《KristSingto One Shots》Hospital Days

Arthit and a few other employees from Ocean Electrics went with K'Danai to their new branch in Chiang Mai to see how their new branch was and they were supposed to stay for 3 weeks and it's only been 1. To say he misses Kong is an understatement, he's been going crazy the passed few days. It was hard having to do everything alone: eat, sleep, wake up, work and so much more. Arthit just got used to Kong's presence in his life everyday that doing everything alone just overwhelms him. He never thought he'd say this before but for the first time in his life he was so desperate for the latter's warmth that he was willing to do anything to see him.
"So to say this in the most simple way possible, the Chiang Mai branch is doing quite well for a baby company." Nom-Ocean Electrics Chiang Mai branch's CFO says as he concludes his presentation. "Thank you K'Nom for enlightening us with our branch's current situation. But I have further questions" K'Danai says before going on and asking his questions. After a while Arthit's phone vibrated, he fishes it out of his pocket and excuses himself from the meeting room, answering the call as he exits. It was surprisingly from Aim.
: P'Arthit are you busy?; I'm in the middle of a meeting right now Aim, what is it? If this is another dare from Kong I will strangle him: No phi. It is about Kong but not that; Just tell me what's up. I have a meeting to attend to right now: Kong's in the hospital right now; WHAT?!
Arthit's heart raced as his phone vibrated, signalling a message from Aim. His worry skyrockets as he knows from personal experience that Kong is definitely not able to take care of himself.
"Shit" he swears.
; Since when was he hospitalized?: Just now actually. The doctor said-No! Kong wait! : P'Arthit whatever Aim said it's not true, he's lying! I- Aim give that back!; What was the diagnosis? : I'll let Kong tell you phi.....Uh, hi P'Arthit"; Don't "uh, hi P'Arthit" me. What is going on?: Just a little viral gastroenteritis and acute insomnia. ; A little? Kong, stomach flu and insomnia of any kind-especially with you-is no little sickness: I know phi, I'm sorry; Do you have any idea how hard it is for me to hear this? I am approximately 600 kilometers away from you Kong. Do you know how bad that is for my sanity?: Calm down phi. Please. Stress isn't good for you; This isn't about me. This isn't the first time this happened Kong, how hard is it to cook your own food? I've told you how unhealthy take-out and fast food are. And insomnia? You definitely haven't been taking care of yourself. : Phi listen, I-; We'll talk about this later. Rest for now, and I mean it.

As Arthit ends the call, he re-enters the meeting room, slowly walking over to K'Danai. "Khun, I'm so sorry but I have to go back home because of an....err, family emergency"He says and Danai nodds. "Sure I'll cover for you, but I need you back the day after tomorrow, "Danai says, being the super understanding boss he is. Arthit thanks his boss as he grabs his office bag and exiting the company building as he gets inside the taxi, buying a plane ticket to the last flight back to Bangkok. He knows he's being a little reckless and he is probably acting out of impulse, but that's the last of his worries as he runs out of the taxi and bolts inside the airport. Thankfully enough he was right on time and the last boarding call was made. Arthit rushes up the escalator and once again thankfully enters the airplane on time.
"Never would I have thought that in the first 7 in the 21 days of me staying in Chiang Mai I would go home early...in this type of situation"Arthit tells himself as he forces himself to sleep through the rest of the 1 hour and 5-minute flight. Even though he's mad at Kong, some part of him feels like it's partly his fault. Arthit spoils the kid too much to the point that being away from him for a week, the latter ends up at the hospital. ' Sometimes I wonder why I'm in love with this idiot.' Arthit thinks to himself. Hey, Kong might be an idiot, but he's Arthit's idiot.
//
"Fuck you Aim. Curse you. I fucking hate you"Kong has been cursing his bestfriend for the last 10 minutes he's been awake after his 1 hour sleep. Aim runs to the hospital to look after his bestfriend the moment he was told that Kong was just hospitalized. "Seriously Kong, calm down. I'm sure P'Arthit understands"Emma-Aim's doctor cousin- tells him, trying to comfort her obviously worried patient. "With all due respect doctor Emma, I can't fucking calm down. I am fearing for my life right now"Kong says, placing a hand on his chest as he starts to have difficulty breathing. "Shit he's hyperventilating, Aim get me a paper bag"Emma orders, Aim gives his cousin the paper bag he's found. "Breathe through pursed lips Kong. Slowly, breathe into the paper bag" Emma instructs, and Kong does as told. "Attempt to breathe into your belly rather than your chest. Okay? Hold your breath for 10 to 15 seconds at a time. Relax"She adds. Later on as Kong calms down, his breathing finally comes back to normal.
Then, the hospital ward door opens, revealing one of Emma's nurses. "Doctor Suwanamas, someone is looking for you outside"She says, Emma nodds as she fixes her scrubs properly before getting up and following her nurse out of the ward. "Aim, you're coming with me"She says and Aim obviously followed her out.Kong lays back down on his bed and closes his eyes in frustration. A few minutes later, Kong hears the door open. He sits up and opes his eyes to see Arthit walking towards him with a frown.

"What have I told you about taking care of yourself especially when I'm far away from you?" He says, sitting on the edge of the bed, crossing his arms across his chest. "Phi...why are you here?"Kong asks then he realizes the situation , Arthit had traveled all the way from Chiang Mai to Bangkok because of him. "Oh my gosh, I am so sorry phi. I swear I'm fine, you need to go back to work. Emma's my doctor and she's Aim's cousin so I can assure you she'll take care of my well. Phi your job is more important-"Kong starts rambling as Arthit places a finger on his mouth to shut him up. "Nothing, and I mean nothing, is more important to me than you. Understand? Nothing" Arthit says and Kong's heart literally combusts.
"Now tell me what's been going on recently that led to your acute insomnia. I promise I won't scold you"Arthit says and Kong sighs."I've just been having difficulty sleeping these days, it's nothing phi"He says, but knowing Arthit, the latter was far from satisfied with his answer. "Kong, you do know that common causes of insomnia include stress, an irregular sleep schedule, poor sleeping habits, mental health disorders like anxiety and depression, physical illnesses and pain, medications, neurological problems, and specific sleep disorders right? So you cant tell me it's nothing." Arthit says and Kong sighs, sitting up from his position as he looks at the former deeply.
"Okay fine, as a graduating student I know that everything is obviously gonna be even more stressful than on normal days. So we have this group project to take care of, but all of a sudden the 5-member group project turned into a one-man job. Halfway into the project they throw their responsibilities at me saying "You're smart, you can handle this better" and shit. Since we only have a week left I didn't bother wasting time arguing and worked on this project over-night along with other activities to make sure I can finish them on time.
I've already finished the project and sent it to our teachers but I didn't include their names in it, like hell I would do that. They found out that they had no grades and have been harassing me about it recently. I'm just....so tired phi. I know I'm smart and am capable of completing the activities but I can only do so much without breaking down. It's stupid, I know"
Kong finally lets out his inner sufferings as he huffs, he never knew letting out how you feel was so tiring. Arthit's heart softens and he sighs, pulling his lover in for a hug, immediately feeling his shoulder getting wet. "Sssh, calm down, it's not stupid. We've talked about this before right?"Arthit says, breaking the hug but keeping his hands on Kong's shoulders. "Yes your smart and yes you're capable, what you're not is a robot. This has been happening for 4 years already Kong, I've told you to set the bounderies. People take advantage of your kindness. I know you want to help but sometimes the best way to help someone is to say "No", because that way when you graduate you obviously go your own ways and they don't have you to shoulder the load for them they can handle it"He says, wiping Kong's tears with his thumb. "I didn't want to make it a big deal by arguing. I told them I could help with their individual work because I just wanted to help, not shoulder everything"Kong sighs, frowning at his own actions.
"I know, I know. That's one of the reasons why I fell for you. the fact that you're always willing to help without expecting anything in return. That's one of your strong points, but that's also one of your weaknesses. Learn to say No sometimes, okay?."Arthit says, carressing his boyfriend's face with his hand."How about you get some rest, hmm?"Arthit says, helping Kong settle comfortably on the bed. "Stay?"The latter says, causing the former to chuckle as he ruffles the latter's hair. "Of course baby, I'm not going anywhere"The older says, causing the younger to smile as he takes Arthit's hand in his before drifting to sleep-which didn't take so long. Arthit fishes for his phone in his pocket and messages Aim to send him the names of Kong's group members and their numbers, after recieving them he sends each of them a message.
" This is Arthit Rojnapat, ex-head hazer of your faculty. I recieved news that you were giving one of your classmates who happens to be your head hazer-namely Khongpob Sutthiluk- a hard time. And because of that he's currently in the hospital, obviously sick. You either stop what you've been doing to him and apologize or I'm going to make you wish you did.....Have a nice day : ) "
~.~.~.~.~.
This is short, sorry. My mental health has been absolute bonkers lately. I'm going to go on a short-term hiatus for a while. I hope all of you are faring better than I am

The Loyal Ones [Dark Biopunk Fantasy]
TLDR; A slave monster survives horror, war and servitude, while trying to live with himself. Thralls are a race of monstrous slave soldiers, in a universe where biological magic takes the place of technology. Centuries ago, their ancestors were desperate humans, who volunteered to be transformed for the Poison War. Today their unfortunate descendants are still soldiers and laborers. In contract law they are 'corporate wards'; slaves owned largely by arms dealers. Dally Harper starts this story as a champion cage fighter. He is one of the 'lucky' ones. It's all downhill from there. Content Warning: Explicit violence and gore, slavery, implied sexual assault. None of these are framed as positive or glorified, however they do have a strong impact on the plot and main characters.
