~Farmhouse~
Sam is bound to a chair and gagged, a sack is over his head. It's pulled off by the bartender from the bar. He shows a lot of fangs and advances to Sam, who struggles.
As the vampire advanced to Sam, a woman appears in the doorway.
"Wait! Step back, Eli."
The man named Eli pulls back, his fangs retracting. The woman walks over and pulls the gag out of Sam's mouth.
"My name's Lenore. I'm not going to hurt you. We just need to talk."
"Talk? Yeah, okay, but I might have a tough time paying attention to much besides Eli's teeth."
"He won't hurt you either. You have my word." The woman reassured him.
"Your word? Oh yeah, great, thanks. Listen lady, no offense but you're not the first vampire I've met."
"We're not like the others. We don't kill human, and we don't drink their blood. We haven't for a long time."
"What is this, some kind of joke?"
"Notice you're still alive." Lenore pointed out.
"Okay, uh, correct me if I'm wrong here, but shouldn't you be starving to death?" The Winchester asked.
"We've found other ways. Cattle blood."
"You're telling me you're responsible for all the-"
"It's not ideal, in fact it disgusting. But- it allows us to get by."
"Okay, why?"
"Survival. No deaths, no missing locals, no reason for people like you to come looking for people like us. We blend in. Our kind is practically extinct. Turns out we weren't quite as high up the food chain as we imagined."
"Why are we explaining ourselves to this killer?" Eli asked.
"Eli!"
"We choke on cow's blood so that none of them suffer. Tonight they murder Conrad and they celebrated."
"Eli, that's enough." Lenore told the man.
"Yeah, Eli, that's enough."
"What's done is done. We're leaving this town tonight."

"Then why did you bring me here? Why are you even talking to me?"
"Believe me, I'd rather not. But I know your kind. Once you have the scent you'll keep tracking us. It doesn't matter where we go. Hunters will find us."
"So you're asking us not to follow you."
"We have a right to live. We're not hurting anyone."
"Alright, I see what your saying. But why should I believe you?"
"There like me, Sam." (M/n) showed up next to him. "Trying to get away."
Eli's teeth grew back and Lenore growled. "We are nothing alike, demon. Unlike us, you have a lot of blood on your hands."
(M/n) nodded. "That's true. I've killed more then you, but I sure as hell will make sure hunters don't come after you. Trust."
Lenore thought a moment.
~Motel~
Dean and Gordon sat at the table, discussing a strategy over a map.
"This is the best pattern I can establish. It's sketchy at best."
"Looks like it all coming from this side of town. Which means the nest would be around here someplace, right?" Dean asked.
"Yep, that's what I'm thinking. Problem is. there's thirty-five, forty farms out there. I've searched about half of them already, but nothing yet. They're covering their tracks real good."
"Well, I guess we'll just have to search the other half." Dean looked at his watch. "What time is it? Where's Sam and (M/n)?"
"Car's parked outside. Probably went for a walk."
The door opens and the two entered. Sam gave Dean a look.
"Where you bee- Oh my god! (M/n) are you ok!?" Dean rushed over to the demon, seeing the blood on his face. "Did the vamps do this to you?"
"No, Dea-"
"I swear I'll kill them if they hurt you." Dean interrupted.
"Dean! Listen to us!" The boy yelled, getting frustrated. Dean quieted down.
"Can I talk to you alone?" Sam asked his brother quietly. The other nodded.
~Parking lot~
Sam and Dean left the motel room and walk into the parking lot.

"Dean, maybe we've got to rethink this hunt."
"What are you talking about? Where were you?"
"In the nest."
"You found it?"
"They found me, man."
"How'd you get out? How many did you kill?"
"None." The younger replied.
"Well, Sam, they didn't just let you go."
"That's exactly what they did."
"All right, well, where is it?"
"I was blindfolded, I don't know."
"Well, you've got to know something."
"We went over that bridge outside of town, but Dean, listen. Maybe we shouldn't go after them."
"Why not?"
"I don't think they're like other vampires. I don't think they're killing people."
"You're joking. Then how do they stay alive? Or undead, or whatever the hell they are."
"The cattle mutilations. THey said they live off animal blood."
"And you believed them?"
"Look at me, Dean. They let e go without a scratch. And they let (M/n) go without any harm. He showed up with the blood on him."
"He knows where the nest is?" Dean asked.
"I don't know what the kid knows and doesn't know anymore. All I gotta say is I wouldn't ask him."
"Yeah, he seems pretty pissed."
"But wait, you're saying...No, man, no way. I don't know why they let you go. I don't really care. We find 'em, we waste 'em."
"Why?"
"What part of 'vampires' don't you understand, Sam? If its supernatural, we kill it, end of story. That's our job."
"Then why haven't you killed (M/n) yet?" Sam asked, shocing the other male abit.
"Well....he's different."
"Not as different as the vampires we're dealing with now. We hunt evil, Dean. And if these things aren't killing people, they're not evil!"
"Of course they're killing people, that's what they do. They're all the same, Sam. They're not human, okay? We have to exterminate every last on of them.."
"No, Dean, I don't think so, all right? Not this time."
"Gordon's been on those vamps for a year, man, he knows."
"Gordon?"
"Yes."
"You're taking his word for it?"
"That's right."
"Ellen says he's bad news."
"You called Ellen?"
~In the motel~
(M/n) was in the bathroom, washing his face. He looked in the mirror. All he could see was a person he didn't want to be. He lashed out and punched the mirror, shattering it.
"God damn it!" He started hitting things that were near him.
"Why don't you just end it, God?! This isn't the life I want to live! Just let me be normal.....please...." The boy sank down to the ground, his bloody hands covering his face. He started to cry. His wounds healing.
"What the hell are you?" Gordon asked, standing in the doorway, a face of disgust plastered on him. The boy slowly looked at him. Seeing a gun pointed at him.
"Do it. I dare you." His eyes turned black, and there was a loud bang.
The brothers looked at the motel. "(M/n)." Dean whispered and ran to the room.
They looked around and saw (M/n) leaning against the tub, bullet hole where his heart is, not moving. Gordon was nowhere to be scene.
"(M/n)! Are you okay? Say something!" Dean held the male.
"Is he gone?" (M/n) asked, the wound healed. Dean sighed in relief.
"Yeah, he's gone."
"Good, man is psycho."
~Impala~
Dean was hotwiring his car and grimacing.
"I can't believe this. I just fixed her up, too." The car started. "So the bridge, is that, uh, is that all you got?"
"The bridge was four and half minutes from their farm." Sam remembered.
"How do you know?"
"I counted." He started tracing a path on the map in his lap. "They look a left out of the farm, then turned right onto a dirt road, followed that for two minutes slightly up hill, then took another quick right and we hit the bridge." The demon whistled, impressed.
"You're good."
~Bridge~
Gordon's car crosses the bridge and turns up a small road. Some ways behind, the three boys were in the Impala. Sam sighs, staring at the map. Dean glances at him, then looks back to the road.
~Farmhouse~
Lenore comes out of the house with a box, sets it on the flatbed of a truck. She turned and Gordon is there. He grabs her, raises a knife that glistened with blood. He stabs it into her chest, she goes limp.
"Dean man's blood bitch."

Synergy
Dear Inspector, Please accept this letter as my formal resignation from being a Player. Hey! Laugh all you want, but I had to try. With no rules down here, who's to say that I can't resign? Anyway, my reasons are simple: I'm neither a gamer nor a hero. You got the wrong person for the job. Sure, the pay is decent and I could pretty much live like a king if, you know, I wasn't so busy trying to survive. I have major concerns about the demonic dagger bound to my soul too. Come to think of it, I've never asked to be transported to this fantasy land either and would like you to return me home, thank you very much. I don't want supernatural powers, I don't want to complete quests after quests, and I don't want to be your test subject anymore. What? I'm not whining, you're whining. Stop making excuses and let me leave already. Thank you for your understanding, and I hope you'll find a better replacement after I'm gone for good. Sincerely,Randel, the Mad Painter What to expect from Synergy: --> Some GameLit elements are presented subversively. If you want the protagonist to “play the game” properly, this might not be the story for you.--> No filler chapters; the story's structure is already plotted out. It's going to have six story arcs.--> Character development happens slowly, over many chapters. Don't expect a perfect protagonist right off the bat.--> Some romance, but it will never be the main focus.--> Humor and dark elements in equal measure, but not to the extent that I’d label this story as “Comedy” or “Grimdark”. ... and lots and lots of Author's Notes. See you on the other side of the portal!

Our Shattered Realms
*This is a learning experience for me so please keep in mind that I am attempting to work on some of the issues brought to my attention early on. However I haven't yet gone back to redo the early chapters.* Less than two days ago every piece of electronics in the world stopped working for more than two hours. The death toll was immense. Hospital equipment failed, cars stopped in the middle of the street, planes fell from the sky, and homework was lost at the worst possible moment. We found out that it was just the flicker and hum of The System warming up. Now we see the true cost of our new world. A Dark comedy that focuses on a few of the many people who aren't stuck in a high level dungeon when our world is translated and joined to Our Shattered Realms. This is my first story that I have published. I welcome any criticism that you have for me. Thank you for reading and I hope you enjoy!
