《Spencer Reid Imagines ✔️》Carnival

"Come on, put your back into it Pretty Boy!" Morgan encourages Spencer as he stands in front of the ring toss booth at the carnival.
"I'm trying Morgan, I'm not you okay." He glances back at him.
"Well, someone's gotta try harder if he wants to win that teddy bear for a special SSA (L/N). We all know you're head over heels for her kid." Morgan raises his eyebrows, placing his hands on his hips.
Spencer doesn't say anything. He turns around slightly, shooting Derek a look as if to say "don't you dare". He turns back around and throws the second ring with the flick of his wrist. The ring misses and falls to the ground. Spencer is left with one ring in his hand.
"COME ON REID YOU CAN DO IT! WE LOVE YOU BOY WONDER!!" Garcia screams, earning a bunch of ear plugging from the rest of the team.
"Reid, just don't think about it too much! Just throw it!" Prentiss waves her hand towards the pegs sticking up from the stand in front of him.
Dr. Spencer Reid takes a deep breath and tosses the ring. It doesn't make it. He hangs his head, shaking it a little bit. Morgan slings his arm around the boy's neck shoving him a little bit.
"You'll get it next time Reid, it's okay. Now step aside and watch as I win the teddy bear for (Y/N)." He chuckles and nudges Spencer with his elbow.
Reid walks off towards a bench on the pier and sits down. I follow behind him. I stop and watch as Reid stares off into the ocean. I turn around and go buy us drinks before returning back to where he's sitting.
I gently take a seat next to him on the bench. He doesn't look at me. I pick at a string on my pants and set the drinks down on the ground. I hate seeing him upset. It's not a good look on him. I much prefer it when he is happy with a big grin on his face.

"Hey." I say to him, handing him his drink as he looks up at me.
"Hi. Thanks." He takes the drink and smiles a little bit. It's a sad smile though.
"You know Morgan is joking right? He doesn't really mean anything he says. He just likes to give you a hard time." I watch as a smile tugs at the corners of his lips.
"I know." He looks down at his drink.
Spencer brushes something off his cardigan. He still looks dreadful. I wonder what's eating at him. I scoot closer to him and lay my head on his shoulder. He freezes for a moment, surprised by my actions but then relaxes.
"What's going on?" I say, my head still resting on him.
"I know he was joking but...I wish he wouldn't have said what he did about me and you." He becomes a bit flustered.
"I know he was joking Spence, it's okay, please don't let that ruin your night. He was only making a joke." I tilt my head up at him.
"Yeah, but that's the thing. What he said was true." He still isn't looking at me.
"Well, I believe it. We are best friends you know. I'm head over heels for you too, Spence. I'd do anything for you. You don't need to win me a teddy bear for me to know you'd do the same." I smirk at him.
He continues to become uncomfortable. What did I do? I'm sure I didn't say anything that could make him upset. Goodness. I sit up from my spot and I look him in the eyes.
"Hey, I'm not trying to make you uncomfortable. I'm sorry, i'll just go okay. If you need anything i'll be with Prentiss. I love ya. You know that." I smile and stand up from my seat, beginning to walk away.
I'm about a foot away from Emily and the rest of the team when I feel a hand grab my arm and spin me around. It's Spencer and before I know it he's kissing me. He tastes of the coffee I had just bought him. My hands find their way to his hair as he deepens the kiss. He is breathing really hard. He finally pulls away and looks at me, taking my hands in his.

"(Y/N), I am head over heels in love with you, not as a friend or a colleague. I am in love with you." He looks at me worried what i'll say or do.
"Well, that's good because I don't think I could be in love with any other handsome genuis in the world other than you. I love you too Reid." I smile at him, placing another small kiss on his lips, feeling him smile into the kiss.
"So, what do you say, we make this our first date. What's your thoughts on Ferris Wheels? Hey, did you know, the Ferris Wheel was invented in 1893 for the Chicago World's Fair. The inventor George W. Ferris a bridge builder, came up with the concept of the Ferris Wheel and sketched it on a cocktail napkin at an Engineer's Banquet in-" He rambles.
"1891. I did know that surprisingly." I smile big at him and he picks me up in his arms swinging me around before setting me back down.
"Helloooooo? Love birds?!" We hear Garcia shout from the street light they were all standing at in the middle of the pier.
We walk over to the rest of the team, hand in hand. I see Morgan with the teddy bear in his hands. I laugh a little as he waves it in Reid's face.
"I told you i'd get it. Now, here give it to her. You're the one that should be handing it to her in the first place." He shoves the bear into his arms.
I smile up at Spencer. He isn't looking down at me but he just looks so adorable in his red and black sweater with his hair all messy and his glasses on.
"Alright, lets get out of here and let these two be. You wanna go get ice cream, mama?" Derek asks Penelope.
"Do I ever! Prentiss you coming with?" She questions.
"I need to go home and check on Sergio but, tonight was fun you guys, see you at work tomorrow." They all leave, and Spencer and I are left alone.
"Here." Spencer hands me the teddy bear.
I walk with him to the ferris wheel and pass a trash can on the way. I toss the bear into the black bag inside. Spencer looks upset but this.
"What are you doing, (Y/N)? Why did you just throw that away?" He asks, painfully sad.
"The only thing I need to snuggle with is you. I don't need a teddy bear that Derek Morgan won when I have you." I smile giving him a hug.
"Ready for that ride?" He gestures toward the brightly lit wheel in front of us.
"Absolutely." I climb into the yellow seat and put the seat belt over both of us.
I rest my head on Spencer's shoulder, butterflies erupting in my stomach as he starts to rake his fingers through my hair.
We went on the ferris wheel four more time after that, just the way we were. No talking, just the quiet lapping of the waves on the sand, the sound of children laughing from the ground, and me in his arms.
