Last time on Yugioh 5Ds Lost Memories! The Fortune Cup is finally over and Yusei is the champion which is awesome!! Yet some people don't seem too thrilled... Well then they can put a cork in it cause its final!! Anyways, we ran away from the hungry pack of wolves known as the media to the cowboy guy Blister's hideout. There we all talked about the Crimson Dragon and this dark evil force coming up. But later that night Yusei told me more of who I was, yet I'm starting to think that who I was then is gone. This is the new Cathy! Who just got stopped by someone calling themselves a Shadow Clone! Whatever that is...

I looked at mystery man who stopped me from getting to Yusei, and I just groaned. I looked into his eyes and felt nothing but evil and darkness... It was a bit suffocating yet I had to get pass this butt nugget to get to Yusei.

"Alright pal! I'll ask again! Who are you and what do you want?!" I questioned getting into a ready stance! Ready for what you may ask? Ready to beat this guy down if he tries anything, or ready to run like cheetah is he well, tries anything... Priorities!

The creepy hooded dude chuckled still raising his arm that glowed with the spider mark. "I'm a Shadow Drone sent here by my master to make sure insects like you don't interfere with his plans. Therefore I must take you out and feed your soul to the shadows!"

"Yeah... I'm just gonna call ya Hoodie." I said really confused on what the potatoes this guy was talking about. "Just let me pass, alright?!"

"I'm afraid that won't be possible, for if you want to see your friend you'll have to duel me first." Hoodie lifted his other arm as his duel disk started up and chuckled again.

It's a good thing I did bring my duel disk then! I slipped it on my arm while it turned on as well. "Fine bucko lets do this! 3..."

"2..." Hoodie grinned almost excitedly and I felt almost amusement in something that was going to happen.

"1!"

"Let's duel!!" We both shouted out, and as we said that something purple suddenly appeared and circled around us. I gasped and looked at it when it reminded me of flames, my eyes widened gripping my pendant immediately. "W- what's going o- on!!" I stuttered out fearful.

The flames seemed to grow higher when I started at them, they weren't a typical fire color I kept reminding myself, so I shouldn't be afraid of these! But they still circled me! "We are being offered to the light, and this ring of darkness will be the judgement of our fate!" He then laughed loudly and I closed my eyes trying to ignore what was around me.

"I can't do this..." I whispered as red and orange images flashed through my head. All this darkness surrounding me was showing me these images! I know it! But why? How can I duel if I'm afraid of this fake looking fire?!

"You already give up? I would think you would put up a better fight! I should've been the one to face the signer."

I suddenly opened at what he said. Yusei's facing on of these cloak guys too? Looking up to the building and through the parking garage opening at the top floor, I saw similar lights as the one around us through it. No... I can't freeze up like this. I have to get to Yusei.

Standing up straight I only looked ahead at Hoodie to ignore everything else. "I- I'm not out yet! Let's just duel!!"

"I'm going first." I announced drawing my card and looking at my cards in my shaky hand. I can't focus! No I have to try at least... Shaking my head I made my move. "I summon Moonlight Pegasus in attack mode!"

Moonlight Pegasus appeared in a bright light as he neighed loudly kicking upward to the sky. I then took two cards from my hand and placed them. "I set these cards facedown and end my turn."

Hoodie chuckled again and now that I listen more closely it sounds a little bit, staticy? I don't know it just sounded really off! "If that's all you got this will be an easy win. I summon Alien Kid in attack mode!" A small green Martian kid with a tiny yellow gun in his hands appeared as he growled. I don't think he came in peace though...

"I'll place three cards facedown, now Alien Kid attack her Pegasus!" The small alien child growled out as he shot a laser to Pegasus as he neighed loudly in pain when he was shattered and was destroyed then I felt that same pain again, but the laser beam kept going to me!

Panicking I immediately jumped out of the way in time while it grazed my upper arm! I cried out cause that searing pain felt so real on my arm. I kneeled to the ground hissing in pain holding my arm. I removed my hand to look at the wound that actually happened!

It was a small graze but my skin smoked from the laser and burned a little. I gasped when a sudden image flashed into my head. I was surrounded by orange and red fire now no longer purple as it looked like I was in building I could hear the cracks in the wood with the fire roaring!

My eyes closed as my breathing got heavier. I have to get out of here! Now!!

"Hahaha this energy ring will be the help to mine and my master's victory!" Shaking my head I stood back up and took a deep breath. I have to win! Can't let these nerves get to me.

"Are you done yet?!" I asked glaring at him when the vision cleared away. I drew my next card and growled in frustration. "Come on Cathy..." I saw a card in my hand and got an idea. That's it! "I summon Moonlight Prince in attack mode!"

Prince come into the area as he stood all high and proud. "I am here now my love." He said to me looking back and giving me a wink. I'm kinda getting used to this weird spirit of mine, doesn't mean I particularly like it though.

"Uhh... Thanks?" I cleared my throat and pointed at Hoodie. "I activate Prince's special ability! By sending a Moonlight monster from my deck to the graveyard, you're gonna get dealt with 500 points of damage! Go Moonlight Prince!"

The white haired male charged to Hoodie raising his blade and about to slash him. Till I heard him chuckle, "not so fast. I activate the trap card Fiendish Chain! This allows me to negate the effects of your monster and now he can't attack while this card is on the field!"

As the trap card rose up, dark chains came out of it and wrapped around Prince tightly. "Moonlight Prince are you okay?!" I called out worried when he came back to my side of the field.

He struggled against the chains groaning. "I can't move! I'd rather be wrapped by the chains of my love then this!"

Yeah he's fine.

"Fine then I'll end my turn..." I grumbled when Hoodie drew his card still smiling.

"Then I summon Alien Telepath in attack mode." A red weird snake like alien monster appeared as he hissed to me. "Now my Alien Kid first attack her Moonlight Prince!"

The small green kid pointed his gun at Prince and fired, "I activate my trap card Lunasphere! I'm protecting Moonlight Prince from your attack!" The shield came around him just as the attack was about to make contact but was blocked. Yet it bounced off the shield and came to me.

I moved away again as it the grazed my left cheek. I hissed at the burning sensation on my face panting and touching the wound.

"That might leave a scar..." I whispered till Hoodie spoke again.

"Doesn't matter, Alien Telepath will destroy your monster then!"

When I looked back at them with wide eyes, the red alien now placed his hands on its temple when all of a sudden telepathic waves came towards Prince and I! And as he was shattered the waves continued to me when I felt that pain in my chest and blasted me to against the wall of purple flames.

I cried out in pain and groaned falling to the floor. Hoodie laughed hard while I kneeled down feeling as though the flames were growing larger. "Give up and just accept the darkness. All light will be swallowed to the new world of shadows."

"A- accept the darkness?" I heard myself say but yet I couldn't focus on anything. It was as if my mouth moved on its own. I looked back at the cloaked man and stood up slowly still hunched over. "."

This time I heard a familiar second voice from myself as my body became unresponsive while I drew my next card starting my turn. No! Not you again! "Stay out of this...!" I grumbled this time still in control.

'!' The male voice said and I felt a nudge in my head.

"No! Whose fault is that anyways?! And I don't trust you!" I said to him looking at my hand. "I summon Butler of the Moon Kingdom in attack mode!"

The tall stoic came out and bowed a little. "Ready to serve mistress." I nodded in response.

"Good. Now Butler attack his Alien Kid! But he won't be the one being destroyed cause Butler gains 400 attack points when attacking a monster. Go!" I pointed at his little green man as Butler charged to him and reached into his jacket.

Alien Kid tried to shoot at him but he dodged and flipped over to go behind him and throw knives from his jacket that destroyed the small creature. The smokey flew back to Hoodie as he grunted a little.

Butler walked back to my side of the field and bowed a little. "Deed is done mistress."

I grinned happily and bounced a little. "Yes! Thanks Butler! I'll end my turn placing a facedown. Your move."

He just laughed, "you think you can delay the inevitable? Darkness will rise and destroy everything you know!" The creepy guy drew his next card and grinned, "this duel will be over soon! I activate my spell card, "A" Cell Recombination Device. By sending one Alien monster from my deck to the graveyard, I chose a monster on your field to get A- counters equal to the level of my monster I discarded."

"Wait! A- counters?!"

"Think of these as little alien eggs planted in your monster. And since I sent my level two Alien Grey, your Butler of the Moon Kingdom gains two A Counters!" Suddenly from his graveyard where he sent his card, two grey goop things attached themselves to Buttler as he cried out.

"Butler!" I called out.

"You should be more worried about yourself. I activate Alien Telepath's special ability now. By removing one A Counter from your monster I can destroy a face down from your field. I destroy the first one you put down!" One of the goop things attached to Butler detached and attacked one of my facedowns, causing it to be destroyed!

I tried to cover myself from the smoke groaning. '

"No!!"

"I'm afraid yes! But I'm not finished! I activate my next spell card, Mysterious Triangle! I can destroy one monster on your field with and A Counter. And since your Butler is the only monster you have, well then say goodbye." A wall in the formation of a triangle rose around Butler before enclosing him inside then dragging back into the ground with him inside. I could hear him crying out as he was pulled down till it was gone and my chest rose in pain.

I gasped and gripped my pendant. "But that's not all this card can do cause now I can special summon a level 4 Alien monster from my deck. I special summon Alien Warrior in attack mode." The same triangular walls rose on his side of the field and opened to reveal a humongous beast like alien that roared.

Standing up slowly and trying to focus I mumbled, "Come on Cathy get it together..." but Hoodie kept talking.

"He won't be sticking around though, when I sacrifice him and my Alien Telepath to summon the Dark Tuner Parasite!"

"Dark Tuner?!" I have never even heard of those cards!

Suddenly a long worm like creature with small legs appeared and was really ugly looking! He was a level 8 monster with 100 Attack points and 100 Defense points. "I'm now activating Call of The Haunted to bring forth my Alien Grey." A bug eyed grey alien came from the card. "However it's now for this world's light to be swallowed when I dark tune my Dark Tuner Parasite with my Alien Grey!"

Just as he announced that the stars of Alien grey turned black while its form disappeared as did the Parasite monster. "What's going on?!" I questioned. This was freaking me out!

"You'll see! For now I use negative energy to create a monster consumed by shadows, something light synchro monsters could never do. I'm summoning a negative level 6 monster."

"You can summon something like that?!" Is that even legal?! Probably not.

Hoodie rose the dark synchro card in the air and basically proclaimed to the sky, "when the shadows are devoured by even darker shadows. The curtain pulls back and reveals, a world without light!" The black stars circles do around before being connected by black lightning. "I call upon Alienation Motherbrain!!"

The wind picked up around us as I looked to see a what looked to be a large levitating disk like thing above in the sky. On top of it was a glass dome but a large purple brain was pulsing! "That thing is huge!!" I exclaimed!

Motherbrain is negative level 6 with 2600 attack points and 2000 defense points.

"Now my dark monster, attack her life points directly!!"

My eyes widened when a big cannon came from the ship and pointed straight to me and fired large red beam to me! It was too big for me to move out of the way and blasted me hard away.

I screamed hard when the whole force knocked me to against the wall of purple flames and I dropped to the floor on my stomach. I had my eyes closed and panted when the now orange flames came closer and stared at them.

This was it... I can't win... I can't get out. I'm never gonna see them again. My friends... I felt my world fading as the flames burned my skin yet it was numbing.

Should I let him? I can't do this alone... It might be too late now. These flames. I have no other choice. I was letting my vision go and accepting him to take control when he nudged my mind.

"Cathy! Cathy where are you?" Wait is that Yusei's voice?

I opened my eyes to see a shape within the orange flames. This memory. This moment, I know it. "Yusei..." I whispered seeing his figure get closer to me.

"Cathy?"

Groaning I tried to reach my hand out to him but everything hurt so badly. "Get up child. It is not you time to join the stars." I suddenly heard Artemis' voice now all around me. "Get up!"

I heard Hoodie's laughter as it got clearer and the flames were back to this purple energy ring. "Your soul will make a good sacrifice. You're finished."

"No..." I grumbled out when suddenly a familiar power surged though my body. Something I've felt before in the spirit world and Melody's and I's duel. "I'm not down yet." I began to get up as I was now on one knee. "I don't know who you are or who you work for, but I don't even care."

I opened my eyes and glared at this butt nugget in front of me, while the power grew. "You want powerful energy?! Well now you got it!" I yelled out standing up and drawing my card.

It seemed like he took a step back in surprise while looking at my cards, "I'm activating the field spell card Garden of the Moon Kingdom!" I played my field spell as the same flowers as always surrounded the inner circle side on my field and my outfit changed again to the same dress. I raised my hand to my last facedowns as it rose, "now I'm activating the field spell's effect, discarding a Moonlight monster from my hand, I'm summoning another that's a level four or below. Come on out Maid of the Moon Kingdom!"

A pale girl with brunette hair in a half up half down hairstyle and holding a closed eyes smile appeared. She wore a stereotypical long maid dress and bonnet and on her her dress was a crescent moon brooch with a teal gem, and her hands neatly folded in front of her bowing. "A pleasure to serve you my mistress. I will gladly take him out." She said in a sweet calm manner never opening her eyes. Maid is a level 3 tuner monster with 1500 attack points and 1400 defense.

"I'm not over yet. I'm now summoning Moonlight Ghost in attack mode!" I called out summoning the small girl apparition appeared. I can't summon Artemis but this will hurt! "Now I'm activating her ability! Tributing Moonlight Ghost I can destroy a monster on your field. And your Dark Synchro monster isn't sticking around! Go Ghost!"

Ghost flew up to Alienation Motherbrain and went right through inside it as it began blinking and shaking. Till a huge explosion erupted from it and covered everything in smoke.

"Oh yeah! So much for that Negative Energy stuff!" I cheered and was ready to tell Maid to attack Hoodie when all of a sudden the smoke cleared and he begun laughing.

"The shadows can never be destroyed that easily! Take a look!"

Looking up I gasped! You've gotta be kidding me?! Right there still in the sky was Alienation Motherbrain without even a scratch! "How is it still there?!"

He laughed louder and I saw Hoodie stretching his harms out. "By removing from play one Alien monster from my graveyard, my monster can't be destroyed by card effect!"

Great! Now what?! "I end my turn..." I grumbled looking at my cards.

"Do not give up my mistress. There is always another way." Maid said to me before turning her head slightly to look at me, I think she was looking at me but he eyes still were closed. "You have faced harder challenges before." Huh?

"It's time we end this. Motherbrain, finish her and her Maid!" Another beam blasted from the giant monster as it went straight for Maid and I.

"Not so fast you hooded weirdo! I'm activating my final facedown, Celestial Robe! Maid of the Moon Kingdom still counts as a Moonlight monster, and since she's being attacked I can negate it by halving my life points!"

Just as the beam almost made contact to Maid, a pink sheer robe came out and got in between her and the blast. While she still stood there looking calm while I'm still internally panicking!

"You've just held off the inevitable. I'm ending while placing a facedown."
