《Fairy Tail's Demon God》Chapter 7: The Line Between Right and Wrong

Erza: "What do you mean kill him!?"
Ryuga: "What else? End his life. Would you prefer me to use a different word instead of kill?"
Erza: "You can't kill him!"
Ryuga: "Why not?"
Erza: "Because he's just possessed... I know that he's a good person deep down."
Ryuga: "Can you say that after he cast you out and turned your old friends against you?"
Erza: "I.."
Ryuga started walking away.
Erza: "Wait!"
Ryuga: "You have more to say to me?"
Erza: "Please.. just don't kill him."
Ryuga sighed and placed a hand on his forehead. He calmed down and nodded, before disappearing up the stairs. The others, feeling a little dejected, slowly moved their separate ways, after wishing each other good luck.
Erza tried running after Ryuga, but she couldn't catch up. Ryuga walked into a room full of sakura trees and a large bridge connecting it to the other side. He gazed at the beautiful scenery for a bit before realizing a woman was walking towards him. She wore a white kimono, and had sakura pink hair. She carried a katana in her left hand.
Ikaruga: "Beautiful, isn't it?"
Ryuga: "It is." He turned towards her. "Are you an enemy?"
She didn't say anything, but pulled out her sword. In a speed as if it was lightning, she struct at Ryuga's torso.
Ryuga: "In that case." He reached out and grabbed the blade between his fingers. "You're an enemy."
Ikaruga: "Wha-!"
She was cut off from her speech when Ryuga struck her in the gut. Unable to breathe or move, Ikaruga fell to the floor. Before he could take another step, Jellal's voice was heard throughout the tower.
Jellal: "Fifteen minutes before Etherion fires. Do you really think you can find, defeat me, and flee in time?"
Ryuga: "Wait.. They have an Etherion? When did that happen?"
He shrugged and started walking again. Not making it fully across the bridge, he hears Erza's voice call out to him.
Erza: "Finally, I found you."
Ryuga: "Took you long enough."
She ran up to him, after looking at the corpse of Ikaruga.
Erza: "Is she dead?.."
Ryuga: "So what if she is?"
Erza: "But-"
Ryuga: "Tell me Erza. What is right, and what is wrong? Is murder right?"
Erza: "No, obviously not."
Ryuga: "So you're saying I was wrong to kill her?"
Erza: "I.. I don't know."
Ryuga sighed and put a hand on her head. She looked confused and distressed.
Ryuga: "Erza, let me tell you what my father told me. 'If one is willing to kill you, you have the right to kill them first. However, it is your choice whether to spare them or not. If you are willing to take a life, you should be willing to have someone else take yours.' Is what he told me."

Erza: "He sounds like a good man.."
Ryuga: "He's secretly an idiot."
They both laughed a little, and Ryuga started to walk towards Jellal again. Erza followed him, asking what the plan was. He explained while they walked.
Ryuga: "You haven't noticed? The tower is a giant lacrima."
Erza: "What! So you mean?"
Ryuga: "The Etherion blast will be completely absorbed. However, it will be very unstable. That's probably where you come in."
Erza: "I see. I thought it was to resurrect Zeref."
Ryuga's mind: "Well, Zeref's alive.."
Ryuga: "Right. Anyway, we're here."
They stood in front of a large door. Ryuga kicked it upon, revealing Jellal sitting on his throne. Erza was about to rush him, but Ryuga stuck his arm out, blocking her way.
Jellal: "I didn't think you'd come here. The Etherion is almost upon us."
Ryuga: "Your aura of pride disgusts me... I can't wait to break you."
Jellal: "What do you me-"
Ryuga broke a large chunk of the wall only by pointing towards it, and it showed a glowing blue crystal.
Ryuga: "Lacrima for the Etherion. Did you think I was stupid and wouldn't figure out your plan?"
Jellal: "How did you?"
Ryuga: "I would be a disgrace to the first master if I couldn't figure out something as simple as this."
After he said this, Seigrain appeared and walked up to Jellal. He fused with him, proving that Seigrain was only an illusion.
Jellal: "Seems like you figured this out, but do you have the power to stop me?"
Ryuga: "Shall we test that?"
They both got ready to fight, but before they started, an explosion was heard, and Natsu came running towards them with his mouth on fire.
Ryuga: "Nat-?"
He was cut off by a punch to the face from Natsu, covered in flame. Ryuga was launched back a few meters by the punch, and both Erza and Jellal's jaws dropped.
Natsu: "Haha! Got you Jellal!" He noticed Jellal was standing to his left. "Huh?"
Natsu looked over to the rubble to find a purple mist leaking out from it. A hand popped out from the rubble, and Ryuga gradually rose from the pile of rocks and lacrima. His eyes were emitting a purple mist and glowing like a wolf's in the night. He had smoke venting from his mouth. Natsu unintentionally screamed, as Ryuga's horns and wings slowly grew out from his body.
Natsu: "I-I didn't m-mean to."
Ryuga launched himself at Natsu and started releasing a set of punches and kicks at him. When he was done, Natsu was laying on the ground with bruises all over his body.

Ryuga: "I'll heal you later. Now then."
He looked behind him to see Jellal trying to sneakily escape. Ryuga disappeared from sight and reappeared in front of Jellal. Jellal tried escaping with Meteor, but Ryuga was still faster.
Ryuga: "You can't run."
Jellal: "Then I'll fight!"
He cast Grand Chariot, and the rain of light bore down on Ryuga.
Erza: "Ryuga!"
She screamed out his name, hoping he was safe.
From within the light, a voice was heard.
Ryuga: "Is this your most powerful attack? Jupiter was worse."
The light died down to reveal Ryuga without any scratches or burns.
Jellal: "Impossible!"
Ryuga: "Is it?"
Jellal was running out of options, so he steeled his resolve and crossed his arms above his head. A black orb formed between his fingers and started to grow rapidly. The shadows started to bend towards the orb.
Erza: "Oh no! That's Altairis! It's equivalent to death magic!"
Ryuga: "Hoh? Is that so?"
Erza: "Ryuga, you really can't block this one!"
Ryuga: "I'll be fine, just get Natsu out of here."
Jellal launched the orb towards Ryuga, however, Erza jumped in front of it.
Erza: "I won't let you die for me!"
She readied herself for impact, but, again, it never came. She opened her eyes to find Simon lying on the ground, dead. Erza broke down crying, and held Simon's corpse to her chest.
Jellal: "Hahaha! Guess you couldn't profess in the end huh Simon?"
Erza looked up to Jellal with bloodshot eyes. She felt an emotion she never had felt before, hatred. She slowly got up and picked up one of her swords. Ryuga smiled and went over to the unconscious Natsu. He picked Natsu up like a princess, while hearing crashes behind him.
Erza was easily able to defeat the exhausted Jellal, but before she could kill him, she felt a hand on her shoulder. She looked behind her to find Ryuga carrying Natsu under his arm.
Ryuga: "Leave him, we gotta go."
Erza just now noticed the tower collapsing and nodded. She looked at Jellal one last time before turning around and helping Ryuga carry Natsu.
Ryuga: "Ready?"
Erza: "Yeah."
He teleported them to the shore of the tower, and while the tower was collapsing, the others ran over to them.
Lucy: "You're all okay!"
Ryuga: "Yeah, but we need to leave soon. Everyone grab onto me."
Everyone did so, and he mass teleported everyone into the Fairy Tail guild hall. They crashed into each other in a pile, while Cana spat out her drink.
Cana: "What the hell!?"
Mirajane: "Oh my."
Elfman: "That looks like fun!"
He sprinted and jumped onto everyone, crushing the poor Natsu at the bottom.
While the group was gone at the tower, the Fairy Tail guild hall was remodeled. It was larger than the previous, and had a more medieval style. Ryuga was sitting on one of the bar chairs, drinking his favorite liquor. Although it had no effect on him, he would still often drink with Cana. She was chugging down a barrel of it, while Ryuga slowly sipped the bottle Mirajane gave him.
Cana: "Wash wong Wyuga? Can't handle the alcohol?"
Ryuga: "The alcohol can't handle me. Poisons have no effect on me."
Cana: "Thash too bad. If you wassh drunk you might have tha chanhce to have a go at me."
Ryuga: "I don't think Mirajane would allow that to happen."
The sound of a glass shattering was heard, and they looked towards Mirajane, who had a broken bottle in her hands. She had a sweet, but fake smile on her face.
Mirajane: "That's right."
She walked off to get another bottle, and Ryuga got up to talk to Makarov. A lot of members were crowded around the master. Ryuga had to sift through the crowd until he got at the front.
Makarov: "Oh, Ryuga, you're here. We have two new members."
He pointed to Juvia Lockser and Gajeel Redfox.
Ryuga: "Oh, water girl and.. iron dragon slayer?"
Juvia: "My name is Juvia!"
Gajeel: "Whatever, I'm Gajeel."
Ryuga: "Welcome to the guild."
He walked away, heading towards his apartment. When he got inside, he found that Lucy, Natsu, Gray, and Erza were already there. Natsu was lighting the fireplace, Gray was playing cards with Happy, and Lucy and Erza were looking out the window. Lucy heard him close the door and put her hands up, as if to show she wasn't guilty.
Ryuga: "I only have one bed... And the maximum it can hold is two people."
Natsu: "Aha, I'm sure we can cram everyone in there."
Ryuga: ".. Not even close."
Gray: "Moving on from that, isn't the Miss Fairy Tail contest tomorrow?"
Erza: "Yes. I plan to participate."
Lucy: "You too? Mirajane and Cana already said they're participating. I'll have no luck of winning."
Ryuga: "The winner gets 500,000 Jewel."
Lucy: "I'm participating!"
Gray: "Hey Ryuga, who do you think will win?"
Ryuga: "Isn't it obvious? Elfman."
They had a laugh, then decided where to sleep. Natsu already passed out on the bed; so the other's slept on the floor.

Thomas the Brawler
Thomas doesn't remember what his last name was, before it became Bluebrim, a name belonging to another universe. He's also pretty sure he wasn't this stupid before he arrived, but what can you do, when a day that was supposed to begin with an interview to set your life back on track instead begins in a universe that makes no sense, with rules you can't begin to understand? Maybe he should have paid more attention to the avatar creation screen ... Content warnings: All of them. Seriously. Expect lots of blue screens to begin with. Don't expect a power-leveling fantasy, in which the lone hero beats up all the bad guys, and gets a harem of women. There's just a guy who treats character creation like an annoying series of pop-up advertisements, and the story is basically the ramifications of that. The main character has to learn to take the world he's found himself in seriously, and he'll learn the way most of us do, by doing it wrong first. This is, insofar as it is successful, a dark comedy fantasy. Also a bit of horror, particularly but not exclusively body horror. I'm pretty sure I've earned those Content Warning tags, so, uh, yeah. This is practice. Hopefully things improve as I go, and figure out what I'm doing wrong, but I make no guarantees things will ever get better. I've already made mistakes, I'll make more, and I'm happy to notice them each time I make them. You don't improve unless you fail. (On the plus side, it probably won't get much worse.) Feel free to point out anything you think I'm doing wrong; I don't promise to change anything, particularly if it's a matter of taste, but I am looking to improve, and figuring out what I need to improve goes faster if I don't have to try to figure it out myself. I've updated the earlier chapters for formatting, in the hope that it would make everything easier to read on mobile devices. Hopefully things work slightly better now, but please let me know if there are any issues anywhere.
