《Forbidden Love || Anakin x Reader》Chapter 28: Aggressive Negotiations

As every second passed, the destroyers were slowly creeping closer. I didn't know whether to surrender or die fighting.
I held onto Anakin's stomach, hugging myself into him. I had mentally prepared for the shots to come in every direction, though I wasn't that upset; at least I had him.
As moments passed, there was no change. Until out of the corner of my eyes was the ignition of multiple sabers. The Jedi were here and ready to fight.
My master had been on the same ground level with his cloak on fire. That was our signal to move; I patted Anakin's arm to leave the circle of destroyers.
We took off running in the direction of the Jedi. Handed to us were our lightsabers, well, not exactly, but it will do at the moment. Taking my saber into my hands, I ignited it and pointed to the chains and cuffs still tied around our wrist. The blade sliced through the metal, finally setting us entirely free.
"Watch out!" Obi-Wan yelled as a massive pile of sand and dust crashed on the three-horned beast knocking it over. Upon landing on the ground, the scar that had formed on my back had become unbearably painful.
I groaned as I sat on my knees. Slightly afterward, Anakin had placed his hand above the scar, carefully examining it. "You'll be alright; come now, we must get up." He said fastly, shifting his body to the front of mine. He held my hand with his free one helping me up from the ground.
I ignited my saber once again, deflecting blaster shots from every direction. These dumb little droids were the easiest to control and confuse. Though one of them had a different color from the rest, it was gray. I tilted my head in confusion, but that didn't last long. The carriage that Anakin and were once on had passed by in full speed.

Running towards the creature, I jumped on its back, riding it while slicing the head of many battle droids. However, the sound of thump had startled me. I turned my head back to see Anakin had jumped along; I slightly smiled at him in which he returned.
After many slashes and dashes, I got to admit; this was a lot of fun. It was almost a sense of frustration that had lifted after each battle droid had been destroyed.
An unknown battle droid had made a perfect shot at the creature making the carriage tilt. I was once again on the ground. "y/n! This way!" Anakin yelled, waving his hand. He was hiding inside the carriage, getting perfect cover from the back. I nodded and ran to his side.
"You call this a diplomatic solution?" Anakin teased, still deflecting blaster shots. I sighed and rolled my eyes, "No, I call it aggressive negotiations." I said sarcastically, making him chuckle. "You know, I think we work well as a couple," Anakin yelled through the blaster shots and painful yells. "I think so too," I yelled back; for a moment, both our eyes landed on each other.
Until they were redirected to blasts flying left and right, destroying statues. As my gaze flickered from person to droid, they landed upon my master.
His purple saber had sliced through a Mandalorians neck. Caught by surprise, my breathing became heavy; this caught the attention of Anakin once more. "Are you okay?" he asked, protecting every blaster heading towards me. I had only nodded, not being able to form any sentences.
"We need more cover; this won't do," Anakin yelled, pointing at a large group of B2-series super battle droids. "I agree," I screamed once more running toward the direction of the other Jedi that had formed a group.

More and more battle droids have approached, closing us in tightly. Moments after, they had stopped moving and placed down their weapons. Then came another wave of confusion; I looked at the Jedi; they had the same look of confusion plastered on their face.
"Master Windu, you have fought gallantly, worthy of recognition in the archives of the Jedi order. Now it is finished. Surrender, and your lives will be spared." A loud familiar voice echoed through the arena. I lifted my head to see Dooku and his clown army standing behind him.
"We will not be hostages to be bartered, Dooku!" My master yelled. Count shook his head disappointedly before laying his eyes on mine. He had smiled widely; I turned my head away, hoping his face would vanish from my mind forever. "Then, I'm sorry, old friend." Dooku sadly said.
The battle droids had pointed their blasters back in our direction. This was it, the end of every Jedi here. Any moment, those blaster shots would pierce through our bodies, killing us in an instance. I looked at Anakin, who had his lightsaber in his hand, ready to use. I sighed, knowing it would get us nowhere.
Moments after, the sound of a ship had caught my attention. Shooting my head straight up, I saw an incoming ship. "Look!" I yelled. The ships had lowered themselves to the ground letting troopers out.
"Let's go!" Anakin yelled, catching my attention. I ran towards a ship that had lowered itself entirely on the ground. Taking his hand to lift me, we were on the move to a runaway Dooku.
