Well... shit!

We went from 10k to 20k so quickly! I'm so happy, ahhhh-

I know I say this a lot but I do mean it, you guys. The constant stream of feedback, support, and love overall really does make my day. I'm beyond joyful that you all find enjoyment in my subpar stories that I'd only made for fun in the beginning.

I'd expected this to end up being a story that would be lost in all the thousands of other amazingly underrated books and oneshots that were millions times better then mine.

And yet... here I am. With 20,000 reads on a story that I didn't even want to publish at one point, not believe in.

This book was my savior, in a lot of ways. I realized I enjoyed writing. I used this book as a coping mechanism for a while in order to compensate for my declining mental health.

And boom! A year later, and so much has changed. I've grown in the ways that:

#1) My mental health is so much better. Through writing I found out a lot about myself, and the issues I needed to work on. And I did. I worked on them until they were somewhat mended. I started to go outside more. I started to take better care of myself. And the result was a happier, cleaner, more productive author-chan.

#2) I figured out what I wanted to do with my life because of this book! At first, I was only doing this for fun, but as it picked up attention I began to realize this was a great hobby, and that I could make a living like this. So I researched, and figured out careers related to this. The result? I'm now preparing to enter law school~!
