There was another car accident, but this time it was the man named Jimmy that was involved.
Dean, Sam, and (M/n) approached Cassie as she was talking to the mayor and stayed behind her.
"Close the main road. The only road in and out of town? Accidents do happen Cassie, and that's what they are. Accidents." The Mayor said.
"Did the cops check for additional dinting in Jimmy's car, see if it was pushed?" Dean asked him.
"Who's this?" The Mayor asked the woman.
"Dean and Sam Winchester. Family friends. That's also (M/n), their friend. Guys, this is Mayor Harold Todd."
"There's one set of tire tracks. One. Doesn't point to foul play."
"That large dent in the car says otherwise." (M/n) mumbled, earning a nudge from the younger Winchester and a glare from the mayor.
"Mayor, the police and town officials take their cues from you. If you indifferent about..."
"Indifferent!" He explained.
"Would you close the road if the victims were white?"
"You suggesting I'm racist, Cassie? I'm the last person you should talk to like that."
"And why is that."
"Why don't you ask your mother." He stormed off, leaving the rest in the field.
"Well, he seems like a ray of sunshine."
They all gave the demon a unamused look, making him look off, whistling.

The boys were in the hotel room, putting on suits.
"I'll say this for her, she's fearless." The youngest commented.

"Mm-hmm."
"Bet she kicked your ass a coupla times." Sam grinned.
Dean just glanced at him and went back to fixing his tie.
"What's interesting is you guys never really look at eachother at the same time. You look at her when she's not looking, she checks you out when you look away. It's just...just an interesting observation in a...you know...observationally interesting way."
"You think we might have more pressing issues here?" Dean said, clearly annoyed. (M/n) couldn't blame him. He was getting tired of Sam rambling on about Cassie and Dean's past relationship too.
"Hey, if I'm hitting a nerve."
The older male just turned away, "Lets go."
The Impala cruised down a wet country road, on its way to the docks.
The three walked down a pier. A few people were fishing. They approached two older men having lunch.
"Excuse me. Are you Ron Stubbins?" Sam asked a gentleman gently.
The man named Ron nodded.
"You were friends with Jimmy Anderson?" Dean then asked.
"Who are you?"
"We're Mr. Anderson's insurance company. We're just here to dot 'I's and cross 'T's'." The way the boys lied to people about who they were, just to get information just amazed (M/n).
"We were just wondering, had the deceased mentioned any unusual recent experiences?"
"What do yo mean, unusual?"
"Well...visions...or hallucinations.." (M/n) asked.
"It's part of a medical examination kind of thing. A very standard."
"What company did you say you were with?" The man seemed wary of the three.
"All National Mutual. Tell me, did he ever mention seeing a truck? A big black truck?" ((And might I say, a good looking truck ;P ))
"What the hell you talking about? You even speaking English?"

"This truck, a big scary monster looking thing?" The mans friend said. The boy nodded.
"Hmm."
"What?" Dean looked at the man, curious.
"I have heard of a truck like that."
"You have. Where?"
"Not where. When. Back in the '60s there was a string of deaths. Black men. Story goes, they disappeared in a big, nasty, black truck."
"They ever catch the guy who did it?"
"Never found him. Hell, not sure they even really looked. See there was a time, this town wasn't too friendly to all it's citizens." (M/n) remembered those times.
"Thank you." Sam said, before the three turned around and walked back to the Impala.
"Truck." (M/n) said.
"Keeps coming up, doesn't it?"
"You know, I was thinking. You heard of the flying Dutchman?" Dean asked the two.
"Yeah, a ghost ship, infused with the Captain's evil spirit. It was basically part of him.
Dean nodded. "So what if we're dealing with the same thing? You know, a phantom truck, an extension of some bastards ghost, re-enacting past crimes."
"The victims have all been black men."
"I think it's more then that. They all seem connected to Cassie and her family." Dean explained.
"All right. Well, you work that angle, go talk to her."
"Yeah, I will."
"Oh, and you might also wanna mention that other thing."
"What other thing?"
"The serious, unfinished business?"
Dean remained silent.
"Dean, what is going on between you two?"
"All right, so maybe we were a little bit more involved than I said." Both the two males in front of the Winchester looked at him, waiting for him to continue.
"Ok, a lot more. Maybe. And I told her our secret, about what we do. And I shouldn't have."
"You gotta open up to someone sometime." Sam told his brother.
"Yeah, I don't. It was stupid to get that close. I mean, look how it ended."
Sam just smiled at his older brother.
"Would you stop!"
He just kept smiling.
"Blink or something!"
"You loved her."
"Oh god." Dean went to the Impala.
"You were in love with her, but you dumped her."
Dean stayed silent. He looked at the ground, glanced at Sam and back at the ground.
"Oh wow, she dumped you."
"Get in the car." Dean got in, then yelled at his brother to get in, while the demon followed, staying quiet himself.
~Timeskip~
Dean had left to talk to Cassie, and it drove (M/n) insane. He knew what they were going to do.
He had hated this Cassie since the time Dean told him and Sam about her.
He should tell the brothers the truth, he hadn't done that yet, hadn't told them the complete truth about what he was, his actual name, his past, his nature.
Maybe if he told them, Dean would understand and wanna be with him.
No, that was crazy. Gotta take this slow. He already lost one person he loved, he didn't wanna lose another.
Not from blurting out what he was thinking. What he was. And most of all, blurt out his love for the older Winchester too soon.
If he did, they might kick him to the road, get caught, and get punished. Maybe even worse. Demons were everywhere, they would find him fast. At least with the Winchesters around, he was always moving. Not staying in one place.
Which was a good thing.
Until they find out that (D/n) was with the Winchesters.

Now sold into slavery, the young man must find not only a reason to survive but a purpose to carry him home. The journey has just begun, and the hardest step is always the first one. ~ This is my attempt at both the Xianxia/Wuxia and Portal/Isekai genre of fiction that I love, and the means to provide a story set in such guidelines, while distancing myself from some of the more common tropes. I do hope you enjoy the story I shall endeavor to tell. ~ Average post between 1000 - 3000 words. This is a work in progress, and will be edited and adjusted over time. If you’re interested in something a bit more GameLIT, you might want to check out my second story on Royal Road, “The Dawnfire Archives”. My newest story is a combination of both genres, but with a female main character at the helm. Feel free to check out "The Card Thief of Culnivar"!
