When one is falling apart

The heart couldn't speak

The emotions overwhelmed
Of a darkening soul
There are times
When one breaks down
They think they're weak
While their tears fall down
Small things hurt
A heart left shattered
One couldn't hold back
The words unheard
Our voice is lost
When our tears spoke for us
Our choice is gone
When we're unheard
Yet we must realize
Either to sink forever in this ocean
Or to rise above the storm
Even though we have to face the storm inside us
Silence speaks more than one could say
It comforts us in the most soothing way
While hiding one's pain in its own silent way
Drowning in the ocean of darkness
I stared at the light
Hoping to reach out
Even though I could just fake a smile
How could one escape?
From one's darker side?
How could one be awake?
In the most painful darkest of times?
Unable to speak
Unable to be heard
While our eyes cry
And our soul hurts
Waking up from Darkness
Is like reaching out to light
While our voices echo
Inside my mind
The pain is unbearable
It chokes me inside
The storm of emotions is overpowering
Yet I try
One couldn't let their emotions completely flow
One couldn't let their emotions get a better hold
I embraced the light as I rose
"Hello again" I said composed
My awakening from the slumber of darkness is best left unheard
For now I could smile again, breathe again
I could laugh heartily
While darkness fade away
As I act smartly
Waking up is like a blessing
The slumber was like a painful cursing
Yet, both are important
The slumber and the Awakening
The darkness will linger around, I know it
But the light will always stay, I feel it
They both are needed by me
I understand it
Our smiles hides the pain inside us
Our strength hides the weakness that's a part of us
Our calm hides the storm that emerges
That's the awakening from the slumber
That's 'waking up' from the slumber of Darkness.
