(M/n) stood patiently by the Impala as he waited for the Winchesters to come back.
He was just standing there, looking at the sky, letting his thoughts run free.
Soon he felt a strong presence, something he knew and encountered quite a bit.
He knew something bad was happening in the tent, and all he could do was helplessly stand there, due to it being hallowed ground.
Soon a reaper showed up in front of him.
"(D/n), funny seeing you here." It said to him.
"Y-yeah. Just, you know. Taking a little vacation." He smiled nervous as all hell.
"Funny, cuz I remember hearing you had a little bounty on your head. Would be a shame if the others knew that the great and "mighty" (D/n) was with the Winchesters."
Before (M/n) could protest he was knocked out.
~Hospital~
"So, you really feel okay?"
"I feel fine, Sam."
"For someone who was nearly dead, you don't look to happy to be alive." The demon grinned at the man, earning a glare.
The doctor soon came in, reading his paperwork, "Well, according to all your tests, there's nothing wrong with your heart. No sign there ever was. Not that a man your age should be having heart trouble, but, still it's strange it does happen."
"What do you mean, strange?" Now that caught Deans attention.
"Well, just yesterday, a young guy like you, twenty-seven, athletic, out of nowhere had a heart attack."
"Thanks, doc."
"No, problem." And the doctor left.
"That's odd." (M/n) nodded in agreement.
"Maybe its a coincidence. People's hearts give out all the time."
"No, they don't." Sam looked at the slightly younger male, and knew he was right deep down.

"Look, do we really have to look this one in the mouth? Why can't we just be thankful that guy saved your life and move on?"
"Because, I can't this feeling, that's why."
"What feeling?"
"When I was healed, I just...I felt wrong. I felt cold. And for a second...I saw someone. This, this old man. And I'm telling you, Sam, it was a spirit."
(M/n)'s mind started to wonder off, wondering if he should tell them or not. Probably would have been a good thing to do, but he decided not too.
"Hey, (M/n), you all there?" Dean waved his hand infront of his face. Making him look up.
"Yeah?"
"Would you like to stay with Sam to find more out about the guy that had a heart attack? Since you cant, really go on holy ground."
"Yeah, sounds good." And he gave a quick smile before they went on their way.
((I gotta clean my rats and pack for going to a friends house, I'm also waiting for clothes to be washed cuz I have almost nothing to wear, and I decided to finish writing this part because why not))
While Dean went back to Roy's house, (M/n) and Sam went to find more out about the man that died.
"I'm telling you, he seemed healthy. Swam everyday, didn't smoke. So a heart attack just kinda seemed, well, bizarre." An employee said, leading both to the swimming locker room.
"And you said he was running, right before he collapsed?" Sam asked.
"Yeah, yeah, he was freaking out. He said that something was, uh, was after him."
"Did he say what?" (M/n) asked.
"Well, thin air was what. I mean, it wasn't anything."
"Alright, thanks."
Sam was about to leave when he noticed that a clock on the wall wasn't working. "Hey, buddy? Your clock's busted."

"Oh, yeah, we can't get it workin'. Just froze at 4:17."
"Is that the time Marshall died?"
The man looked surprised. "How'd you know?"
"Lucky guess." (M/n) grabbed Sam's arm and drug him out of the place.
"Hey, hey, hey. Easy (M/n). Why are you in a rush?"
"I know what we're dealing with Sam. I saw him before he knocked me out."
Sam looked at the demon weirdly.
With a huge sigh, "Demons are able to see other supernatural beings like hellhounds and reapers, and in this situation, we're dealing with a reaper."
~Time skip to the motel~
Dean walked in, throwing his keys on the bed, and started too take off his jacket. Sam was on his laptop and (M/n) was sitting in a chair, fiddling with his thumbs.
"You two find anything?"
"I'm sorry." The younger Winchester spoke quietly.
"Sorry about what?"
"Marshall Hall died at 4:17."
Dean looked stunned. "The exact time I was healed."
"Yeah. So, I put together a list of everyone Roy's healed, six people over the past year, and I cross-checked them with the local obits. Every time someone is healed, someone else died. And each time, the victim died of the same symptom LeGrange was healing at the time."
"Someone's healed of cancer, someone else dies of cancer?"
"He trades a life for another." The demon spoke lowly.
"Wait, wait, wait. So Marshall Hall died to save me?"
Sam clearly looked upset, "Dean, the guy probably would have died anyway. And someone else would've been healed."
"You should have never brought me here."
"Dean, I was trying to save your life."
"I didn't know."
There was a long pause between the two.
"The thing I don't understand is how Roy's doing it."
"He's not doing it." Both of the Winchesters looked at the boy in the chair. Dean understood, but Sam didn't.
"What do you mean?"
"I saw an old man get healed." The older Winchester said. "We're dealing with a reaper, aren't we, (M/n)?" He nodded.
"What I don't understand is, are we dealing with THE reaper? You know, angel of death?"
"No. Its not him, if it was, I would be dead...Its a reaper, there's a reaper law in pretty much every culture. 100 different names and theres a bunch of them. And with the clock, they stop time. Also, the only one who can see it is the one it's after. Which is why Sam nor the worker saw it."
"Man, you know a lot about reapers." Dean smiled.
"I think you forgot that I'm a demon." (M/n) smiled back.
"So the only thing is, how is Roy controlling it?"
"There was a cross I saw in the church." Sam said.
"What?"
"There was a cross, I noticed it in the church and I knew I had seen it before." He looked through some papers and handed his brother a card, Dean took it and looked at it.
"A tarot?"
"It makes sense,"
"A tarot dates back to the early Christian era, when priests were still magic. And a few of them veered into the dark stuff. Neromancy and how to push death away." The demon informed them.
"So Roy's using black magic to bind a reaper?"
"Has it on a damn leash."
"Alright, so we stop him."
"How?" The youngest asked.
"You know how."
"Wait, we're not going to kill Roy."
"Sam, the guys playing God, he's deciding who lives and who dies. That's a monster in my book."
"We're not going to kill a human being. We're better then that."
"Alright, so how do you suppose we stop him college boy?"
"Ok, if Roy's using some kind of black magic on the reaper, we gotta...figure out what is it and break it."
(M/n) got up. "Sounds good to me."

Shades of the Moon
I'm rewriting this story! I have taken down Arc 2 and Arc 3 already to avoid spoiling my new novel. The only reason I'm keeping the first 10 chapters is nostalgia; the writing is awkward and the story is not plotted out properly, but it's here if anyone wants to compare it to the new one. If you'd like to read a more professionally written version of this story, I highly suggest checking out my Synergy. Synopsis version too-many-to-count: “I see,” Kiona said. “But . . . you’re changing once again, aren’t you?” The entity considered her question, lifting a clawed hand towards the night sky. They observed the back of their hand idly, watching the glowing orange veins pulse alongside their pitch-black exoskeleton. The wind picked up right then, and Kiona shivered—just as much from the cold as from the savage grin on the creature's face. “That’s right,” the entity said, clenching their hand slowly into a fist. They let out a quiet laugh, staring defiantly at the Moon as it rose from behind the clouds. “We are shades, yet not exactly. Not like the others. Here, in this world, we've become something more. We are the Shades of the Moon.” There was a heartbeat of silence, during which Kiona joined the entity in their skygazing. The light-green Moon loomed over the city, shining like the entity's eyes. It promised otherworldly knowledge and terrible secrets. It promised progress. It promised change. In that moment, Kiona couldn't have imagined anything more beautiful. “Shades of the Moon, huh?” she said, smiling a bit. It had a nice ring to it.
