《Our Ancient Love》Chapter 6: The Necklace

Time had went by so quickly that before I knew it, the sun was about to rise. Me, Larry, and Nick had to make sure everyone was in their places before the sunrise. Of course it wasn't going to be easy to say goodbye to Ahk. I really enjoyed the time we spent together.

"Well me and Nick are going to make sure that everyone is in their places. Y/N I'm sure you can take care of Ahk," Larry says.

"Yeah I got it," I say as I look at Ahk and smile. We were holding hands and I didn't want to let go. "Before I forget, I better text my mom."

I take my phone out of my pocket and let my mom know that she can pick me up. I'm definitely convincing her to let me drive myself from now on.

"What's that?" Ahk asks me as I type with one hand.

"Oh it's a phone. I use it to communicate with people and I'm using it to communicate with my mom."

"Oh. That's kind of cool."

I look at my phone waiting for my mom to reply and when she does, I put my phone back in my pocket. I face Ahk and hold his other hand.

"Well Ahk, I really enjoyed spending time with you." Tears start to well up in my eyes. Why am I crying? I'll get to see him every night.

"I did too. I can't wait to see you again."

I hug him tightly. I squeeze his hand and turn to leave but before I do, he stops me.

"Wait Y/N," he says.

I turn around. "What is it?"

"I want to give this to you." He holds out his hand and in his hand is the most beautiful necklace I had ever seen in my life. The necklace was golden and had jewels dangling from it. I was in so much awe that I didn't even take it from his hand.

"Ahk it's so beautiful," I say as I turn around for him to put it on me. I turn back around to face him and I touch the necklace.

"Just like you," he says.

I laugh and blush. "Well I really have to go and so do you. I'll see you tonight." I hug him for a few seconds and pull away to kiss him on his cheek. He takes my hand and kisses the top of it.

"Until we see each other again," he says.

We both walk our separate ways and as I'm about to leave the museum, I look back and wave goodbye. He waves back and I smile and leave.

*Time passes*

I sit and wait on the museum stairs and admire my necklace. I can't believe Ahk gave me something as expensive as this. Then again, he IS a king. I softly giggle to myself and see a car pull up. It's my mom.

"If I had known that you would have had to work until after sunrise then I would've let you drive yourself," she says as she rolls down the window.

"Rookie mistake, mom," I laugh as I walk towards the car. Once I get in she immediately looks at my necklace.

"Where'd you get that from? You didn't leave the house with it on did you?" she asks.

"No mom I didn't. And someone special gave it to me," I say as I clutch the necklace in my hand and smile to myself.

"Well you can tell me all about it when we get home. I know that you're tired," she says as she puts the car in gear.

"Yeah I am," I say as I yawn.

We pull away from the museum and make our way back home. I can't wait to see Ahk again.
