"Well, now what?"
2:38am. Shinsou, Denki, Uraraka, and several other 1-A class members lay in the kitchen of the commons-area, lounging on the tiles of the cold floor tiles. Your rooms' AC systems had blown out in the middle of the night, and now the whole dormitory had turned into a sauna.
Shinsou came over to see if 1-A's fuse also blew out, and ended up lounging along with them. Todoroki created tiny ice cubes, and produced cold vapor from his body. A few laid near him, bathing in the icy, refreshing air. Others ate the ice cubes, using them as nourishment.
"I'm dying..." Denki said, hand over his forehead dramatically. You snorted, also putting a hand over your forehead. "What a gruesome way to die," You sniffled, pretending to wipe tears. Bakugo simply laughed at the stupidity before him, sweat rolling down his neck and arms.
Mina opened the fridge, sighing a breath of relief as a gust of frosty wind hit her chest. Some sat up, feeling the flurry of chill come their ways.
"Move!" Jirou said, playfully hip-bumping her aside. Mina rolled her eyes as Jirou stuck her tongue out, twirling her ear plugs in between her fingers.
Mina peered into the shelves, searching for a nice, frigid item to put up to her cheeks, when she came across a pack of pocky-sticks. Matcha flavored! She thought, gaping at the item in her hand with an open mouth that formed an "o".
"You guys wanna play?" She shook the pack in her hand gently, closing the fridge and turning around. You sat up, squinting your eyes to look at at the item, before nodding vehemently. Better then nothing.

"Yay! Sounds fun~." Uraraka chirped, folding her legs in a criss-cross way. A few students said no, and dragged their feet back to their rooms in exhausted manners. All that was left was Bakugo, Kirishima, Uraraka, Shinsou, Denki, Tsuyu, Mina, and Tsuyu. Of course you were there too.
"Who wants to go first, kero~?" Tsuyu asked, tilting her head slightly. The nine of you exhanged glances. Izuku simply looked down, the tip of his ears beet-red, because he was next to Uraraka. Kirishima raised his hand with a toothy grin. Uraraka hands him the green, matcha pocky-stick.
He puts it in his mouth, and turns to the right, before coming to the realization he was next to Bakugo. Bakugo crossed his arms, reddening slightly since he was in front of others. Kirishima wiggled his eyebrows, causing the girls to chortle. Bakugo fumed, even redder now as he took the pretzel from Kirishima's mouth easily, before turning away (so that he could avoid Kiri seeing him flustered).
The game continued, with "ooh"s and "ahh"s during every turn. Blushes, kisses, and failures happened throughout. You had forgotten you were even playing until Denki turned to you with the pretzel dangling on the end of his pocky-stick. You blinked a few times, dumfounded, before registering what to do.
You took it from him with no problems, mainly because the two of you were good-friends, and there was no feelings at all. He was like a brother to you, and you were a sister to the idiotic boy. You looked down at the pretzel, trying to keep it stable as you turned.
And... you'd forgotten Shinsou was next to you the whole time.
He looked down at you, scratching the nape of his neck with a bit of a shy grin. You grimaced, a blush dawning upon you.

He leaned down, pocky-stick in his mouth, lavender-eyes coming closer and closer. You awaited, trying not to look into his eyes out of nervousness. He hesitated, turning slightly pink, before moving your chin with his hand so that you'd face him. Your eyes widened; he never was this forward in general.
You looked him in the eyes, closing your eyes and flinching as though you were bracing for impact. He dropped the pretzel onto your pocky-stick, staying there for a second, before leaving a tiny peck at your cheek and backing away.
The other students watched the whole thing, and simply sat there in awe.
"WHAT THE FUCK JUST HAPPE- mmph!" Mina screamed, before Uraraka put a hand over her mouth and shushed her. Tsuyu stood up, shooing the two of you out of the kitchen and into the elevator. She winked at you as the doors closed; you slumped against the wall while face-palming.
"W-Why... did you have to do that?!" You aggresively asked him, trembling slightly while shifting the weight between your legs nervously. Shinsou watched regretfully, cheeks still dusted with pink.
"I-I just couldn't resist, (Y/N). Your hair was so messy... and the way you scrunched up your nose..." He hid his face for a moment, feeling sheepish about the words coming out of his mouth. You did the same, trying to calm down.
"Y-You looked pretty cute too, you know." You muttered after a minute; he sighed, averting his gaze from you to the floor apprehensively.
"You're gonna make me blush... again."

The Orb Weaver Chronicles
"The Orb Weaver Chronicles contains several major and unique events that may or may not unknowingly intertwines with one another. The author of these chronicles is unknown, although some have hinted at the symbolism behind its name..." - Year unknown, location unknown 9 February 2022 Update: Welcome to the companion short story compilation of my novel trilogy The Shadow Paradigm. This compilation features prequels, sidequels and sequels to the novel's major plotline, as well as featuring a wide range of characters, new and recurring. Prior knowledge of the novel is not necessary as the Orb Weaver Chronicles' short stories are standalone. Once called The Arkesyyan Chronicles, I've deleted quite a few of its old stories. Due to the new avenue and revision, oriented toward more mystery and film-noir ambience, that I took my stories into, I've removed all aliens and overly sci-fi aspects of the whole TSP lineup, so I've updated the Orb Weaver Chronicles accordingly. I hope you enjoy them, and in time, a revised version will also be updated.
