, Yoongi seemed a little too nervous and it began to bother Jungkook.

“Then she-”

“Don't… Don't tell me you're hiding things from me too, Yoongi…” Yoongi heard Jungkook whisper as the man only exhaled and continued to drive and talk about a girl that only helped him with his books to class. Other than that, the conversation fell short and left Jungkook to sit there and occupy himself with his own thoughts. Things felt different between them and Jungkook could only note that Yoongi would nervously look over at the dashboard of the car before suddenly looking away and all conversation about Jimin, was cut short. Jungkook couldn't even take a moment to talk to his friend about anything now. They felt like strangers just breathing the same air.

Hours passed as Jungkook was at work. He assisted visitors and signed many others in, while he counted the hours until he was able to go home. The boy watched the sun rise and fall just outside the glassed doors to the hospital and observed all roses of many colors being carried in through the double doors. Enjoying many people reunite, made Jungkook look back to when he first saw Jimin right before him. Jungkook remembered his heart beating happily as soon as his round eyes met with Jimin's gorgeous eyes. The feeling was still with Jungkook as he giggled to himself and finally stood up to use the bathroom before he was to go home on his own.

The boy walked down the vacant hallway to the restroom as he noticed most of his colleagues seemed to be absent and all he could hear was the elevator chiming once the doors opened and then closed. However, there was no one in the hallway to get the elevator running between floors. Jungkook hugged his bag close as he slowly approached it to see that there was a book sitting in the way of the elevator door closing. That was the reason why the elevator kept chiming. As Jungkook took the book away from the elevator, he turned the cover to see a drawn smiley face right over a page and right by it was the letters that spelled out;

“Tag! You're it! :)”

Jungkook looked at the page longer and closed the book before slipping it into his bag. “These kids… I'll have to put it in the lost and found now.” Jungkook thought as he then stepped back and watched the elevator finally close. Once that was done, Jungkook made his way to the restroom. As soon as he stepped into the restroom, he noticed that it was vacant as well. There were no doctors or staff members within the empty room.

Jungkook walked up to a urinal to use it and after he did, the boy stepped up to the sink, washed his hands, and dried them. But before Jungkook could leave the hospital, the boy stopped right in front of the mirror and looked up in silence. He suddenly felt as if he was being watched; goosebumps arose over the nape of his neck then, he felt as if his legs were frozen in place. Unexpectedly, Jungkook heard one of the stalls open slowly. The creak of the stall door echoed as Jungkook's heart pounded over his chest and carefully dared to fix his eyes over to the stall to the far left of the room.

Suddenly, he heard tapping against the cold iron bar of the disabled stall. Jungkook’s heartbeat echoed in his ears as his eyes fixed over a familiar face wearing all black as the man standing there, guided the teeth of the steel knife along his black gloves. The man stood in great posture, a scar fell over his face, and his sunshine smile never seemed to fade. The familiar and eerie man kept his creepy and still face fixed over Jeon Jungkook; this was none other than Jung Hoseok in the flesh. “Times up!…My turn.~”
