I lay on my bed after Isha, since our fight today, Shumayll did not message me, nor call me nor was he at the dinner table after magrib

i don't even know if he is home or not

my side hurt so i drank water

lots of water

i lay on his bed, my stomach on a pillow as i closed my eyes

i was suppose to move out of his room today but i didn't- i will perhaps, move out tomorrow

I love this room

its so peaceful and the best part is that i can sleep, like actual sleep in this room

usually i am wide awake at nights, but recently i have been sleeping well without medics

anyways....... i lay on the bed, watching youtube videos

my phone vibrated and i checked the message

"Hows u baby girl?"

bhabhi messaged me

"Good...... u?" i replied

we chatted for a few minutes before she said good night and we stopped chatting

i was hoping for a message from Shumayll but i got nothing

slowly i faded into my sleep

the next morning, i could not get up

my whole body ached and i knew what this meant

oh god no!

My stomach hurt like hell and I groaned in pain as my ovaries fought inside me

I somehow managed to get to the bathroom and shower

after a short hot shower, i changed into my comfy pajama's and hit the bed again

don't ask me to walk anymore for at least 2 to 3 hours please!

"Iqra? are you alright?" asked a concerned Stan and I nodded

"Yeah, just need asprin" i muttered and he nodded immediately

I don't know how he will get me an aspirin, he is VIRTUAL!

I heard a knock on the door, and then it opened, revealing Huma didi and Riza aunt

there goes my cooking plans!

"Iqra, are you alright?" asked Riza aunt rushing to my side and i merely nodded

"You did not come down for breakfast or cooking so i thought........" said aunt and i forced a smile

i had a splitting headache, my ovaries were exploding, my body seemed to be breaking in pieces and the world seemed to be spinning

"Asprin" I muttered and didi nodded before walking around Shumayll's room and fetching Aspirin and water for me

"Jazak Allah khair" I said and she replied a 'Wa iyyakum'

I drank Aspirin and lay on the bed, trying to breathe

Now, naturally i am a very normal person, but when it comes to 'that time of the month' i tend to get moody

that explains alot why i was snapping at Shumayll over everything

I don't even know if he came home last night!

Riza aunt and Huma didi left me to be on my own

Stan played random movies online and i watched it

"I am tired-" i muttered

i did not eat anything that Raya brought me to eat, I left it all on the table and each time she came with something new, she would take the previous one back without it being touched

The only thing i did was get up and shower before i felt the cramps slowly dieing out

i was happy for it though

the whole day passed off like that and Huma didi and Riza aunt checked up on me randomly

night passed by uneventful and soon it was morning

and i could not have been happier

it was Sunday, firstly, secondly, I was not longer in the first day of my cycle so that means i am free to walk around and do things

I changed into comfortable leggings (they made me feel secure) with oversized tees that fell till my knees and had the saying: "I was too lazy to change- DEAL WITH IT!" with a hijab before looking for my flip flops

okay, where are my house flip flops?!?

i searched for it at the shoe racks, the bathroom, the closet, under the bed, at the living room but no where to be found!

where did it WALK to!?!

I wrecked my brain for it but i got nothing

"Where is it!?!" I whined but then it did not reply to me so i walked around the house wearing fuzzy socks

"Iqra, where are your flip flops!?! or warm shoes?" scolded Riza aunt and i chuckled

"Nowhere to be found, i don't know where i left them......" I muttered

"In my car" that was Shumayll

finally he decides to show up

I turned to him and smiled

he did not return the smile

why?

coz now hes pissed at me for being pissed off at him for nothing

oh come on! give a girl some break man!

"Oh right- can i have them?" i gave him the puppy dog eyes and he sighed

"Fine, I'll get them!" he said, dropping his head low and i grinned

He walked away and i turned to Riza aunt

Her eyes were wide and a small smile on her lips

"What?" I asked her

"He just agreed to get your flip flops!" she said and i raised my eyebrows

"Uhuh" i replied and she smiled

"Is this a start of a beautiful friendship?" she asked me and i shrugged

"If he behaves, then i do too- if not then........." i muttered and she laughed

she walked over to me and kissed my forehead

"May Allah keep you both blessed" she muttered before walking away

there was double meaning in her words and i knew it

I sighed and walked into the kitchen when Shumayll threw the flip flops on the floor

"Wear them" he said and i chuckled

"Thanks!" i said and wore them with socks

"So....................." he said as he leaned on the counter

i took an apple and sliced it into pieces

"What?" i asked him, looking up from my cutting

"Still pissed off at me?" he asked, almost looking hopeful that i would say no

How could i say no!

"Yes" i said going back to chopping my apples

his shoulders slumped and he sighed deeply

"Really? I said I was sorry yaal!!!" he said and i could not keep it up anymore

I burst out laughing

"The hell Iqra!" he said and i sobered up

"Alright- its okay-" i muttered before cutting the apples again

"Can i have some too?" he asked me and i shook my head 'no'

"Nope" i replied smirking at him

he folded his arms over his chest and smirked back, leaning onto the counter on which i was working on

"Darling, i always have what I want" he whispered to me

I should be scared

but I smirk instead

"Oh honey, this is a NO ENTRY ZONE!" I replied crossing my arms over my chest

he clenched his stomach and laughed

"The heck is wrong with him?" asked Huma didi entering the kitchen

"No-nothing" replied Shumayll as he finally quit laughing

"No, I wanna know the joke" she said and I gave Shumayll a glare

"She has humor, i was surprised she did-" replied Shumayll throwing me his famous smiles

"Bhabhi, its out of your league- chill" he said before winking at me and walking away

Huma didi turned to me and i quickly put the apples on the plate and speed-walk out of the kitchen

I set with daadi mah, eating apples and watching hindi tv shows

"Iqra, whats your thought on marriage?" asked Daadi mah suddenly and i did a confused look with my eyes

"Uhh........." i muttered and daadi mah chuckled

"Don't be shy, I just want to know, i mean if you have some guy in your mind, its okay..." she replied and i inwardly smiled

"No, its just that my adorable grandson, Waarith, is coming over from New Zealand, to stay with us for a cousins wedding, for a few weeks, i am sure you both will like each other's company" she said smiling and i knew what was going on in her head

"Good!" with that she went back to the tv show

after an hour or so of suffering hindi TV shows with daadi mah, I got up to head to my room

i cannot pray for a week so here i am, getting bored

i played candy crush on my phone until i got more bored

deciding to call bhabhi, I opened viber and hit call on her contact

after a few rings, she picked up

"As salaam baby girl!!" she squealed and i winced

"Was salaam, whats up with the cheery voice?" I asked her and she chuckled

"Nothing, Happy that i am returning back home in 6 days!!" she replied

6 days?

a month is already over?

"A month is already over?" i question her and she chuckled

"Yes honey, looks like you were having so much fun to notice!" she said, a hint of playfullness in her voice

I knew what she was implying

"Which reminds me- Does Shumayll have a cousin in NZ?" i asked her and she laughed

"Ask him, not me! How would i know!?!" she replied

"Oh right-" i muttered

"What happened?" she asked me

"daadi mah is setting me up with him" i replied sighing

"Oh Allah, finally someone is getting Iqra married! Everyone still thinks you are a 10 year old kid!" she replied and i chuckled this time

"Awwhh bhabhi, I will still be the baby of the house!" I replied and she laughed

"So true" she replied

"Hows everyone?" I asked her

"Alhamdulillah, Zaik and Zahi are hyper to reach home and attack you with stories from Fiji, Nabz and Nafz are happy too, ammi and abba seem happy as ever!" she replied

"Hows bhai?" i asked her, teasing her to no limits

"He is............ good" she replied

"Did something happen?" I asked her and she laughed

"Really? can anything ever happen between us?" she asked and i nodded my head

they are like.................................................... a very happy couple (I ran out of any happy couple i knew!)

We chatted for a few minutes or hours, i don't know- she shared fun moments while i listened and dozed off at times

finally we hung up and i went down for afternoon walk

i wanted to walk around the house, since the sun was out and it was sorta shady

I looked around for aunt and Huma didi but found no one

"Where is everyone?" i muttered until i heard Huma didi's voice

I followed it down the hall to a large laundry room

there was a door that led it outside

Aunt called didi and she yelled a 'coming' from there

"Hey, need help?" i asked her and she smiled sadly

"Pleasee" she drawled and i laughed

"Go, I will finish the laundry" i said and she nodded before quickly hugging me and going away

I shook my head and separated the white clothes from the colored ones

then one by one, i put the white clothes in the washer, adding soap powder and water

"Wow, she can do laundry!"

Shumayll set on one of the counters in the room, smirking at me

"Shut up" i muttered and placed the laundry bucket on the floor

I opened another washer and put all the colored clothes in them, tees, then jeans and then socks

the handkerchiefs were washed separately

repeating the process, i hit both the washers to wash only

the sun was out, why use electricity?

"Put them in the dryer Iqra" said Shumayll and i turned to him

"No, the suns is out, let the sun dry it" i replied and he sighed

"Fine, hurry up, I am hungry" he said and i gave him a weird look

"Go eat food!" i replied

Sunday's here, like always, was that you make and eat whatever you wnat for breakfast, lunch is always out and dinner.......... well lets just say its random

so yeah

"I bet you did not eat so we will eat together!" he grinned and i chuckled

"Since you are practically aimless, help me with these washings" i said and he groaned

"Noooo" he whined and I glared at him

"No!" he replied

I was sick and i cannot, simply cannot, pick up a huge bucket full of wet clothings

"Please Shumayll, just once!!" i said and he sighed

"Fine" he said in a defeated tone

I put all the washed clothes in the bucket and he carried it outside to the gardens

It did not have any lines

"Shumayll, is there any wire, hydrant wire around here?" I asked him and he turned to me alarmed

"What do you need that for?" he asked in a concerned tone

So concerned that i laughed at him

"I need to tie it for the clothes dumbo!" i said and he sighed

"Yeah- wait a minute- let me get them" he said before heading away somewhere

I changed my flipflops and stood outside waiting for him to return

When he did, he was wearing shorts and tees with a huge bunch of wires with him

He tied it high up on one tree and then to the other, he made three rounds and then secured it

"There- all done" He said grinning at me

The sun was giving me alot of heat, because i could feel my body heat up

I started hanging the clothes one by one, using pegs to secure them

from the largest till the smallest

Shumayll was somewhere while i worked

He would occasionally walk about with the pegs and bucket of clothes with me as i put all the clothes up

By the time i was done, I was red and laughing because Shumayll's very own dog decided to chase Shumayll around

"The hell Rambo!! Quit it!!" yelled Shumayll as he ran around the clothes line

He finally found a hose pipe and hit it open, causing water to fly all over my perfectly almost dried clothes

"SHUMAYLL!!!" i yelled at him and he stood straight looking at me

I pointed to the clothes and he shrugged

"I told you to not put it outside!" he said and i sighed

"Leave them, may Rambo chase you out of the gates" i muttered and began to walk towards the door when i saw a huge furry beast of a dog standing there, staring at me

in other cases, he would be very handsome, because of his huge frame and fur color but right now, he looked scary

"Sh-Shumayll" i called out but that dumb guy was deaf too

"Sh-Shumayll" i said and took a step back

the dog took a step infront

"G-go-good doggy?" i say and he growls

he took another step and another, I took one and then ran yelling out "SHUMAYLLL!!!"

I ran, wherever my feet took to me to

The dog was barking and running after me, until I heard a whistle, the dog stopped and turned around

He then, happily walked towards Shumayll

the heck?!!

I held my hand on my chest, as i tried to breathe

I heard Shumayll running to me

"Are you alright?" he asked me, kneeling to my side

My eyes met his and he was concerned

but i was not happy

i was furious!

"You freaking dog could have killed me today!!" I semi yelled at him

He sighed and ran his hand through his hair

"I am sorry, alright, i did not know he would chase you, did you fall and hurt yourself?" he asked me

thats when i realize i was sitting on the damn grass

I stood up quickly and turned around to see my dress

There was not stain of anything so i was saved

"Your dress won't get ruined! You can wash them" he muttered and i sighed

"its fine....... I need a damn shower now" i said and he chuckled

"What?" i asked him as we walked towards the house

"You are starting to use my language" he said and i laughed

"thanks" i replied smiling at him

he looked at me with admiration and sincerity in his eyes

something that made my insides melt

it was too good to be true man

"Which reminds me, do you have a cousin in NZ?" i asked him and he nodded

"Yeah, Waarith, coming over tomorrow, because of the wedding of some friend of his" he replied and i chuckled

"What? you know him?" he said, all possessive, into Alpha male mode

"No, your grandmother knows him" i replied and he halted on his tracks

i turned from the front and raised my eyebrows

"What else did she say?" he asked, his voice low

"Uhh that he was coming over for a cousins wedding- not friends, guess thats a misunderstanding, anyways- she was trying to set me up or something" i said honestly

his ears turned red and his knuckles turned white, his grip in his fist was tight and his veins were showing

"Shumayll, its no use, you and I both know that" i said and he sighed, his anger level decreasing

"At times i feel like i will lose you, but then i remember that you were never mine in the first place" he said and i turned to him, wide eyed

"Its fine........ anyways-" he said looking up and grinning at me but i could see past that facade

"No anyway- why do you say that?" i demanded him and he chuckled

"Because................ If you liked someone for over 3 years, never once did you tell them and when you finally tell them, someone else takes them away from you- will that be a good thought?" he asked me and i sighed

"Shumayll, Mohammed Shumayll Istiaq Edris, you are not the kind of guy who will sit at the sidelines, waiting for someone to throw you an invitation to do something, you do it coz you want to- thats the best trait about you- any girl will be happy with you!" i said and he sighed

"Thats the thing, any girl, but I want you- I know you don't reciprocate my feelings but........ maybe? a guy can hope, now can't he?" he said smiling slightly

"But if that hope crashes? Shumayll, you are hoping on something that is not possible, i cannot love anyone and you know that" i said

i am a messed up human and i really don't want him it this

"you can and you will, You are my hijabi princess and I will make you my hijabi queen- don't ever say that- i just don't get why you can't!" he replied sincerely

we were talking, so much heart to heart, but he maintained the distance between us
