《The Betrayed Pilot (Titanfall x RWBY)》Chapter 16

"Darkness, imprisoning me, all that i see, absolute horror..."I shot out of my seat and i almost fall out of Lilith because of it, but then i realize what happened when i heard Lilith's mechanical like laughter
"Really?! you are going to fucking wake me up with Metalica?" I slam my fist into the roof of her chassis, but i still heard her laughing. I forgot that over the years she learned to do that, i rolled my eyes as i turned off the 'alarm' and got out of her.
"So you find you anything while i was sleeping Lilith?" She stood up from the siting position she was in as she got her weapon out.
"Through checking some of the recordings of yesterday i discovered that there was several hidden cameras in the rubble of the city. While i can't pinpoint where they came from, i was able to narrow it down to a few locations judging by their locations." I stretch out a bit from sleeping in the chair, i always felt stiff as a board every time i slept inside of Lilith.
After i finish stretching i turn towards Lilith and give her a thumbs up, "Good job, that makes our lives easier, I'm going to send a message to Ozpin to send the reinforcements to this location, but while we wait for them, let's go scout some of these locations." Lilith simply nods at me as she opens her hatch and i jump right in.
"Alright Lilith, let's move out to the locations you marked."
----------------------
I was currently managing the white fang grunts to move everything onto the train, but i notice a grunt running up to me in a panic, it was the same one from last time.
"Sir, bad news." He showed me the tablet which showed our cameras and it showed that 'paladin' from last time, and it was getting closer to the entrance to the tunnels. I started biting into my cigar as i started to get frustrated that it would find us so quickly, but it was fine, we still have more fire power then that one machine can handle.
"Sir what should we do." I narrowed my eyes at the grunt for his naivety, "Well, get our pilots off of their useless asses and get them into their machines, if this 'paladin' wants to fight, we will give them a fight they will regret." I waved the recruit away as i took a puff of my cigar.
Everything was going according to plan.
-----------------------
"Lilith, are you sure that this is the location of the White Fang base?" I ask Lilith as we searched the last possible location of the White Fang base, but it was nothing more then an old decaying street.

"My calculations led me to believe this would be the most likeliest location for them to be at, i am sorry that i have guided us incorrectly Sarah." I couldn't help but let out a small sigh as i lightly patted Lilith's chassis.
"It's alright Lilith, we got time till we actually get reinforcements, we are just scouting after all, so don't worry about it." Lilith didn't say anything as i continued to guide her through the streets.
I continued to walk Lilith through the streets as i scanned through the buildings for anything, that wasn't just rubble and dust. But then i began to start hearing growling, i turned around and found an Ursa major, i quickly act and dash back away from it as i started up the XO-16 and started to shred through it's armor. But before it fell it managed to slam the ground in front of me cracking the street below us.
"Glad i didn't get hit by that" it then started to dissipate into the air. I then started to walk towards the next mark location, but then a strange cracking noise happened and i stopped moving as i looked everywhere around me.
"I'm taking over for now Pilot." I then noticed that Lilith forcibly took control from me, and started to sprint away from our current location, but the noise i heard before got even louder, and i realized that the noise was actually the road cracking. I tried to buck myself inside but then i felt us dip and it appeared that we were falling down to the tunnel system below the city.
"Hold on pilot" i held on as tightly as i could as we were free falling, but i notice that i wasn't strapped in properly and i couldn't do fix it because we already about to hit the ground. I braced myself for impact and i felt the force almost threw me out of my seat and i felt my head bounce forward and i hit the front of the display screen. I tried to move my hand to see if i could check for any injuries, but my arm wasn't moving, i move my eyes down and i tried to look for anything wrong, but my vision began to blur in and out of focus.
"l-lithh" i tried to speak but my words came out slurred as i felt my vision start to grow darker. I forced my eyes open as i tried to stay awake,
"Pilot, save your energy, you've sustained damage to your frontal lobe from the fall, symptoms include slight paralysis in parts of the body, trouble with speech, impaired thinking, and blurred vision.Your suit will heal the damage in time, for now just trust me, i will get us out of here." I trusted Lilith's words and i just lean back in my chair as my vision grew even darker, and i had an overwhelming urge to sleep, but i continue to fight it back.

"Well, i wasn't expecting this, but this works out perfectly" I didn't know this voice, and Lilith turned toward the voice, and i saw Roman Torchwick out side of a Paladin, as well as several rows of Paladins behind him. I tried to move forward, but my arm wouldn't respond to my commands. I just helplessly sit back as i couldn't do anything.
"Pilot, you made a mistake coming here, and i will show you why." He then made a gesture as all of the Paladins locked onto us, Lilith took action immediately as she dashed to the side narrowly dodging their gun fire.
I heard the stomping of the Paladins feet as the chased after us, but Lilith waited at a corner as she waited for a Paladin to show up, she fired her Energy Siphon stunning the first Paladin as she fired the XO-16 into the Paladin, quickly disabling it. But several more shows up behind the fallen Paladin, she then sprints into a tunnel nearby and tries to gain distance away from them.
I try to focus on what was going on, but my vision continues to fade in and out. I tried my best to not pass out, but soon everything went dark and i fell asleep as i waited for my suit to finish healing my head.
-----------------------
My scans showed that Sarah passed out, i wanted to do a full scan to make sure that she was not in harm, but i had to worry about the enemy pilots first. I quickly turn around as i fired a Rocket Salvo into the group that was pursuing us, which managed to take down two Paladins, but even more takes their place.
I dash away from them and i continue running until the tunnel i was in lead into a wide opening, my sensors scanned the area, and i quickly identified several more Paladins on their way from several locations, but i notice an area without and Paladins reinforcements. I quickly dash again towards the only location that they weren't at. Before i disappear into the tunnel that i deemed safe, i used my Energy Siphon to recharge my shields on a Paladin behind me, and i tried to destroy the Paladin, but it was quickly covered up by the swarm of enemies Paladins.
I ignore the target and continue to run into the tunnel, but my scans quickly indicated that this lead into a dead end, i now only had one choice left: continue fighting until all targets are neutralized. I turn around towards the incoming enemies as i turned on my first core.
"Arc Rounds Active" I reload the XO-16, and i prepare the Energy Siphon as i waited for the first Paladin to come into range. When the first one did i quickly disabled it then neutralized it with the Arc Rounds, but then 5 more Paladins came through and i continue to fire at them as i destroyed one after the other, but more take their place as they quickly pushed me closer towards the dead end.
I then activated my second core, "Maelestrom Active" I then activated the enhanced Electric Smoke as i dashed away and fired into the smoke, hoping that i at least did damage to some of them. As soon as i walked away from the smoke, my sensors showed that I've arrived at the dead end.
I quickly rearmed as i prepare for the oncoming forces, i will protect Sarah.
I prepare the XO-16 and aim towards the dissipating smoke, i then scan a large amount of Paladins closing in on my position, i proceeded to hold down the trigger and didn't let go until i ran out of bullets, i didn't have enough time to reload so i quickly charge an Energy Siphon into an oncoming Paladin disabling it for now, as i turned to fire another silo of Rocket Salvo into another group that just arrived.
I was then pushed off balance as i dashed away and my scan showed a Paladin that punched me in the back, i quickly jump at them and punched them in the front quickly crushing the cabin of the Paladin. I turn around to see that i was getting fired at by several of the machine guns of the Paladins, i used my arm to cover where Sarah was as i dashed towards them sweeping my legs knocking a few of them to the ground, but then i see a fist hit me in the head.
I push myself up as i dash back as i Rearm and i see several more Paladins come in through the tunnel, I reload my XO-16 as they slowly got closer to me. I promised to Sarah that i would protect her, no matter what. I aimed at the oncoming wave as i activated my final Upgrade core.
"Superior Chassis, Active." I promise you Sarah, i will protect you with my life, you can Trust me on that. I then continue to fight the onslaught of Paladins...

How to Save a Star [BxB]
“Do you know that stars die?” I asked, breaking the silence. I didn't know where the question came from, but that's the only thing that came to mind. “Yeah,” he answered. “And some stars we see in the sky may be already dead.
