Rexy stares at Blue then to me, I walked out from my safe spot and approached her.

"(Y/n)!" Dad hissed, trying to stop me but I didn't listen. I slowly moved my hand and touched her nose.

"You did well Rexy, I'm so proud of you" I smiled, then started crying as this would be the last time I see her again. "I'll miss you baby" I said through heavy tears. She nudged her head into my touch as if saying she'll miss me too and left. I then turned to Blue and smiled, approaching cautiously and held my hand out, moving in slowly and touching her head as well. "You did amazing too sweetheart. I'll miss you more, I'm sorry about Delta, Charlie and Echo" I sighed, my tears still falling rapidly. She melted into my touch and made an affectionate noise. "This reminds me of when we first me" I giggled, Blue gave off a noise which sounded like a laugh and turned to my dad as he came over, patting her too. I stepped back and gave them their time. (I know that's not what happened in the movie but it broke my heart he didn't say goodbye). As soon as I stepped away I saw Zach run up and hug me tight.

"Oh my god your okay, your crazy you know that? I thought you were going to die, I thought-" I cut him off by kissing his lips. It was an act of adrenaline and as soon as it happened I pulled back, embarrassed.

"Sorry I got caught up in-" he didn't let me finish as his lips crashed back onto mine again, lasting longer this time. We broke apart when I heard my dad clearing his throat, the two of us blushing like crazy.

"Yay I'm going to have a sister!" Gray yelled excitedly, running up and hugging me tight. "That was AWESOME. YOU REALLY DO HAVE A BOND WITH THE DINOSAURS, YOUR SO COOOOL" Gray yelled, his little body pumping with excitement, causing Claire, dad, Zach and I to laugh. "Wait until I tell people at school my brothers girlfriend is a badass dinosaur whisperer" I snorted.

"Thanks kiddo, that means a lot" I smiled and kissed his head. "And if you have any troubles with bullies call me up and I'll kick their butts" I whispered in his ear making him nod and laugh. He then let go and I made my way over to dad, who had just sent Blue off.

"Hey it's alright sweetheart, they'll be safe" he assured as realisation hit again and I started crying.

"I- I know but I-I g-rew up w-ith the-m" I said, my tears gushing down. He sighed and shhhh'ed me, kissing my head.

"I know kid, I know it's hard but just remember that they'll be fine. Now they have the whole island to themselves" I pulled away and nodded I agreement.

"Yo-ur righ-t" I sniffled, wiping my tears away. He smiled and kissed my forehead.

"Sooo Zach huh?" He smirked, wriggling his eyebrows making my blush crimson. "Knew it" he said fist bumping the air. "Knew it from the start" he said triumphantly as we made our way over to the others.

"Shut up" I mumbled. He laughed and Claire slapped his arm, looking at me.

"Ignore him" she smiled and I nodded, hugging her.

"Told you I'd be fine" I smirked and she laughed, nodding in agreement.

"Your an amazing kid (Y/n), I don't know if I ever told you that" she smiled and I let a tear slip, hugging her tighter.

"Thank you" I whispered ingratitude before breaking off and wiping my tears. "We should head off the the medical area" I stated and started walking, all of us in a group. I then felt warmth in my hand and smiled, looking at Zach.

"Where are you going to live now?" He asked concerned.

"Oh I know you can stay with us" Gray said excited making me laugh a little.

"I don't know but we'll figure it out, right Dad?" I said looking over my shoulder at him.

"Yeah kid, we'll be fine" I nodded and sighed.

I sat with Claire and the boys, leaning into Zach's touch as he played with my hair, Gray fast asleep in Claire's lap. I looked up and saw a couple that resembled the pair, I nudged Zach and nodded in their direction, assuming they were his parents. He kissed my forehead and stood up, Claire noticed and woke Gray up, they both ran at them, Gray hugging his mum while Zach hugged his dad. I stood next to Claire and smiled watching the boys embrace their family. The mother then came over and embraced Claire, crying her eyes out. I stood back a bit and gave them space. The woman then turned to me and smiled, her blue eyes glazed with tears.

"Who are you?" She asked sweetly, swallowing back tears. I smiled and held my hand out but before I could say anything Gray spoke up.

"She's the coolest person ever! She can talk with dinosaurs!" He said enthusiastically like always making my heart melt at his sweet words and smile.

"And my girlfriend" Zach said, breaking away from his dad and coming over to hold my hand. I looked at the parents and smiled.

"My names (Y/n) Grady" I said holding my hand out again but she pulled me in for a hug.

"Karen. Thank you for protecting my babies" she said, her tears releasing again.

"Its been an honour to have met them" I smiled. "They are sweet" I said.

"Zach? Sweet? What did you do to him?" His dad asked sarcastically making me laugh.

"She showed me what it's like to truly care for someone" Zach said, hugging me from behind. His words made my eyes widen and cheeks blush a dark crimson.

"Wow I never thought I'd here Zach say something like that. Thank you for changing him" Karen said.

"It was my pleasure" I smiled. Gray came over and hugged me tight.

"Thank you for saving us (Y/n)" I ruffled his hair and smirked.

"Someone has to save your little butt" he laughed and nodded.

"So you lived on the island?" Zach's Dad asked. I nodded and looked over at my dad.

"Yeah dad and I lived near the Raptor enclosure since that's where we spent most of our time" I informed, sighing at the thought of not having a home.

"About that (Y/n)" Claire spoke up, getting my attention. "You, Owen and I are going to live in a house I own" she said. I smiled widely knowing we have somewhere to live, as a family. I walked over and hugged her tight.

"Thank you" I smiled, her returning the gesture.

"Of course, you know I see you as a daughter" I nodded at her response. I then sighed and looked at Zach.

"It's okay, we'll see each other again, I promise" he said as if reading my thoughts.

"You'll also he happy to know the house is a street away from Zach's" Claire informed making my excitement peak as I ran up and tackled Zach into a hug. I then saw dad watching so I nudged Claire and nodded in his direction.

"Go get some" I whispered, she blush a little which made me laugh. I watched her and dad kiss and walk out of the shelter smiling. I heard Rexy roar in the distance and smiled, leaving one thought in my head.

"I finally have a full, complete, happy family" I smiled inwardly. "Who know that such a tragedy would bring such happiness" I then thought about Rexy and Blue. "I hope you all have an amazing life, I love you and will never forget about our special connection"
