Fight for power
Fight for yourself-Author
Today is...my father's funeral. No one is going to be there except the Cullens and me. The Cullens paid for everything just to make my father's funeral and I told them that they didn't have too, but they still insisted. I wore a black short dress and black strapped heels that Alice let me borrow. I looked at myself for a bit debating if I should wear makeup, but I voted against it and just curled my hair.
After finishing, I got out of my room as Jasper and Edward did the same wearing black suits. They looks at me with a sad smile and Jasper held his arm out for me to take. I gave him a slight smile before hooking my arm underneath his as Edward glares at Jasper before doing the same.
I gave him a thankful smile as I did the same and the three of us walked downstairs where the Cullens are standing waiting for us in the living room. Esme and Carlisle turns as they walked up to me as Esme gave me a hug making me let go of the boys' arms and hug her back. She lets me go as Carlisle did the same which I returned too before we both let go of each other.
"Thank you so much for doing this." I whispered as I felt tears began to blur my eyes. Carlisle wipes them away giving me a sad smile.
"You are welcome, my dear. We will help you in anyway." Carlisle tells me and I smiled again. They walked off as Alice came up to me giving a sad smile before Rosalie and Emmett do the same. After a few minutes of staying in the house, we all went to the cemetery and sat down on chairs.

A priest came and began praying as we all stayed quiet and listened at the priest. After his says, he then told me to go up to the podium as I did so. I stood at the podium as a lump on my throat appeared causing for me to swallow hard.
"My dad, Samuel Williams is a good man. He loved me and my mother so much. He would do anything just to make us happy and alive. My dad is the best. When my mother died, he fell into a deep depression like me, but stayed strong just to take care of me. I...I shut him and everyone out. I regret the day...that I wish to not go home and stay with him. I regret shutting the only family I have left. I know that...that he will never see me be successful for him and mom." I sobbed not continuing as I instantly felt arms around me. We both walked down the podium and sat back down.
"Is there anyone else?" The priest asked before nodding seeing that no one volunteered. After another set of prayers, Carlisle, Emmett, Jasper, and Edward carries my father's casket and we followed behind them. Esme wrapped her arms around my shoulder occasionally rubbing them. After they set the casket down, a man lowers it down and all of us threw flowers on the casket. The Cullens left me alone and I stayed behind looking down as two men covers the hole with dirt.
I walked away towards the Cullens who were waiting at the car for me. It was silent the hole ride and once we got to my home, I walked inside and up the stairs towards my room before shutting it to keep everyone out.

The Cullens hears Blake's door shut and locked making them feel pity for the poor girl. The Cullens hang out for a while when Edward walked up to Carlisle.

"Hey, Carlisle. Mind if I talk to you alone." He asked and Carlisle nodded as both of them walked into the kitchen. Jasper narrowed his eyes and couldn't help, but listen to their conversation.
"What is it Edward? Is something wrong?" Carlisle asked him and Edward sighs as he leans against the counter.
"It's just....it's just that I have feelings for Blake and I know that she's Jasper's mate, but it feels like I have known her for so long. Seeing her with Jasper made me feel...angry kinda like when I met Bella. She and Jacob hang out and I got jealous, but this one is a whole different level. Like I wanted to...I don't know what's happening to me. Is it a deadly crush or-" He was cut off by Carlisle stopping him.
"Hey hey hey, that's enough. I know the feeling when I saw Esme. I wanted to protect her too and I would get jealous whenever I see men try to take her away. I believe that Blake is your mate too. She's your mate like Jasper's." Carlisle reasons and Edward frowns a bit.
"How in the world would my mate be Edward's? Doesn't he have Bella?" Jasper asked from the kitchen doorway making both Edward and Carlisle look at him.
"Blake is special and I won't be surprised that the two of you are her mates. You two volunteered to stay with her and keep her safe even if you two would lash at each other for being in the same room." Carlisle chuckles at the last part making the two give him a are you kidding me look causing him to raise his hands up in surrender.
"But it's not normal for a person to have two mates." Edward tells Carlisle who shook his head.
"Yes, it is normal for a person to have mates. It's rare, but it has happened before. You see, back then when I still work for the Volturi, they would let me travel whenever I want too. I did and made some new friends along the way. Of course they are vampires. Then there's this one particular clan. The man had two mates who sometimes would lash out at each other for his attention, but he calms them down before they rip each other's throats. They, of course have others in their clan that has the same thing happening. Two people love the same and they told me it's normal for them." Carlisle tells them and both Jasper and Edward looked at each other taking the information all in.
"That's unexpected. We never knew it's normal for other clans." Jasper chuckles making Edward laugh and agree with him as well as Carlisle.
"They told me to keep it a secret and so I did. They said it's dangerous for others to know. Having two mates gives the main mate power and other things that I don't know of, but it never causes a lot of problems with them." Carlisle tells then and they nodded their heads.
"Guess we'll have to share." Edward tells Jasper who shrugs.
"Guess so."

Binary Soul
So let's say there's this girl. A young girl who happens to be a highly-trained, psionically-gifted, nanite-infused, genetically-enhanced and emotionally unstable assassin that doesn't know the concept of 'mercy' or 'holding back.' Let's say she and her imaginary friend miraculously pass through the borders of reality into an alternate universe, crash landing into a world of swords and magic aboard a starship full of high-tech wonders. Now, let's also say the first person this borderline psychopath meets happens to be her doppelganger - a highly gifted mage who happens to have a few problems of her own, like a bad temper or a bad habit of chronic self-delusion. With me so far? Good. Now, what's the on the agenda for these two different people who happen to be the same person? Settle down, start a family and thoroughly enjoy life. Maybe get married and have some kids. How about befriending a violent alcoholic or defeating an ancient evil being? Perhaps kill a few dragons and wreck a city along the way. Anything can happen around the city of Runetap, after all. It's a place where bizarre and strange things occur on an almost weekly basis. The people living there have long abandoned silly things like common sense or minding the details. A giant flaming UFO streaks above the city in broad daylight? That's just another Tuesday. The City Guard even had the form for that, so believe me when I say this. It's your loss if you mind it. This is the light-hearted and fluffy tale of Ellie and Kira as they forge their own path of absurdity and crazyness across a world that often makes little sense. Loosely inspired by the Discworld series of books by Terry Pratchett, even though the author hasn't actually read any of them. Contains yuri, mature themes and the author's personal views on several subjects. Explicit content is kept to a minimum.Does NOT contain slavery, rape, drugs or any other similarly heavy themes.

Nero Zero
Monsters plagued the lands for too long. No matter if one had fangs, beak, teeth, skin, fur, or feather, or was tall, stout, or diminutive, the people suffered. Until the Gadgeteers came with a device that could allow people to fight back. Powered by one's own magical power, feeding off of monster Essence, the Arbitrium bracer turned the tables. It also changed society. Strength of one's level cap was all that mattered. The strongest were Kings and Emperors. The weak or those too poor to afford the marvelous device, destitute. And so it has been for millennia. All that mattered was one's level cap. High, low, a fate decided the moment the strange contraption came alive. Too high and you were a threat to those interested in keeping the status quo, a weed to be nipped before it could grow and take root. Too low and you were nobody, fated to be a bit more than a simple farmer. What if someone, somewhere, came up with a zero for their level cap? Unable to use Essence, unable to level up. On all of recorded history, it never happened. Until it did. In a small village of fur-less and tail-less ape-beastkin, a boy found out he was uniquely handicapped. Nero's level cap was Zero. But he'd never let that stop him from reaching his goals. ------------------------------------------------ All stories have already been told. We merely reuse elements from them. From Joseph Campbell's Monomith to Stephen King's advice, and that encyclopedia of tropes you've visited, fiction has been dissected and reassembled countless times. One will surely find elements inspired on other works here. Just like cooking from basic ingredients, the recipe and presentation is what really matter. This is a fantasy adventure, of someone that goes from a zero to a slightly bigger zero. It will have romance but no harem. Cruelty but with hope dimly shining ahead. Lightweight where it can be, heavy where it must. Thanks for reading. Cover Credits (The cover is CC-BY-NC-SA): Steampunk Spider Bracer, by Daniel Proulx.
