You were now getting ready for your date with Jed after Danny had left
"I should get going" replayed in your head when he said those words you felt your heartache a little bit, you didn't quite know why maybe you were just having a good time and didn't want him to leave you just yet
You hate to admit it but you missed him.
You sighed as you washed your face feeling the cold water drip down your face to your chin and then your collar bone
Your doorbell suddenly rang and you stood up straight and walked to your door
"Hey Jed"
"Hey, you ready?" he asked and you nodded
Once the two of you arrived at the restaurant you two had picked out a waiter quickly got you to your table and took your orders along with your drinks that we're mostly consisting of acholic drinks
You guys talked for hours about random things you two were interested in you learned that Jed liked slow dancing surprisingly
It quickly began to get dark outside and it soon started to rain but neither of you noticed too busy with each other's company to pay attention
"So let me get this straight you like slow dancing?" you laughed as you took a sip of your drink while looking at him
"Yeah was so bad about that" he chuckled
"Nothing I think it's quite cute actually" you laughed, the alcohol giving a slight boost in confidence
"I'm glad you think so," he chuckled again as he rested his head in his hand and looked at you
"What? Do I have something on my face?" you said as he smiled at you
"No, you're fine sweetheart," he said
"Then why are you staring at me like that," you asked and pouted at him

"You're just so beautiful is all" he confessed and smiled at you again with his head still resting in his hand
You smiled and blushed then turned your head away from him
"You're so sweet, Jed I'm glad I met you," you said still not looking in his direction
He didn't say anything but you heard him shift a little bit and then you felt him grab your hand and interlock his fingers with yours
You then looked back at him and he smiled at you
"I'm glad I met you too Y/n," he said
You two continued to talk for a bit until you both decide to split the bill and leave with your hands still interlocked
Once you two were about to exit it was already night and it was pouring rain and the street lamps were bouncing color off of the rain on the ground
"Shit we don't have an umbrella," Jed said as he looked at you
You were too memorized to care though, you always loved the rain
You slowly let go of Jed's hand and walked into the rain and started at the road ahead
"Y/n what are you doing you could get sick!" Jed said as he looked at you worried still standing under the restaurant's patio roof
You turned around and smiled at him and held out your hand
"You like dancing right?"
"Dance with me Jed, dance with me under the rain and the street lights" you laughed
He smiled at you, he slowly walked over to you and took your hand then pulled you closer to him and placed his other arm behind your waist
"You're absolutely crazy but I like that about you" he spoke
You smiled at him and began to slow dance with him, you forgot about everything in that mommet

Smiling like an idiot as he spun you around and pulled you back into him, the both of you getting soaked in the rain
Then you finally understood what you felt for him
"Hey Jed" you looked up at him
"Yes, sweetheart?" he said and looked back down at you
"I think I might like you," you said as you rested your now red face on his chest
He didn't say anything again but he grabbed your chin and made you look up at him
"I'm glad," he said
After he said that you felt his lips meet yours and you wrapped your arms around his neck
As you two kissed in the rain

But the truth for Myra is just the beginning of her story. The Storytellers is a story that I began to develop from a series of shorter stories that I wrote for a mythology and folklore class. As such, they have a strong basis in the myths and folklore of various cultures and religions. Join me as I try my best to integrate these stories into my own and develop the world of the Storytellers and Myra herself. This is my first attempt at any sort of longer-form fiction so helpful advice is greatly appreciated!
