《Spencer Reid Imagines ✔️》The Interview(Part 1)

SPENCER POV
"Thank you for letting us set up in here, what do you know so far?" Emily asks the chief of police.
We all start walking to the room where the crime board was already set up, depicting pictures of the victims. The Chief, who's name I learn is Scott, starts to speak about the past events that caused these murders.
"We've got some of the families and relatives of the victims here in the office today so you guys can talk to them, other than that we only know that this unsub is targeting well educated and well brought up teenagers. We have the latest missing persons older sister here today and she is willing to talk." He gives his spiel and I look around the police department trying to locate her sister.
I finally spot her, catching a glimpse of her flashy socks out of the corner of my eye.
"I'll be back Emily, i'm gonna go talk to her." I start walking away from Prentiss towards the girl who is sitting at a table eating something and reading a book. When I reach her and she sees my feet at hers, she looks up to view who is standing in front of her. She gives a weak smile, knowing what's about to happen. I take her into a quiet room and shut the door behind us.
"I'm Dr. Spencer Reid with the Behavioral Analysis Unit with the FBI. I'm here to ask you some questions about Jamie." I tell her, examining her breath taking features as I introduce myself.
She looks up at me again after sitting down in the chair across from me. She takes both sides of her cardigan, which is adorable, and wraps it tightly around her body, smiling. I stop and stare for a minute before realizing I have a job to do. She is just so stunning though. Her sister is missing and we have to find her. Stop it Reid.
"Alright, i'm (Y/N), I will try to answer what I can." She gives off a sad and weak vibe.
"Okay lets start with the basics, how close were you with Jamie?" I question, bringing my hand to my chin.

"I was her best friend...her sister...I- she always talked to me about everything. It's strange to me that she wouldn't tell me where she was going." I try to think of something that would make her more comfortable, but nothing comes to mind so I ask.
"Is there anything I can do or get you to make you more comfortable right now?" I give it a shot.
"I'm not sure there's anything you can get me but staying here with me would be nice." She tucks some stray pieces of hair behind her ear.
"I can do that. Okay, next i'm going to need you to close your eyes. Think about the last time you saw Jamie, how was the weather that day?" I start the cognitive interview in hopes of getting more details about what Jamie looked like or what happened that day that caused her to leave.
"It was really cold that day, I remember because Jamie said she was freezing that morning and went back upstairs to get a jacket." She begins to recall the events of the day.
"That's a start, was there anything unusual occurring that day? Anything that differed from the standard daily routine?"
"Not really, just like any other day, eat breakfast, go to school, come home, eat dinner. Nothing out of the ordinary." She responds, trying to help as much as she can.
"Okay, do you remember any smells that might help you remember something that happened that day?" I try to help her unlock a memory in her unconscious mind by using our strongest sense, smell.
"Well, I remember the smell of smoke, cigarette smoke. It was Jamie's boyfriend, she brought him home that night to eat dinner with us and he was always smoking."
"Good. Now, do you remember Jamie saying anything about someone strange or saying something that seemed off to you?"
"She didn't- Actually, she did talk about going to this party. I- I didn't want her to go I- I didn't know this was going to happen if I would've known I wouldn't have let her go. I knew her boyfriend was trouble too. He's a suspect now isn't he? It's my fault. It's my-" I stand up and take her in my arms, clutching the crying girl to my chest.

"It's not your fault (Y/N), there is no way you could've known anything was going to happen. We don't even know for sure that your sister dead, calm down, we're gonna find her. I promise." I reassure her, praying that we catch this son of a bitch who abducted her sister.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
(Y/N) POV
I am becoming flustered and sad and upset with this whole situation. If I would've told Jamie no then she never would've gone to the party and I would've saved her from being kidnapped. It's my fault and I know it, but the handsome FBI agent who is currently enthralling me in his lanky arms disagrees and keeps telling me otherwise.
I pull away from him and smile a little but you can surely still see the sorrow behind my features. All I want is for Jamie to come home safe and sound and for her to be okay. That's all I want. I'm sure Spencer and his team will catch this guy. They seem like they know what they're doing.
"You guys are going to catch him right? You're gonna bring Jamie back to me?" I ask, hopeful.
"Yes (Y/N), we have agents Alvez and Rossi ourt right now searching the newfound premises of what we think is the unsubs secondary location, that's where your sister might be. We are going to find her and we won't rest until we do. I'm also not going anywhere, i'm going to be right here the whole time. Okay?" He relays all the information to me about what is going on right now.
"Okay." I snuggle back into his neck and sigh, relaxing into the feeling of his touch.
I know i'm not supposed to fall for the FBI agent that is interviewing me for an investigation but how can I help myself when he looks like that. He's also such a gentleman; he is so sweet and it makes me fall in love even harder.
"So, are you guys going to bring in her boyfriend for questioning? Do you need me to tell you more about him?" I ask and hope he says yes because that means i'm helping and all I want to do is help.
"If you're up to it, that would be great." A wide smile spreads across the young mans face and he crosses his legs, one over the other, ready to listen.
"Okay, his name is Tanner Hayes and he lives in a trailer by himself. His biological parents died in a fire when he was ten, then he was put into foster care but soon after got emancipated. He's been a junkie ever since and not a good influence on Jamie. My dad won't do anything about it though." I try to give as many details as I can; giving them insight might help lead to whoever did this.
"That helps a lot (Y/N), I am gonna call Garcia quick and give her the information. One second." He stand up and walks to the corner of the room, dialing Garcia's phone number into his phone and calling her.
I watch as he fixes his concentrated gaze on the ground, listening intently to Garcia's words through the cellphone. He
starts talking eventually.
"You're sure?"
....
"It is Hayes?"
....
"He wants to speak with her to make a deal?"
....
"I will get back to you."
Spencer hangs up and walks back towards me, his eyebrows furrowed with confusion. He looks at me and takes a deep breath before continuing to speak.
"The unsub is Tanner Hayes, he called Garcia earlier from a disposable cellphone and requested to talk with you. He wants to make a deal. Just know that when you call him, I will be right here with you, alright?" He reassures me and my eyes widen with shock and fear.
Spencer's hand comes to my shoulder and he rubs loving and comforting circles on it as I contemplate my next words. I finally speak.
"Okay, I'll do it."
Three years of occupation later, an exemplar visits—a member of Victoria’s oversight committee rumored to read minds. He tells Winnie that she may have a unique mental power, or a flair. At the empire’s capital, the queen herself tutors Winnie to help her reach the full potential of whatever power she may have. Meanwhile, in post-war Nigeria, a streetwise teenager named Naema sees a different side of the empire. Between corruption and oppression, everyone lives in squaller. People fight over assembled food pastes.
