《Forbidden Love || Anakin x Reader》Chapter 85: Count

All three of us quickly hopped onto the close available speeder. Following Bane's steps and the inside information, Obi-wan had lent us.
We found ourselves in the forest. Obi-Wan had his blaster out, directing his aim onto Bane, and the Chancellor, as always, was mighty fine.
Anakin, in a hurry, jumped from the speeder approaching the Chancellor as he, too, whipped out his lightsaber directing his aim onto another bounty. "Ah! Please! Do not kill Moralo Eval!" the bounty cried out. He had his hand placed onto his waist, groaning from pain.
"Amidala, Skywalker, take him and Bane into custody and make sure the Chancellor is returned safely to the Palace." My master order. I jumped from the speeder seat, walking over to take Bane's wrists. "You did a good job, Obi-Wan." Master Windu praised Obi-Wan, who had a smirk on his face.
"Kenobi!" Bane grunted. I lifted him from the ground cuffing his wrists. "I should have known. Something smelled wrong about you from the start," Bane scoffed. He was resisting, though I carefully twisted his arm, making him groan in pain, a smirk appeared on my face. Looking up to my Master's face, he rolled his eyes playfully.
"Yes. Well, spending so much time with you was no reward either." Obi-Wan sarcasm made me chuckle. "Reward?!" I'll give you a reward when I plug you full of laser bolts!" He screamed. He almost seemed like a baby the way his legs would crazily move. "In your dreams, Bane." I teased, pushing him forward in the direction of the speeder.
"Well, this was a pleasant day on Naboo." I smiled weakly into Ani's direction and placed Bane onto the back of the seat, strapping his body in a tight belt. Anakin, on the other hand, had pushed his bounty onto the speeder harshly, "Well, at least tomorrow will be better." He chuckled, wiping the dirt on his robes.

The following day was indeed better. Bane and his "girlfriend" had both been pleased into custody, and even though I wasn't sharing the same room as Anakin, feeling him close was everything.
My room was small, but it reminded me so much of home. That feeling always carried heavy on my shoulders; perhaps when this war is all over, a nice vacation would be perfect here.
Standing up from my bed was strange; the whole room seemed to be going in circles. That was when the pit in my stomach had accumulated up to my throat. In a rush, I headed straight into the bathroom, throwing up almost everything I ate the night before.
I sat on the bathroom floor, my hand placed on top of the toilet cover. It had been the third time in the last three weeks. Every morning there was always something different with my body.
"General Amidala, the ship is here." Cody's voice came through my intercom band. I groaned, "I'm going, Cody." I answered. I smoothed my hair backward, slowly getting up from the bathroom ground. Looking at myself in the mirror, I was a disaster, but so quickly, I placed my hair in a bun, brushed my teeth, and promptly headed out.

Outside the Palace, almost everyone stood. However, my eyes quickly placed themselves onto Anakin. He stood beside the Chancellor but quickly turned his back. A smile appeared on his lips, and he walked in my direction. "Hey, where have you been?" He asked me as he led me to the center of the group.
"Oh, you know, girl things." I chuckled. I didn't want to worry Ani about all the things that had been happening. I had assumed it was something I've been eating, but it couldn't possibly happen every day. Besides, he already had much to deal with.
"Once again, you have all distinguished yourselves in the eyes of the Republic, and the people of Naboo are in your debt." My sister gave one of her infamous speeches. She wore a purple gown, and it looked beautiful on her as always. "Is all part of the job, my lady," Zander replied in her favor. A slight pink color appeared on his cheeks soon afterward. Though, Padme brushed it off.
"You look terrible," Anakin commented soon after everyone had gone their separate ways.
"Yeah. Being a criminal is not easy work." Obi-wan replied.
"If I'd known what was going on, I could have helped you. Too bad the council didn't trust me." Anakin added. He sounded hurt. We all three continued to walk in silence until Obi-Wan halted at once. "Anakin, it was my decision to keep the truth from you," Obi-Wan said as he placed his hand onto Anakin's shoulder, stopping him in place.
"I knew if you were convinced I was dead, Dooku would believe it as well." Kenobi huffed. His eyes were drawn to the ground, too afraid to face Anakin's eyes. "Your decision?" Anakin questioned with a snark. I stood watching, not knowing what to add. Master Kenobi wasn't my Master, he was my friend, but there was no severe attachment as Anakin had with him.
"Look, I know I did some questionable things, but I did what I had to do. I hope you can understand that." Obi-Wan mumbled again, his words overlapping each other. Though, in Ani's face, he didn't take his words lightly. His brows scrunched up, and his jaw clenched, "You lied to me. How many other lies has the council told me? And how do you know that you even know the whole truth?" Anakin placed his pointer finger close to his face, his words louder as they kept going. Anger was his fuel at the moment, and with that, he walked away angrily.
"Obi-Wan, he is just angry," I explained. His head hung down low; not a word came out of his mouth. "I can sense something is bothering you," I added, his head lifted from the ground, placing his one hand in his usual spot, under his chin. "What if we don't know the whole truth? I'm going to stay. I need to check one last thing." He replied. I nodded my head in response before he walked off.
Yup, those two had a lot more talking to do.

I paced up, catching up with the rest; I walked beside Ani, who is still furious about what had happened. I knew it wasn't the right time to talk, so walking back to the Palace was silent.

When we arrived, everyone went their separate ways, Ani went to his room, and the rest followed the Chancellor. I took this as an opportunity to be with Anakin, seeing this was probably our last day on Naboo; I wanted to spend it with someone I loved.
When the hallways of the Palace were clear, I made my way to his room—sneaking past every guard and Jedi until I approached his door. I knocked lightly, and in a matter of seconds, the door had opened. "Hey," I whispered. A soft smile cracked on the edges of his cheeks. "I was waiting for your arrival." He smirked, grabbing my hand and pulling me inside.
His room was exactly like mine, only in an opposite view. "Waiting, huh." I chuckled, looking around and finally placing my eyes onto his face. My hands placed themselves around his neck, kissing his lips. "Of course, my lady." He kissed me again, a smile formed between our kisses when a slight knock surprised both of us.
I leaned back, "what do I do?" I whispered, looking around the small room we were in. "Pretend you're helping me or something." He panicked. "Uh, okay," I said, quickly slapping him across his face. "Ouch." He mumbled, placing his hand across his cheek, "Perfect, I'm helping you with your wounds. I'll answer the door." I smiled, walking over and opening the door to see Chancellor Palpatine's face.
"Your Majesty, what a surprise. Anakin here was telling me all about his battle wounds and how devastated it was that it hurt him." I forced a smile. "Ah, well, I'm happy to see both of you. Let's take a walk." The Chancellor suggested. I looked back, seeing Anakin still holding onto his cheek as I mumbled a sorry. Maybe slapping him wasn't the best option; the Chancellor didn't seem to be surprised or even ask for more details.
"We will leave as soon as Queen Neeyuntee's banquet is over. I also want to say goodbye to Senator Amidala. She has been a very gracious host." The Chancellor smiled in my direction, taking my arms and leaning onto my body for a hug.
"Hmm. Padme didn't mention a banquet to us," I replied, embarrassed. She was my sister, she had to tell me everything, and she didn't. Both Anakin and I had no recollection of ever being invited. "Perhaps she meant it as a surprise." the Chancellor chuckled under his breath. "I must say, the lengths the Jedi will go to is nothing short of incredible. I assume the brilliant plan to disguise Obi-wan Kenobi was yours, Anakin." Palpatine added.
God, this man knew everything. "Uh, no... it wasn't, sir. I was in the dark as much as you were." Anakin replied. The Chancellor's eyes popped up, housing an evil smirk that quickly disappeared, making my eyebrow raise. "Really? Interesting," he asked, so surprised.
"I was under the impression the Jedi always worked as a team," Palpatine added. He walked into the dining room, and to my surprise, across the long table was Dooku. I felt my throat become tight; I hadn't seen him in forever. A recollection of memories had spiraled into my mind.
"Welcome." His voice echoed in the room. The doors behind us had slammed shut; our eyes fell onto the sith lord. Out of the shadows came out two guards that held spears. "My gracious, it's a trap!" Palpatine cried, terrified.
"Chancellor, stay behind." I grabbed the sleeves of his robe, pushing him behind mine and Anakin's body.
"You should have quit while you were still alive, Dooku." I scoffed.
"Fighting off the entire Jedi security force would have been difficult, but now that they're gone, defeating you both will be an easy task. "Dooku said as he stood up from his chair; his red saber hummed as it ignited.
From my peripherals, both of his guards began to twist their spears, "You will try." I whispered and then quickly ignited both my sabers, blocking their spear hits. Anakin did the same. In a short and quick battle, dissembling their hands, waist, legs, and heads was done in a matter of 30 seconds.
We then ran in the direction of Dooku. Jumping on the table and chairs until, finally, his body was in close range to begin to swing. He was precise in every doge and action he did. "Anakin, look out!" I shouted. Dooku had used the force to throw Ani a massive table hitting him straight onto his face.
"Your turn, Skywalker." His words shocked him. Skywalker? And in that instance, Dooku had thrown silverware of forks, plates, trays in my direction. I groaned, seeing two forks that had stabbed themselves onto my arm; quickly pulling them out without hesitation, I swung my sabers, taking a quick leap in his direction.
Dooku took one of the chairs from the dining room, making my sabers stab into the cushion. And instead of taking them out completely, I continued to push the sabers through, almost able to touch the tip of his nose on the other side.
Though, the chair had cracked itself in half. Leaving a spot of vulnerability, I swung my sabers again in a committed saber battle. The hatred I felt for this man was elevated; caught in the moment, I found one of my hands wrapped around his throat, using every strength I had to choke him.
His grunts echoed in the room; however, he used his force lightning to push my body back onto the pillars. The back of my head hit the top of the pillar as my whole body slammed onto the ground.

8 211Cardinal of Sin
They say sin comes at a horrible price. Or...perhaps I'm misremembering the saying. Regardless, I'm usually inclined to agree with the aforementioned statement. When one is held hostage by their own carnal instincts; never being able to fully control their primitive impulses...Well, let's just say, it would destroy a lesser man. That, I know. I died because of my lack of self-control, after all. I must admit, though. I didn't expect to change this belief of mine after meeting my end, but here I am. Breathing. In a world I don't belong; a world of magic. Here I am, whisked into another reality with the power to sin. To conquer.
