~In a diner~
The three were sitting at a table, Sam with his laptop open, (M/n) was snuggled up to Dean.
"So much for our low profile. You've got a warrant in St. Louis, and now you're officially in the Fed's database." Sam said.
"Dude, I'm like a Dillinger or something." Dean grinned.
"Dean, its' not funny. Make the job harder, we've gotta be careful now."
"Well, what do they got on you?"
"I'm sure they just haven't posted it yet." The youngest muttered.
"No accessory? Nothing?"
"Shut up."
"You're jealous."
"No, I'm not!"
"What they have on (M/n)?"
"Just that he might have faked his own death and might have helped you in murder."
"I wasn't even around during that St. Louis thing."
"I know." Sam shut his computer and pulled out several pages or research. "Architect Sean Boyden plummeted to his death from the roof of his home, a condominium he designed."
"Hmmm. Build a high-rise and jump off the top of it. That's classy. When did he call animal control?" Dean asked.
"Two days earlier."
"Did he actually say Black Dog?"
"Yeah. A vicious, wild, black dog. The authorities couldn't find it, no one else saw it. In fact, the authorities are a little confused as to how a wild dog could get past doorman, take the elevator up and start roaming the halls of the cushiest joint in town. After that, no more calls, he doesn't show up for work, two days later he takes a swan dive."

"Do you think we're dealing with an actual Black Dog?"
"Well, maybe.
"What the lore on it?"
Sam passed Dean the pages. "It's pretty vague. I mean, there are spectral black dogs all over the world, but....some say they're animal spirits, whatever they are, they're big, nasty."
"Yeah, I bet they could hump the crap outta your leg, look at that one, huh?" He held up a picture and smirked. Sam glared. ""What?" They could." (M/) just chuckled.
~Apartment~
In a posh, well-lit room, Sam, Dean, and (M/n) were wearing suits and interviewing a man.
"So, you and Sean Boyden were business partners for almost ten years, right?"
"That's right. Now one more time, this is for..."
"A tribute for Mr. Boyden. Architectural Digest." The man laughed. "This is funny to you?" The demon asked.
"No, it...it's just, a tribute. See, Sean always got the tributes. He kills himself, leaves me and his family behind....well, he gets another tribute."
"Right. Any idea why he'd do such a thing?"
"I....I have no clue, I mean he lived a charmed life." The man said.
"How so?" The demon asked.
"He was a flat-out genius. I mean, I'm capable, but next to him, I....and it wasn't always that way, either."
"No?"
"You wanna know the truth? There was a time where he couldn't even design a pup tent. Hell, ten years ago he's working as a bartender at this place called Lloyds. A complete dive."
"Right. So what changed?" Sam asked the man.
"You got me. But overnight, he gets this huge commission, and he starts designing.....he starts designing the most ingenious building anyone has ever seen. It was like, the level of Van Gogh, and Mozart...." He cut off all of a sudden.

"What?"
"It's funny. True geniuses, they seem to die young, don't they? To have that kind of talent? Why....why throw it away?"
~Street~
The three approach a white suburban door and knock.
"I swear, if this is another freakin' Pomeranian barking in the neighbor's yard...." As soon as the door opened, the Winchester smiled. On the other side was a young woman.
"Afternoon, ma'am." He pulled out an ID. "Uh, Animal Control,"
"Oh, someone already came yesterday." She said.
"Oh, we're just following up. We're looking for Dr. Sylvia Pearlman."
~Inside Dr. Pearlman's House~
"The doctor, well, she, I don't know exactly when she'll be back, she left two days ago."
"Okay. And you are..?"
"I'm Ms. Pearlman's maid."
"So where did the doctor go?"
"I;m not sure. She just packed up and went, she didn't say where. That stray dog, did you find it finally?" The maid asked.
"Oh, not yet. You know, you didn't ever happen to see the dog yourself, did you?" (M/n) asked.
"Well, no. I never even heard it. I was almost starting to think the doctor was imagining things, but she's not like that, so..."
"Hey, you know I read she was, uh chief surgeon at the hospital. She gotta be what, forty two, forty three? That's pretty young for that job." Dean said.
"Youngest in the history of the place. She got the position...ten years ago?"
"Huh."
"Huh. An overnight success. Ten years ago."
"Yeah, we know a guy like that. Oh, look at this." The eldest held up a photo and flipped it over to show writing on the back. "Lloyd's Bar."
~Crossroads~
The three pulled up outside Lloyd's Bar and got out. As they walked towards the bar, Dean noticed some yellow flowers growing by the side of the road. He stopped.
"That's weird."
(M/n) looked at the crossroads, there were more yellow flowers growing.
"What?" Sam asked his brother.
"Think someone planted these?"
"Middle of all these weeds?"
"These are, uh, what do you call 'em."
"Yarrow flowers. Used for summoning rituals." The demon said, getting a bit worried, he knew what it was used for, but couldn't put his finger on it.
"Heh. So, two people become sudden successes about ten years ago. Right around the time they were hanging out here at Lloyd's,"
"Where there just happens to be a crossroads. You think?" Sam asked his brother.
"I think (M/n) is finding that out now." he watched the boy walk to the center of the crossroads and looked around, measuring in his head.
"Dead center...." He knelt down to the ground and dug a few inches into the hard soil, he dug until he pulled out an old rusted box. He opened it. The brothers looked in the box. There was were several small bones and a small stoppered jar among other things. The demon took the jar out.
"I'd be willing to bet that's graveyard dirt. And a black cat bone."
"That's some serious spell work. I, mean, that's Deep South Hoodoo stuff." Dean said.
"Shit!" The demon threw the stuff down and paced, panicking. Dean grabbed his shoulders.
"(M/n), what is it?"
"We're dealing with a Crossroads Demon. These people are making pacts and deals with these things. When time runs out, they send a hellhound to get them." The boy started panicking more.
"Ok, so we stop it. Why are you getting all worked up for?" Sam asked.
"You don't understand. I've screwed over a lot of Crossroad Demons."

New God
Who said being a God was easy. If you started omniscient; omnipotent and omnipresent then it might be. However, without those powers it would be a different story entirely. This is that story. Adam is thrown into a new world with no choice and no instructions. At least he is a God, whatever that means... Lovely Royal Road readers: Imagine a tutorial with no instructions and no idea what the game was meant to be and what you are trying to achieve. All you know is that you are a God (whatever that means). So this is quite slow to start; mainly world building for me; a bit of base building by the MC and some good old minion development. I'm developing/practicing my writing and love the format of RR to get it out of my head. So hopefully it gets better with time as I get better. All feedback welcome - but please critique and tell me why you don't like it (if you don't) I'd rather a 1-star review than a 2-star(plus) rating!

Art of Mortality
New Synopsis after chapter 56: Long long ago, there was a mortal who despised the gods and envied the immortals. Why do the mortals have to die when the gods wish them to? Why do worlds have to perish when the gods say so? Why do only immortals get to live forever, why not mortals like him? As his family, friends, and his loved one died, he lamented. He wailed, he cried. He cursed the immortals, blasphemed the gods, spat at the heavens. But he was just a mere mortal. His curses were pointless, his blasphemous words were useless, and his spits only returned back to fall on his face. At last, he thought, enough was enough, he would definitely do something about it. He decided that it was time for the multiverse to know what a mortal can do. He was the first mortal to cultivate. Eventually, after a long struggle, he killed the Immortals, enslaved the Gods, and shattered the heavens. He reshaped the multiverse and rewrote his fate. In the end, he reincarnated as he decided upon a grand scheme, a scheme to rule 'All and Always'. He came up with the concept of what is known today as 'Paragon'. And with this, all of reality, 'All and Always', was finally reforming, according to a Mortal's Wish. Synopsis (Old): In the vast and complex multiverse, what can a mortal accomplish? In the grand scheme of things, what can a mortal change? In truth, what is a mortal, and what is mortality? Being mortal is being ordinary, the same as being trash, or so says The World. "No, mortality is an art, and a true mortal is a grand artist. Being the root of all, a mortal can become anything.", says a young mortal boy. Meet Edward Alexander, a mortal boy walking the path against gods and immortals, fighting to the end to rewrite his destiny, and change the grand scheme of things. Can he really change the grand scheme of things? Or maybe he himself is the Grand Schemer? To know the answer, follow Edward Alexnder on his journey to demonstrate the Art of Mortality.*******

Founding of Humanity - Animalist
This is the dawn of the age of mankind. It is time to push back the wilderness and establish the kingdoms and empires that will govern this land. Players, the elect of the gods, are now coming to help humanity fight back. The dark ages are ended, and now is the time to lay the foundation! Now is the time to establish civilization! This is the Founding of Humanity! I am building this world for my own amusement, releases are not on any kind of schedule. I got to thinking "what if a beast tamer was changed by what they tamed" and this game mechanic sprung to mind. I do not know where this story is going. The main character is becoming a skill hoarder, as that is an advantage of the class design. The game system in this story is insipred by Log Horizon and Sword Art Online, where you get a skill and that is the skill, instead of getting a skill and then leveling it through tiers and rankings.
