《Backwards rollercoaster || Mairimashita! iruma-kun》Chapter six : Irk part two

Iruma finished the assignment first— as he expected, he had known all of the subjects ell due to some occurring events in his past life. And as most wise person says— experience is better than blunt knowledge.
He stared at the pile of papers he had wrote on, grasping them tightly unto his chest, preventing it from falling down and scattering all over the place, it would cause more work to do than should. And if there's one more complicating punishment, Iruma might escape. His back aches from sitting too much, not to mention his bottom, it's sore and uncomfortable. His wrist is definitely unpleasant to move, writing with full excellence always cause some minor problems to his hand.
No matter how powerful I am, I'm still a human.
He thought to himself, there's nothing to deny in the sentence. It was absolute and right, being a demon king doesn't turn him to a real d͟e͟m͟o͟n͟. Magic could be transfer, it could be upgrade, studied— but it doesn't change one person, or who they truly are, they're what they're from their birth. Their own being.
Iruma quirk up her lips into a wide all-knowing smile, heading towards the front door, he stops. It was quite impolite to not say goodbye to the other in the room, maybe he should. Or perhaps, even wait for him. But wouldn't it be a little too late to submit the work if, maybe, Asmodeus is slow? It's not that the bluenette is randomly assuming so, it's that Asmodeus hasn't even finish the fifth subject. And they had to wrote fifteen.
"What are you standing there for? You could go on without me." A voice interrupted, Iruma snap his attention towards it, confused. Iruma stared at the demon, who's still focus on his writings, scrabbling the quil on the paper eagerly and fast. He stared, what took him so long? Iruma starts to wonder, and grow to suspicion.
It was many subjects to be done, bet either of those would undoubtfully take more than ten minutes per subject, and yet, why is the other not done yet? It's not hard, you can see the answers on the text book clearly, it's shown freely and absolutely not classified.
Hmm...
Iruma took a few steps backwards, glancing at the demon as he did so. Once again, he arrives at the same table he had worked on, putting all the papers back neatly and tidy. He moves himself, standing next to Asmodeus with a frown, "How are you not done?" He questioned, mostly confused. There's no more reasons he could think of rather than Asmodeus suck at it, but again, it's impossible. The demon could become a student council anytime, and to become one, you must ace at subject and personality. Asmodeus could swipe all of that like a piece of dust. So why so long?

"I'm writing a letter as well." He replied plainly, as if it was more obvious than water existing. Iruma could feel himself ridiculed by a simple tone in a certain someone's voice, he grumbled. Is it really wrong to ask someone's well-being? Or perhaps, it's too dramatic and informal for someone as important as Asmodeus?
"The sarcasm, such a delicate taste in life." He muttered to himself, reminded again of the bland annoyed tone. Iruma could feel another sigh coming in, and it did. Why must life be hard? And what is it that he had done to suffer the same risky adventure twice, and two times much worse than before? God, forgive me. He joked inside, of course God wouldn't forgive him. He's the ruler of hell for hell's sake.
"But wouldn't it be kind to tell me?" Iruma chimed, smiling while fluttering his eyes as if an angel would.
"If you would tell me yours too, then sure."
Are you kidding me?
Iruma groans, gritting his teeth, there's no more use of staying inside without being annoyed now, so this is how somebody else feels with the demon version of Asmodeus. Not that he's not one or anything, it's just that he looks like a puppy when he's with Iruma, sometimes. Though, the loyalty fits the appearance he showed to Iruma.
Iruma focuses his attention unto the other again, putting the weight of his chin onto his palm, grunting on it as he sit on his table, just the opposite where he originally sat so he can get a better view of the other.
The blue haired boy raises an eyebrow, noticing the slight shiver in the quill. It's probably his own eyes, because damn he'd be absolutely wrong if he sees Asmodeus struggling in subjects like this than any other.
Or maybe he is?
The thought click his head, that's probably the reason it took him so long to finish, and Asmodeus seem to be the type of person that would be stuck in one question if he couldn't answer it— considering he had been right his whole time, being wrong one time is ridiculous.
Well, a little help won't kill, right?
Iruma smiled to himself, he pick himself up once again, bringing himself near the demon. Iruma duck slightly to peek at the answer, putting one of his hand on the table, maintaining his balance.
Oh God, that was the first thing I've done.
The subject he's stuck on is actually languages. And here Iruma thought demons know their languages better than him, not to mention it's the most known one Asmodeus's stuck on. "Do you need my help?" He asked, letting the other faces him with the same masked face.

If you're having a hard time, you don't need to put a smug look on.
"No, I'm perfectly fine. Thank you." Asmodeus replied quickly, returning to his action after. He didn't even seem to process any kind of thoughts, well maybe one, rejecting the other.
But another word from Iruma would causes another ruckus and fuss like earlier, and he doubt any of his words would get through Asmodeus. It wasn't expected by the other, but Iruma does it anyway. It wasn't something wrong, it's just grabbing your friend's work and doing it yourself. It's an act of kindness.
It took Asmodeus a few seconds to process the situation before slamming his band on the table and aggressively get up from his seat like someone had stolen his cake for theirselves. The demon walk with heavy steps— purposely, in-front of Iruma and points his glad index-finger unto him, ready to burst out his flame, only from his mouth.
"Give that back this instant! This would not be tolerated by the principal if you act this way." He said sternly, Iruma's suprised he manages to hold his volume down— due to them being in a library, after he had done those several giant steps.
Iruma didn't answer, because again, it would end up the same as last time. He continues to drag his quill on the paper in speed-motion, writing all of them the same as his, only different writing style and a little bit more detailed than his.
It was just a full thirty seconds, really, because he had done it before, doing it again would be the same. Iruma handed the paper to the other, "Here you go." He said, "I'm going to submit... uh the work now." A nervous laughter came out in random, it was quite awkward, because the other didn't say any word about it, nor did he even grab the paper properly. He doesn't know why, but Iruma feels like an idiot.
"You," Asmodeus finally muttered, "How the hell did you do this?" He asked, finally grabbing a hold of the paper, eyes scanning all of the vocabulary and complicated words, Iruma mostly stole that from dictionary.
"Wow," he said with a exasperated tone, "The weather is quite nice, isn't it?" There was no doubt, that he's avoiding the conversation.
"Oh God, stop— no matter how awkward we are, don't ever mention the weather," Asmodeus paused, "Besides, what else could you hide until you change the subject? Saying you're smart wouldn't be much of a problem." He stated clearly.
If only that was the case.
If he said that, the demon would challenge him again in another duel, not fighting but maybe brain knowledge, and he would like to not stand up much after being punished by the principal on day one. Due to that, he could only stay and hope nobody took a clear picture of him, maybe of Kirito and Asmodeus is okay, but just don't involve him.
"I-I'm not going to talk about the weather! I was just mentioning that it was good." He stopped, before continuing after, "I'm not hiding anything." He defended.
Really Iruma? Good?
"Sure you're not."
Okay, that words again, Iruma could feel the rush of blood boiling in the other, eager to know again. But sadly, not everything would go according to one's plan, and Iruma certainly not following the other's plan of dueling him in words again. To be honest, this is the first time he would say Asmodeus is dense and oblivious, he's clearly still a novice no matter how perfect of a high-schooler he is, the mature inside of him is still growing. And before that grows completely, Iruma doesn't want to deal with his tantrum. Besides, Iruma thinks he messed the time-line a bit.
Because one, how the hell is Kirito the one who announced the opening speech— and two, Asmodeus is not — his friend again, something more of a mortal enemy. Should he fix that?
Maybe he should, he'll deal with that later, all the work he had done would be reduce to ashes if it's not submitted about twenty more minutes. As his grandfather always says, focus on your duty now, not later.
"Alright, see ya." And from there, he took off with all the papers on his arms.
///////// end of Irk part two //////////
This part was a little rushed, because well I'm late for online class— and Mandarin homework homework homework, not to mention writer's block fuck me.
