《More Than Meets the Eye (A Ninjago Fanfic)》Chapter 11: Seventeen and Strong

"When did you get here! It sure took you long enough." I growled, glaring at him. His repulsive figure shook as he laughed heartily at my attempt to burn him. He floated above the main deck as he did all this, of course.
"I've been here for a while child. Watching, waiting patiently for you to end your little lesson." He grinned menacingly as his eyes locked on mine.
"Morro..." Whispered Sensei in awe.
"That's my name, don't wear it out." Morro commented, his eyes still glued to mine. He looked just like he had in my dream. Greasy, jet black hair with its signature emerald green streak, a confident posture, maliciously fiery and vibrant green eyes, a cocky attitude, and a smirk playing on his lips. His countenance was pale and ghastly, especially under his hard stare.
I knew he wanted me, to break me, but I was unsure as to how and when he would act. I scoured his shadowed, dark green irises and intensely scanned his inky black pupils for any indication as to his current motive. What was he about to do to try to accomplish his goal? I rose to my feet in preparation.
That is when I saw it. It was now or never for me. I let the power flow to my palms. My skin prickled and my muscles danced and quivered in anticipation of the attack I knew was coming.
I was right because not long after I stood, Morro shot a vortex of wind in my direction. Instantaneously, I shot a green light beam back at him. We both held our streams of power as they met in the middle.
Our powers combined, a blinding light and a searing pain enveloped my frame as I was thrown back and into the wall behind me. "Gahhh!" I cried out, my spine making contact with the wall. As light and wind reacted to each other, I was encased in a smoke-like haze.

After the reaction I felt different, stronger. Why?
"Gahhh!" I heard Shimmer cry out as she was thrown back and collided with the wall behind her.
"SHIMMER!!!" I screeched, frozen to my spot on the main deck, still sitting. Everyone else was frozen, too, as we all tried to process what just happened. Even quick-thinking Nya only stared out the window of the bridge. We were all in shock. Morro was thrown back too, but of course, he was floating in the sky and was only pushed back a ways.
Due to the reaction of powers, Shimmer was soon shrouded in a smoke-like mist that hung thickly in the air. I could only stare into the haze, hoping she was all right, as my head spun in confusion.
I pushed myself up and stood. I felt really different. Attempting to view myself and why I felt weird, I gazed downward in an effort to see my hands through the fog. The effort turned out to be pointless. I couldn't see well enough to tell what was wrong.
I proceeded to walk forward, following the direction of the thinning fog, in a determined stance. I continued on until I broke through the mist and into the light.
I mustered up the strength to stand as I gazed into the mass of hazy atmosphere. I soon found what I was looking for. The silhouette of a person moved around in the dense mist. It gradually grew more defined and darker in color as the figure proceeded to make its way towards clear air.
I watched as Shimmer stepped out of the cloud. All I could think was "wow..." I stared at her in awe. My jaw dropped to the floor as she looked up from inspecting her hands and body. I swear I was drooling. She was a seventeen-year-old again and let me tell you, she was HOT, beautiful, gorgeous, stunning, perfect.

As she looked up her gaze met mine for a moment. 'Yup, I don't think I'll ever find a girl as hot as she is...' I thought to myself.
Her frame was thin. She wore the warm glow of sun-kissed skin upon her body. She looked slightly shorter than me and she had small features. She had a nice curve at her waistline, not too much, but not too little. The skin on her face was flawless and looked radiant in the midday sun. Her eyes emanated a light unlike any other, they glowed a stunning emerald which contained tiny flecks of jade green here and there. Her hair hung loosely down her back, the rich, chocolate brown strands fluttered against the small of her back in the wind, flowing elegantly in glossy waves.
I began to feel warm all over as I realized how lucky I was to have met such a beauty, and I thought I loved her when she was merely cute inside and out now she's drop-dead-gorgeous inside and out...heaven help me. I swear my heart was going to beat out of my chest when I heard her honey-like voice say, "I'm seventeen again," as she tore her gaze from mine and focused those beautiful shining orbs on Morro with anger and hatred residing deep within.
I stepped out of the smoke and looked down at my hands and body before connecting my eyes to Lloyd's. I tore my gaze from Lloyd's mesmerizing blue eyes and fixed my glare-like gaze on Morro. Hatred was building up within me, along with a thirst for revenge. He was going down.
Morro regained his authoritative and ominously regal stance. I decided to regain mine. Erecting my body and a strong, proud manner, I braced myself, ready for whatever was next. "I'm seventeen again." I said sweetly, all the while smirking and shooting daggers at Morro with my eyes.
One thing is for sure. Either I'm going down or he is.
