《A Normal Day... | Monster Girls X Male Reader》7. Setting Things Straight

The fetid smell of cheap, off brand cleaning products was the first thing you sensed, and was lingering in the air like a bad smell... because that's exactly what it was. Then, your hearing returned. The constant beeping of machinery audible to the left of you, and something else was barely perceivable, but definitely there. Focusing all your efforts into honing in on the sound you found that it was the soft breathing of a third party. You weren't alone.
Then it hit you like a semi-truck. The events of the previous night(?) flooding back and racing throughout your already troubled mind. The heart rate monitor to your side started to speed up, everything was a blur and a wave of nausea washed over you.
???: "(Y/N) wake up!!!"
That voice... it sounded oddly familiar. Then another sensation graced you. Touch. Someone was touching you. (No not like that ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°) )
You shoot straight up, the whiteness of the room momentarily blinding you.
(Y/N): "ACK! fuck..."
???: "EEP"
a loud thud could be heard, evidentially caused by your sudden movement. Glancing over to the side of the bed you noticed a certain fiery eyed, grey furred individual strewn across the floor, her crimson eyes locking onto yours.
Luci: "(Y/N)... you're awake...YOU'RE AWAKE!!!"
The hound pounced on you, enveloping you in a bone crushing hug, a wave of pain coursing throughout your system. It was a nice sensation though, and one you hadn't felt since the day you found her. Her fur was soft, but had a homely warmth to it, probably because she comes from Hell itself. Then, the faint sound of sobbing could be heard as your hospital gown was slowly becoming drenched.
(Y/N): "Are you okay Lu?"
As you said this, your arm slowly snaked it's way around her shoulders as you reciprocated the emotion.

Luci: "Am I okay? What about you?! You were shot defending us... w-we thought y-y-you were d-dead..."
(Y/N): "Heh, it's gonna take more than mere bullets to stop me from looking after you girls."
Luci: "I see that your close encounter with death itself hasn't changed your personality."
The hound let off a light giggle before playfully punching you in the arm, inadvertently hitting your sealed wound. A slight wince crept upon your face and a sigh escaped your lips as she realised what she accidentally did.
(Y/N): "How long was I out by the way?"
Luci: "Two weeks, give or take"
The sound the door opening is what derives your attention, three soft, feminine voices muttering amongst themselves as they entered the room.
Kat: "And so I was just like 'no creep, back off' and then he le-"
Looking up you saw Kat, Monica and Apophis all clutching coffee cups whilst talking, until they noticed you. Apophis was the the first to react, dropping her cup and shooting through the air in an attempt to hug/tackle you.
(Y/N): "Oh fu-"
Was all you could get out before the snake-woman made contact with you, sending both of you off the bed and onto the cold, tiled floor.
Apophis: "I'm so happy you're awake... I feared the worst after what happened"
Her tail coiled around both your legs and lower abdomen, restricting all movements, much like a Boa Constrictor.
Apophis: "I'm not letting you out of my sight from now on! None of us are."
(Y/N): "Us?"
Apophis: "Well in the two weeks you were out, me and the girls came to an agreement of sorts..."
(Y/N): "Really? And what was that exactly?"
Apophis/Monica/Luci/Kat: "We've joined forces!"
Upon hearing this your heart sank.
(Y/N): "Oh god"
