《Hide and Seek》Game Over

Hawaii ran back inside, feeling bad as she zoomed into the kitchen and opened the freezer. Alaska popped his head out, greeting her with a satisfied smile.
"I thought you went outside." He said, standing to his full height, towering over her.
"I did!" She said, frowning. "I do get distracted easily."
Alaska shrugged. "It doesn't matter, right? You found me." He took her small hand in his. "Let's go find the others." Hawaii grinned up at him.
They found the others rather easily (in under two hours), none of them really hiding in hard to reach places. Texas had to huddle in a mini broom closet for a while, so he was the only one Hawaii was sorry for.
"Alright I think that's everybody." Georgia said after he counted through twice. Once Arizona got stuck in a kitchen cabinet and no one had noticed until later that night, when Massachusetts went to go get some chips. Ari held his 5-hour score with pride though, and dared anyone to try and break it.
"We should do this hide and seek thing more often." Florida remarked, mouth full of Lucky Charms. "It was kinda nice to do something."
"It kinda was." Texas agreed, popping his back as he twisted around.
"Ya!"
"Your a great counter Hawaii."
Hawaii looked down. "I still forgot, though."
"Aye don't beat 'urself up aboit 'et." New York said, rustling her hair up. "Practice makes poifect."
"Plus you did waaaaay better 'en last time." Oklahoma smiled.
Hawaii looked up. "Really?"
"Ya!"
"Definoit'ly."
Just then they heard the door click open, and a whole bunch of heads shot up.
"Dad!"
"Pop!"
"Shizhé'é!"
"Daddy!"
"Padre!"
"Hey kids!"

America was wearing a crisp white button-up shirt with his sleeves rolled up. He carried a brief case in one hand and his suit coat in the other. His tie was loose and his hair pushed back. America's face lit up when he saw the swarm of kids moving towards him.
They all tackled him to the ground, ending up in a massive giggling dog pile at the base of the front door.
Their dad's smile faltered as he scanned over the crowd. "Where's Cali?"
"Up brooding in her room like usual." Wisconsin grumbled.
"Hey." America said, stretching his arm over the sea of children to ruffle 'Consin's hair. "Be nice now. She's going through a lot."
"Oh ya." A deep, rumbily, heavily southern accented voice grunted. "Like she's a real peach when things are normal."
Dixie stood in the doorway, confederate flag face and all, groceries on his arms. "Now shove over. I have frozens."
He tried to get past, but was swallowed up in the ocean of southern states that jumped on top of him. With an "AcK-" he toppled over, Wal-Mart bags going with him.
Dixie let out a groan as he received numerous hugs and "Uncle Dixie!"'s from the states. He tried to wiggle free, but the kids held firm, and so did 'Murica.
"I'm gonna kill y'all if the biscuits are squished."
Everyone laughed, and eventually Dixie joined in.
