- It's the middle of the year, Amber and Jessica have started a great friendship as they share the same love for so many things together, however they do get mischievous and they start ditching so many classes together especially Math and Science, and they do start smoking while at it and they get caught by their school HR but they don't get into much trouble as it's the first time they've done anything wrong, they just get detention which they both don't attend but also get the attendance register forcing them to actually go to class and participate in class too.

Amber then finds love at school with Dwayne, but they fall out really quickly because Amber prefers the guys with a very strong personality. But soon enough she does find love again with one of Jessica's friends. This time it does start to last for a few months but this is one toxic relationship as his such a cheater so once again this one falls out again,just in time for school holidays. During this time Amber attends her Uncles Funeral in Soweto and while she's there she meets a guy Tom who seems to sweep her off of her feet once again. " Hey can I get your number so we can talk?" Amber is so in her feels but plays a little hard to get, "Uhm how about I think about it first." Amber says back. "I'm Tom by the way and I live same street here." "Nice to meet you." Amber says while trying to hide herself blushing.

The following day she eventually gives in and gives Tom her number but she doesn't really have much time because after the funeral she has to leave and head home. "Thanks, uhm I guess we'll call and text, maybe you can come back and visit so we can spend some time together?" Tom shyly asks. Amber giggles a bit, "Sure Tom I'll make a plan." But she knows deep down that she might never get to come back there and it's impossible for them to even hang out together but she was determined to make things work. So she leaves Soweto and heads back home.

"I really don't know why I keep bothering with love really because wow nothing ever works out for me, and I really wanted to put myself out there this year." says Amber telling Jessica as they meet up for first class. "Don't be so hard on yourself babe, plus there's one guy that I think will treat you better and his really interestes in you. His in college and his really sweet so how about after-school you meet up?" Amber thinks really hard and long about this, and she finally agrees. Afterschool finally comes after a dreadful day and Amber asks her friends, Samantha, Prudence and Kate to accompany her there. They finally get to the town library," I hope this is a really cute guy we've come for here." Amber says. After 30 minutes of waiting finally they get a call to come to the East side, and there stand two hot guys. Ronny and Amber really fall hard for each other whilst Kate and Kenny fall for each other too. Two friends dating two friends.

Meanwhile Amber still had Tom and they continued talking and making plans to meet up, her very first long distance relationship.
