《Forbidden Love || Anakin x Reader》Chapter 86: A New Hope

Waking up was a strange feeling. Every spot in my body felt sore, and looking down at my legs, I noticed I was in a medical bay. I hadn't realized the severity of last night's occasion, but it must have been bad since I ended up in here with all these cords wrapped around my body.
I remembered being pushed into a pillar and Anakin being shoved a table to the face, but that's all about it. If I was knocked unconscious, why didn't Dooku finish me off? And where was the Chancellor now or even Ani?
So many questions ran through my mind, the panic in my body began to rise, and only the beat of my heart was the thing I heard. That's when the doors of the medical bay had opened, and in walked Padme. She seemed to be distressed as if she hadn't gotten much sleep.
"Padme the Chancellor-" I began to talk, but quickly she placed one of her hands onto my shoulder, pushing me back down towards the bed. "The Chancellor is fine; Obi-Wan was able to stop Dooku." She mumbled. Her voice was calming, but it didn't stop me from asking more questions. "Is he dead?" I asked, confused. "No, he got away, but that shouldn't be a matter of concern to you anymore." She sat on the edge of the bed, now placing her other hand onto my forehead as if she was checking out my temperature.
"It shouldn't be a concern? Padme, the reason I'm in this place was because of him." I shoved her hand from my head, sitting my body up from the bed when she quickly pushed me back down once again. "No, that's not the reason at all." She hissed back. I raised an eyebrow, confused that other reasons could have happened that one night?

She stood up from the bed, walking over to the window. The Naboo lake was in clear view, but that's when it hit me. I was still in Naboo. "What other reasons could I be here for?" I asked, concerned.
"I think you should leave the Jedi Order." She voiced. Her eyes were still staring into the view of the lake. Leave the Order?! "Padme, are you insane? Why say such a thing when it was the Jedi who helped you." I was shocked. Padme was the sort of girl to always to place her duties first, but now it is her who wanted me to pull away.
I pulled out the cords that have been connected to all sides of my body. Groaning, I sat on the edge, looking for my robes that were no longer on my body. I was wearing some medical patient dressings that were hideous.
"Why didn't you tell me?" Padme asked after a quick moment of silence. She turned her body back around; her eyes seemed as though they were about to fall with tears. I rolled my eyes, shaking it off, "Tell you what?" I scuffed, jumping from the bed; my feet placed themselves onto the cold, harsh ground. I wandered to find my lightsaber and robes.
"That you're pregnant." She blurted.
I halted in my actions.
"What?" I mumbled.
Pregnant? I can't be. There was no way.
"The Queen guards brought you in after they saw you laying on the ground knocked unconscious. You were lucky; Master Skywalker was there to distract Dooku. You could have been dead." She shut her eyes, turning back around towards the window.
"No, Padme, what do you mean I'm pregnant?" I asked, annoyed. I walked over to her location, placing my hands onto her shoulder, turning her whole body around.

"Upon arriving, the medic droids did many examinations. You're a Jedi who's pregnant. I never heard of such a thing. You had a responsibility to the Order, Y/n. It's not even about that; I'm your sister. A part of being family is telling me your secrets." She fumed. More and more tears started to slip from her eyes.
Yeah, I was scared. To tell her I had a secret marriage with a Jedi. But I was more afraid that I didn't even know I was expecting. "I'm pregnant," I whispered to myself. Sitting back onto the edge of the bed. It all started to make sense; all the mornings I had felt sick, they all made sense. "You didn't know?" She asked, her head tilted to one side. I shook my head in reply. The fear of what was to come had my heart beating faster than it's ever had. "Wait, then who is the father?" Padme asked.
I took a moment to decide whether to tell her everything or keep this one thing a secret. But I knew lying wasn't the best option. She was my sister, after all, "Anakin," I whispered, shutting my eyes; I felt ashamed.
"Please, Padme, you must keep this a secret. If the council were to find out about this, they'd kick him out of the Order." I bounced back down from the bed, placing my hands onto the sides of her shoulders. Terrified at the moment that everything had been placed out.
"We're family Y/n, but think about what you're doing. You cannot continue in the Order being pregnant. That's just reality; you will do more harm staying," She explained, her eyes were full of concern.
"I know, but I can't leave now. The war had just started to become more severe; the Jedi need me. My masters need me." I commented. It wasn't as simple. To be stripped away from the Jedi was something I didn't want to go through. Yes, there was such a thing as leaving peacefully, but I didn't want to leave at this exact moment.
"If you want to keep it a secret, you must." She placed her hand onto my shoulder, heading towards the exit. "Does he know?" She questioned, stopping at the door frame. "No," I mumbled, leaning my head down towards the ground. "Tell him," she added before leaving the clinic.
And another task had been added to my list. No, I will tell him when the time is right.
