Can turn anything into pure gold (or gold colored)
Alaska- ice:
Basically he's Elsa
Hawaii- lava:
She can make lava appear and she can turn into a volcanic rock monster
Luisiana- voodoo:
This one's pretty self explanatory
Nevada- bringer of good or bad fortune:
She can tell between good or bad decisions, and she can see your most possible fate if you go on either route. However, she stresses that anyone can change their fate, and that a bad decision can lead to a good opportunity. She can also curse or bless people with good or bad luck for a day, but it's way too physically draining to do too often.
RI- making things small:
He can shrink himself or other things/people, and can restore them to their proper size whenever he feels like it
Kansas- wind:
He make wind go woooooo
Colorado- terraforming:
He can create mountains and valleys with his brain
Florida- alligator:
He's literally just part alligator. He is slightly scaley in some areas, has a tail, and sharp teeth. However, he is unable to speak, so he has trouble communicating. This leads the other states to assume he's stupid and insane, when he is actually rather smart and rational.
Delaware- invisibility:
Can shift in and out of visibility. His clothes turn invisible with him.
Georgia- magical empath:
She can't directly hear people's thoughts, but she knows exactly what people are feeling and why. She can also sense pain/sickness/other health related stuffs.
Michigan- hearing:
He hears gud, and also has selective hearing. He can drown out all other noise just to listen to a conversation miles away
Minnesota- duplication:
She can clone herself, however her clones don't have their own consciousness or free will, they just do what she commands them to do and they disappear after a while. She can only summon ten at once
New Mexico- dehydrates:
He can just take the moisture out of anything. Even humans. He doesn't do it to humans though, because that would be murder.
Illinois- volume control:
can make his voice either superhumanly loud or soft
North + South Carolina- fusion:
They can fuse into an ultra-strong giant. However, both of them have to agree to fuse for it to work, and if they start arguing from within the giants mind, they start to de-fuse
Alabama- x-ray vision:
He can choose to see through any surface. People sure hope he uses his powers modestly.
New York- unlimited energy:
He doesn't need sleep, and can do anything for hours and hours without loosing energy. He can also gift energy to others.
Ohio- hidden in plain sight:
RamcatSquish described it better but I forgot their description so basically he's like Waldo ok? He's there but you don't realize it, and he can do the same thing to other objects/people. Again, people sure hope he's using this power modestly
Massachusetts- fire and water resistant:
He can't drown or get burnt
Mississippi- (human) shapeshifter:
They can turn into anybody, as long as they know what they look like. However, they have to keep a picture of themselves on them at all times so they don't forget what they look like.

Iowa- projection:
He can make a ghost-projection-holographic version of his thoughts. He can do this to replay memories, scare the heck out of people, or 3D storyboard/blueprint something
Maine- siren song:
She's a hella good singer, and can lure anyone with her voice. She can also calm people/animals down with her singing
New Jersey- (object) shapeshifter:
He can turn into any object
Maryland- crab claws:
Can make her hands turn into crab claws
Arkansas- diamond:
He can turn into a Diamond dude and become basically indestructible
Pennsylvania- telekinesis:
She can float stuffs with her brain
Idaho- gopher:
He just goes into the ground, and then sprouts again in another area. It's basically teleportation but limited to only places he can get to by ground (meaning he couldn't teleport into a plane, or elevated space, like the second + floor of a building)
Indiana- super speed:
He go brrrrr
Arizona- cactus:
He grows spikes
Utah- power to draw everyone to one area:
Y'know that one bell in minecraft that are in the villages? If you ring it all of the villagers gather around? Yeah, that's what he does, except he can choose who he wants to summon. The person he summons has no choice (kinda hypnosis-ish) but once they get there they can leave. Until he summons them again I guess
Wisconsin- healing cheese:
He can create cheese outa thin air that heals ya

New Hampshire- rain power:

Tennessee- magical banjo:
He can control animals with his music
Missouri- finger guns:
He can shoot finger guns. They are always loaded.
Montana- luck:
can find any precious material just lying around
Nebraska- Green thumb:
He can heal dead plants
Oklahoma- right place at right time:
He gets a 'Okie sense' that tells him to go to a specific area. When he gets there, it always benefits the situation. He can ignore these urges, however it usually leads to disastrous (or mildly inconvenient) consequences
Kentucky- can predict tomorrow:
He can't predict exactly what will happen, but he'll know if the next day will be a bad one, what the weather will be like, or if something big happens. But, as with Nevada, he warns that his predictions can be changed
Wyoming- hot boi:
Can shoot boiling water from his hands
Ok on with the story

Me and Florida swim for a bit. I mean, we have all day to pick a few flowers, we can afford some fun. So when the water floods from the pond and we're left sitting in some dirt, we're understandably upset. Florida shrieks at Oregon, who backs up.
"S-sorry... New York wanted me to get your attention," Oregon said. Me and Florida climb out of the pond, and Oregon puts the water back in place.

"So... I send you on a task, and you decide to go swimming?" Nueva says.
"Chill out, we have a full day to gather ten flowers! Besides, Florida wanted to!" I exclaimed. Florida pushed me. I can tell what he's thinking.
You suggested it!! It's not my idea!
Nueva just rolls his eyes.
"Just hurry up and make yourself useful for once. We only have today to prepare," New York said, before walking away. I sigh.
"Okaaaay, let's get the flowers...," I groan. Florida pouts, but follows me through the garden. All of the flowers are golden. I know who did this.
"Cali, you do realize that New York specifically asked me for red roses, and you just turned all of them gold," I said. California giggles innocently, however I know that he knows what he just did.
"Sorry, sorry, go talk to Washington, he'll help you," California said. I sigh. "Now that I think about it, you picking the flowers is really unnecessary... Washington could just grow them himself...New York must feel bad about you... y'know... not having any powers and all that," California said. God I wanna slap that smug falsely innocent grin off of his perfect face. Instead I just clench my fists and sigh.
"You know, some of us just wanna help-,"
"Oh, I understand Tex, trust me... you just want to pull your own weight like every other state... I'm sorry that's so hard for you, and call me Nevada, but I've got some bad news... you can want all you want, it doesn't make you useful," California said. Florida snapped at him, but California didn't jump. California also isn't afraid of Florida. I'm not exactly sure why- maybe because he's so cold and evil he might actually use his powers for murder if he wanted to.
Ok... you know what? Maybe that's harsh judgment...
Me and California did use to be friends, but ever since he got his Midas touch, he became prissy and perfectionistic. And, since he's Nuevas boyfriend and Nueva despises me, California despises me as well.
"Can you just tell me where Washington is?" I ask. California shrugged.
"In the courtyard, he's sprucing up the place," California said. I nod, and start heading that way. Florida sticks his tongue out at California and follows me. We get to the courtyard and I find Washington. I shove the list of flowers in his hands.
"Create those for me so I can give it to New York so I can go take a nap," I say. Washington nods, and Georgia places a hand on my arm, reading why I'm upset.
"California shouldn't have bugged you. I know he can be mean at times...," Georgia said. I sigh.
"It's whatever... I don't need his approval anyway," I say. Washington hands me the bouquet.
"On the plus side, we'll all have fun tomorrow right? Besides, there will be alcohol, and when alcohol is out everyone is friends," Washington said. I chuckle.
"I guess so," I say. But suddenly, I feel compelled to go to the dining hall. "Ugh, Utah's callin... I'll be right back," I say. I get to the dining hall, and I see New York with Nevada, Utah, and Kentucky... uh oh, this can't be good....
"Kentucky says tomorrow will likely be bad... so bad it gave him a vision of you... I'm sorry Texas, but tomorrow has to be perfect. For the safety of all of us, you should just stay in your room," Nueva said. Well damn.
"That's... not fair...?" I say.
"Texas... even if it isn't for our safety... it's also for you. What if at the party, you get hurt? We just want to make sure everything turns out ok," Kentucky says.
"But... Nevada, what do you think? Is keeping me hidden going to benefit the party?" I ask. Nevada closes her eyes and takes a deep breath.
"It appears so... I'm sorry....," Nevada said.
"Oh... ok.... u-um.... I guess I'll go let Florida know...," I say, awkwardly walking away. The second I leave the dining hall, I run into Michigan.
"I DIDNT I SWEAR-,"
"I know you heard everything don't even try lying," I say, trying to dramatically rush to my room. However, I run into an invisible someone.
"Sorry! Sorry! I forgot I was invisible!" Delaware said, becoming visible. I sigh.
"No worries...," I say.
"I'm sorry about what happened back there Tex... Michigan told me what Cali said as well... you know you're not useless-,"
"I know, I know... I just need some time to be edgy in my room by myself for a bit," I say, walking past them. I then run into Ohio. "GODDAMMIT COULD YOU NOT?!" I exclaim.
"Sorry," Ohio said. I groan and walk past them. I get to my room to see Florida waiting for me. He smiles brightly when he sees me.
"Hey Florida... bad news... I'm on timeout for tomorrow...," I say. Florida tilts his head in confusion. I sigh. "I'm being banished from the feast for the good of all people," I say in a funny accent. Florida looks surprised, and then hisses. "Look, I don't have a choice. I really wanted to go... but... Kentucky had a vision, and Nevada said it's a good idea for me to stay in my room tomorrow," I say. Florida sighs and gives me a hug. "I know, it sucks, you have fun though, ok?" I say. Florida shakes his head. "C'mon, don't be a downer! Please, I know you'll have fun!" I exclaim. Florida sighs. "We can hang out in the meantime right?" I say. Florida smiles and nods, before leading me to his room.
The states rooms are more like portals into their own small world. Florida's is a swamp. However, the waters are crystalline and smell like citrus, and there is a lovely wooden bridge leading to a center island where a small cabin stood. Inside, was Florida's bed and game consoles. He takes out his switch, and we play Mario cart for the rest of the day.
(I hope this book gets clout, I'm lovin the characters (especially my babies Texas and Florida) :D)

The Other World
Every living being becomes a Traveler while sleeping. This means that part of what is called “consciousness” detaches from the rest, carrying us towards worlds located in parts still unknown of the universe. Most of these places have things that inhabit only our dreams. Worlds were physics is not the same one we know. Where magic exists and mythological creatures walk amongst the people. Most of the Travelers become mere spectators in this world, unable to influence it. With some luck, they can go back to their bodies and wake up with the memory of a pleasant dream. Others do not have the same luck and end up stuck in the limbo, unable to return home. There is one other category of Travelers. These are the ones strong enough to create bodies and separate themselves from the life they had before. These Travelers start a new life without ever thinking about returning to the place they once called “home”. This story is about the last kind of Travelers and their trials in a world filled with spells, magical creatures and monsters. **
8 131The Last Marshal
Weird West Fantasy Noir Once the Republic Marshals brought order to the chaotic lands along the Frontier, facing dangers both human and supernatural with ancient wisdom and a six-gun —but that was a long time ago. Destroyed by conspiracy and betrayal, all that remains of that secretive order is one nameless man on a trek though the West seeking revenge on the woman he blames for the Marshals' fall and his disgrace. When a visitor from our world joins him on his journey, they together must confront the horrors of a strange land, the mysteries of the past and the real meaning of their quest for justice. The world of Tellus is what 19th Century Earth would have looked like if the stories of Poe, Ambrose Bierce, Lovecraft and William Hope Hodgeson were real. History in this world moves slower. The old faiths persist and civilization never conquered the dark corners of the map, at least not without being inextricably changed. Technology and culture takes a little longer to evolve in this land, as people here tend to spend more time pursuing their elaborate revenge plots or trying to avoid being the next sacrifice to the Outer Gods rather than advancing science or statecraft. Imagine Cormac McCarthy by way of Edgar Rice Burroughs, though a little less testosterone-drenched than that description would imply. Three caveats: First, there are deep mysteries here, including how such a world came to be and who controls it. Second, this world is not wholly unconnected from our own. There is a historical point of divergence, but in the distant past. To paraphrase Twain: history in this world is not a repeat of our own, but it does often rhyme. And finally, this is not a setting that lends itself to happy endings.
8 148Hunters
The world of Eviet is a dengerous place. Two twin fire-hounds that happened to get stuck in a storm know this better than most. In the morning after the storm they smell blood.
8 63Lightfall 4: Darkest Sinlight
Darkness descends over Ardjia, that newly discovered beautiful gemlike planet and its many hundreds of starlane jump points that the Syndicate, the Identic, and Ardjia herself are all too willing to commit murder to control. What is the darkest sin of a world of dark energy users? Where blood is the currency of truth, of power, of life itself, where living sacrifices have their hearts ripped out and offered to the gods atop ancient pyramids, what could possibly be considered a dark blasphemy? Lord Lightfall and the undisputed King of Sunset Highland face their own darkest sins while trying to stay alive and bring the dark ka culture of Ardjia up out of the gravity well and out into the Intergalactic Identic all the while trying to maintain a bit of integrity amidst an array of awful choices whose consequences may come to affect millions on Ardjia if not billions throughout the Identic.
