《Conversations with a ghost (Ghostface x reader)》Chapter 10

After that night you and Jed didn't talk for a while, only at work which kinda hurt you, maybe it was just you maybe he was busy
That night when he dropped you off at your house you didn't want to part ways with him
And You had to force yourself inside your house and not run up to him and give him a big hug
You remember laying in bed and thinking about it all night
As did Danny, but he was unsure and scared
He tried to convince himself it was just a part of his plan, it wasn't but he wanted to believe it was
What if you figured everything out? What if you hated him? Why couldn't he just fucking kill you? Why did you make him feel good?
What was so special about you? We're you feeling this too? so many questions filled his head and made him feel worse
Then he came to a conclusion
He couldn't kill you because he liked you
Even if he didn't want to believe it
If he couldn't kill you he could still hurt you, make you feel exactly how he's feeling, scared and unsure
"Ugh" he shifted in his bed a little, you were confusing him, he wanted to hurt you somedays and others he wanted nothing more than your full attention
When he caught you and Henry that day in the break room he wanted nothing more than to lift your shirt and show Henry and everyone else that got too close to you that you were his
But that night in the rain made up for anything and everything, he thought you were absolutely beautiful in every way imaginable, the way you dance and laughed in the rain
The way the street lights shine all around you making you shine as well, and all the way up to your smile that caused him to completely lose focus on everything else except for you

"Fuck" he felt his face warm a bit, he just couldn't get enough of you, no matter how many times he tried to push down the feeling of butterflies they always reappeared when you gave him the slightest hint of attention
It has been 3 days since the kiss you guys had shared, everyone had the rest of the week off because of the murder of Cassie which he was proud of, but everyone else seemed a bit gloomy about it
He didn't care, as long as she was gone
He contemplated visiting you, but couldn't cause every time he was walking to his door to go through with it, nervousness always stopped him in his tracks
He found himself craving hugs and conversations the two of you had shared before
He wanted to feel you in his arms again he wanted to talk to you about anything and everything, he wondered if you wanted the same
He sighed and got out of bed it was already 4 am and he couldn't sleep and saw no use in trying again
He walked out of his bedroom and into the living room, He sat down on his chair and grabbed a recent newspaper
he didn't have time to read them like he usually did, he found himself giving you all his time instead
As he read through the newspaper he chuckled at the photo on the paper
It was him in his Ghostface costume doing a peace sign as Cassie's dead body was underneath him, he remembered that night so vividly, the way she screamed and pleaded him to let her live and that she wouldn't tell anyone
She kept her promise, of course, considering she was already dead and couldn't tell anyone about anything that happened
Danny threw the newspaper on the mini coffee table in front of him and stood up from his chair and walked over to his kitchen

He grabbed a bottle of water from his fridge and drank a little, the cold water running down his throat made him wince a bit
He soon closed the bottle and looked over to the island table in the middle of his kitchen
The picture he had secretly taken the night you guys had gone to dinner were resting on his table he slowly picked them up and shuffle through them
One of them was of you trying to down your drink as fast as you could
The second was of you standing outside in the rain looking towards the street lights
The last one made him smile it was of you both
In the rain, this time you had the camera and you were still in Danny's arms, you both were smiling at the camera as raindrops could be seen falling down
You two had taken this photo after you shared a kiss, Danny told you he had his camera and you insisted that you take a photo together
He had planned to give you the pictures he had taken of you that night but he forgot
But at the same time, he was glad he forgot cause now he had these to look over
He felt a blush rise on his face and quickly turned his head away from the photos
Why did you have to make him feel like this, Why did you have to make him feel like you were all he needed?
He pushed another wave of butterflies down and walked upstairs to his room, pictures still in hand
He soon walked into his room and kicked the door closed, he placed the pictures of you and him on his nightstand and got back into bed
Maybe tomorrow he'd have the courage to call you
