《Supernatural Imagines》Take My Jacket- Cas

Sitting in the most uncomfortable silence, you wondered if all angels were this awkward in person... This thought was running through your head as you drove down some two lane highway in the middle of nowhere, with Castiel in the passenger seat. The only sound surrounding the two of you was the rain drizzling onto the windshield.
You were on your way to meet up with some fellow hunters, not to mention your friends, the Winchesters. Now, normally, their angel friend would just zap himself wherever he was needed, but his angelic abilities seemed to be... acting up. Meaning he was basically human at the moment. This was all explained to you over the phone by Dean, right before he asked you to basically give him a ride to the bunker with you.
You tapped your fingers against the steering wheel, and tried not to think about the three hours of driving you still had. You glanced over the angel, and the content on his features was clear in the cloudy daylight. You'd never even seen this angel until earlier today, and any attempt to converse would just invoke more awkwardness into the situation. You had no clue what to even say to him.
You realized you were staring too long when the car started drifting into the left lane, and you were greeted by a honk from an oncoming car. After a gasp, you swerved back into your lane and now it was Cas's turn to look at you. "Are you alright?" he asked carefully, brows furrowed in worry.
"Uh, yeah, of course," you mumbled.
"Then, why have you been staring at me for the past mile?" he asked sounding more confused than usual.
You paused, breath catching in your lungs. "No, no reason," you waveringly said, eyes glued to the road. "So, uh, you're an angel huh?" you asked, feeling pricks of awkwardness in your mouth as you spoke.

"Less so now but, yes, technically I'm an angel," he said flatly, looking out the passenger window again.
"So, you're kinda like a human then?" you asked, feeling your deathly tight grip on the steering wheel loosen.
He paused before answering, and you glimpsed a thoughtful look on his face out of the corner of your eye. "I suppose I am." The new silence between you two was full of the sound of the rain thickening. What was a drizzle a few minutes ago was now a full on downpour. A part of you always loved the rain, and you hadn't seen a storm like this in years. Hearing the pounding of the droplets on the roof was comforting, nostalgic even from when you were a kid and bolted outside whenever you saw rain.
"Wow it's really comin' down out there," you said, a whisper of a smile on your face as you leaned forward to look up at the dark clouds. And suddenly, an idea occurred to you. Looking at the road in front of you and seeing no cars, you pulled to the side of the road.
"What are you doing?" Cas asked, looking at you with confusion.
"We're going to stretch our legs a bit," you answered, taking the key out of the ignition.
"But...it's raining," he said slowly.
"That's the point," you said, your smile meeting his confused eyes.
"" he asked, clarifying your actions as if you were crazy.
"Yeah," you smiled, opening your door and running into the rain. Cas hesitated in the car, watching as you sprinted into the downpour, arms stretched out to feel the rain.
You were soaked in a matter of seconds, but the cool feeling of water washing over you was relaxing. Then you finally saw Castiel out of the corner of your eye, walking toward you. While you had a smile etched onto your face, Cas just looked confused.

"See? Doesn't it feel refreshing?" you smiled, rain drops dripping from your hair into your skin.
Cas walked closer to you looking up at the sky before meeting your eyes. "Yes it...it does," he said with a hint of a smile. His smile stoked the fire of yours, making you laugh with happiness. You took a few steps back from him, spinning around sloppily in the rain, a laugh still audible from your lips.
"Here," you heard Cas say, and you turned back to him, "." The trench coat fell from his shoulders and before you could protest, the jacket was wrapped around your shoulders. Despite the dampness of the jacket, you still felt warmth emanating from it.
Your disorderly laughter was calmed by the gesture, a peaceful smile - accompanied by rosy cheeks - now took its place. "I didn't know you were such a gentleman, Castiel," you grinned, realizing how close the two of you were. His cheeks mirrored yours, rosy with embarrassment. You noticed through the rain just how blue his eyes were, and couldn't help but to get lost in them. You felt rain drip down your face and noticed his gaze fall to your lips for a split second.
"A-According to what Dean refers to as 'chick-flicks', this is where we kiss?" Cas said uneasily, causing you to raise a brow. "W-With the rain, and-" he was going to continue, but you thought it'd be best to beat him to the punch. You leaned up and pressed your lips to his, gently, almost ghostly, until you felt his lips return the kiss.
