《Marinette One-Shots》What happened in Paris?? ~Chloenette~

Marinette was smiling and talking to everyone she saw, thoroughly enjoying herself at the gala Bruce had hosted, when she caught sight of someone, she'd never thought she'd she again. Marinette gasped and took a step backwards, in the middle of her conversation with Damian, who, was confused by her actions, stuttering out an apology, Marinette turned and fled from the room, and Damian followed her, because it was obvious, she was in distress.
"Marinette?" Damian asked gently when he found her, back to the wall, head on her knees, sobbing. She looked up. "Damian?" Damian nodded and sat next to her,
"Tell me what's wrong." Marinette glanced at the hall leading to the room the Gala was in, and she sighed. "I-I- I never thought I'd see h-her a-again." Marinette managed to stutter out. Damian knew better than to ask who, he just placed his hand on her arm, and said.
"You should go talk to her." Marinette nodded. "Yeah. Thanks Damian, I needed that." and with that, Damian and Marinette headed back into the room, and Marinette walked across the room, towards a blonde, a blonde with brilliant blue eyes, and a yellow, and black dress, obviously designed with a bee in mind. When Marinette reached the girl, she lightly placed her hand on the girl's forearm, drawing her attention. The girl gasped and pulled Marinette into a hug.
"M-bug! Oh my god. I'm so, so, so sorry I left! I-" Marinette cut her off before she could finish. "Hey, hey Queenie. It's ok, you had to get yourself out of that toxic situation. I understand." Chloe frowned, she hated how self-sacrificing Marinette was, and said so. Marinette laughed, and asked Chloe to dance with her.
Marinette dragged Chloe out onto the dance floor. And they caught up, and found out what they'd missed. Finally, Marinette worked up the courage, and said, "Chloe, I-I- I still love you." Chloe smiled at Marinette, and said "I love you too, my bug. We never officially broke up, do I still count as your Girlfriend?" Marinette laughed, and hugged Chloe again.

"Yes, You can." just then, the batboys walked over, and Chloe nudged Marinette, and the two turned to the boys with ridiculous smiles on their faces.
"Hi! I'm Mari's older brother Dick!" Dick said, with a bright smile, Chloe laughed a little. "Yeah, M-bug told me she got adopted. She didn't say you guys were cute though." Marinette groaned,
"Queenie!!" and Chloe laughed again. "Not to worry Bug. I'd never." Marinette smiled,
"Yes, I know that Queenie, but you're embarrassing me!" Chloe smirked, and Marinette knew she made a mistake, Chloe's smile twisted, and she asked, "Isn't that my job, as your girlfriend?" the boys were just standing there slack jawed now, and Marinette lightly shoved Chloe.
"Chloe!!!!" Chloe snickered. Then turned back to the batboys. "Ok, let's try this again. Hi, I'm Chloe Bourgeois." Dick was the first to sorta recover from the shock.
"Marinette! You didn't tell us you had a girlfriend! We've gotta go tell Selina! She'll just love this!" he said, grabbing the girls by their wrists and pulling them to Selina.
"Selina!" Dick called, and she turned, eyes lighting up when she caught sight of Chloe. "Who's this?" she asked, just dying of curiosity Dick smiled, and pulled the girls next to each other, then he pointed at the two of them, and said,
"Secret girlfriend." Selina gasped, and lightly wacked Marinette on the head. "You have a girlfriend! And she's cute!" then, she turned to Chloe, and said, "And what might your name be?" Chloe grinned.
"I'm Chloe. Chloe Bourgeois." Selina squealed. "Awwww. You're gonna be perfect for her!" Marinette and Chloe laughed at that.
"Might I ask how long ago you two met?" Bruce asks, and Chloe smiles. "We met in School. First grade if I remember correctly?" She asks, turning to Marinette, Marinette laughed,

"Yeah, you were such a bitch." Chloe laughed two. "I remember I told you to give me your pancake, and you told me to fuck off, and then proceed to throw the pancake at my retreating back." Marinette smiled innocently.
"Oh? I would never." The girls laughed again. And Bruce ventured the question they were all wondering, "What happened in Paris?" Marinette wouldn't tell them, and it was obvious whatever it was still scared her. Chloe's eyes widened.
"Mari! You didn't tell them?!" Marinette shook her head. "No. They don't know much. . . and I couldn't bring myself to tell them about Lila, or Hawkmoth, or Chat. . ." Chloe smiled sadly at her girlfriend.
"Hey, hey, it's ok." Marinette nodded, slightly, and Chloe could tell she was shoving her emotions away. Pushing Marinette away from her slightly, and looked into her eyes forgetting about the others, "Marinette. What year is it?" Marinette looked up at Chloe, and shakily said
"XXXX"Chloe nodded, and then said, "Ok, how long ago did we defeat Hawky?" Marinette giggled at the name and said,
"8 years ago." Chloe nodded, "And where are we?"
"In Gotham." Marinette whispered, "Ok? And Lila?" Marinette tilted her head.
"God knows. I hope she's dead." and Chloe smiled, and asked the last question. "Me too. So?" Marinette smiled sadly,
"I can feel sad emotions." And the batfam was just standing there like, WHAT?!!!!

It's the beginning of a series I know I'm going to enjoy, with great writing and hints of deep in-game lore. The characters are fun, the plot is engaging, and I never know what is going to happen next. The action is fast, brutal and realistic.
