The steady breathing of his sleeping figure startled the raven haired boy; it was unfamiliar for someone to be laying so close to him.
Other than with Ava and Eli, Caiden wasn't one for cuddling. And he had remembered the two going to sleep in separate rooms.
Fluttering his eyes open, Caiden noticed Jake's sleeping form cuddled close to his chest, feeling a smile grace his lips.
Though he had been somewhat cautious of letting this whole thing blow up into flames, he wasn't about to run. For the first time in a long time, Caiden had felt something other than utter panic while around Jake.
Caiden reached for his bedside table, checking his phone; it was early, but a decent time to be awake. He was certain he could hear laughing coming from the kitchen down the stairs, but wasn't ready to rid away of the boy on top of him, just yet.
Maybe he would have noticed his boyfriend had woken up, had he not been in his head, but sudden cold kisses across his chest immediately brought him back to reality.
"If this is how I'll be waking up every morning, baby, I'm moving into your room at school," Caiden chuckled, pulling Jake up onto him, allowing the curly haired lad to straddle him.
Jake smiled, tilting his head with a raised brow, as if to say he would gladly accept it. "You're the first person who I can actually sleep with."
Caiden grinned at him, pulling him into a kiss, their bare chests rubbing against one another. The boys had to have known they were playing with fire, as they took the sex off the table. But, it was the thrill of knowing they had the effect on one another that had them work harder at teasing.
"Sounds like the others are cooking downstairs, angel. Wanna go down there?"
"I rather go down, here," Caiden muttered, earning him a playful slap on the wrist by the curly haired boy.
"We said-"
"I know, baby, but that doesn't mean you don't completely turn me on," Caiden had the hunger in his eyes, and Jake knew if he stayed even a second longer, the raven haired boy would have him in bed with the world knowing his name.
Taking the opportunity, Jake grabbed his toiletries, running towards the bathroom and locking it before Caiden could follow. Showering was exactly what he had needed, wanting to let go of all the sexual pent up desires he had throughout those few moments with Caiden.
He did something to him.
Knowing that Jake was probably going to follow up with the no sex deal the two had made, Caiden had entered the other shower, letting his hand do the work. Though, nothing compared to Jake's lips.

The two had walked in to the kitchen, each being handed a plate of eggs, pancakes, and toast that Eli had decided on cooking. Though usually the lot of friends went out for breakfast, Ava talked Eli's cooking up, which had the others in need of tasting it.
"Y'all were quiet last night. I expected an entire broadway musical," the curly haired lad had just swallowed some orange juice, listening to Kai speak.
Coughs and laughs sounded at once from Jake's mouth, choking from his friend's comment. Caiden reached out, patting his boyfriend's back, laughing out loud.
"Nah, he was too busy going over the equations and solutions to why the earth is round," Jenna shook her head, cutting up a piece of her pancakes.
Jake had finally calmed down, drinking from the water Taylor had given him.
Though, she, too, had an amused look on her face.
"We did get a whole choir tho; Bailey and Jenna... Wow," Landon muttered loud enough for everyone to hear. The others laughed, but the girls simply kissed as a response to the playful mocking.
The rest of the day had consisted of getting ready for the bonfire, heading to lunch at Gabby's where she met the two new friends joining the group, and cuddling and kissing between the couples. Kailey had called Hannah to see where she was and if she was going to join them for their little campfire. Hannah did respond with letting her know she would arrive a little before, and she was excited to see her and the others.
Landon felt something in his stomach; something was wrong and he could feel it. He wasn't sure if it was due to this Hannah girl showing up or if something was about to go wrong. Either way, he pulled Caiden and Jake aside to warn the two.
It was when the two were left alone, that Caiden's face was full of worry. The raven haired boy had been laying on his boyfriend's lap in the forest, over thinking with his mind running through wildfire. Every possible scenario that could break him and Jake up was dripping through his brain, causing his heart rate to speed.
Jake could tell something was up with Caiden, as he played with his hair. The look of serenity and relaxation was long gone, and his eyes were dark with confusion and apprehension.
"Angel, talk to me," Jake looked into deep chocolate brown eyes.
"What if this Hannah girl is somehow related to Evan and what if this is their way of hurting Eli and Ava... What if they take you-"
"That won't happen, angel. I won't let it. I may be book smart and a tad slow, but I'm also strong and determined on staying by your side for as long as you want me," the curly haired lad leaned down to kiss his forehead.

"Just stay close to me, my hero," the raven haired boy pulled him even lower, kissing his lips.
"I wouldn't have it any other way, angel," he responded to the kiss with a smile, taking the raven haired lad's bottom lip into his teeth, teasing him a bit.

Trays of food and drinks were carried out towards the forest by everyone within the vicinity. Jake had his left hand occupied by a very clingy raven haired lad, holding him close. It wasn't like Jake had a single issue with the close proximity the two had; he enjoyed every second of it.
Hannah had arrived, taking a seat on one of the logs beside Kailey, while her sister and Jenna sat next to them. Ava had Taylor beside her, with their hands interlocked, and Jake made a mental note to ask her for the details once the two had a moment to talk. Eli, naturally, sat beside Mike who was still somewhat shy around him. Then there was Kai and Landon who were on the log over, and Jake and Caiden had sat across from Kailey and Hannah.
The fire flew towards the sky, growing every second. Jake could feel a hint of a blush on his golden cheeks, remembering what Caiden had told him, the last time he had sat with him while looking at the flames.
Caiden, likewise, had his heart beating like drums awaiting war, as he took a look at the full moon right above them.
"Wasn't it a full moon the night of Halley's party?" Caiden recalled, his hands roaming Jake's thighs; not traveling too high up.
"And the night of Taylor's," Jake chuckled, nodding at the boy beside him.
"It follows us."
"It represents mystery and sensuality, so it makes sense that it does."
An hour passed, and the lot of friends were full, happy, drinking, and singing along to whatever song they could think of. Ava joined in on picking the songs, singing a random High School Musical song duet with Taylor, earning a laughter from the others.
Eli and Mike did a drunken duet on their own of some song from Legally Blonde the Musical, as they had a bit too many beers and mixed some other drinks into it.
The others randomly created their own mashups, which had sounded pretty good. Landon took it upon himself to record the entire thing, as to show the drunken couples what they had looked like the next day, when they were all hungover.
Several minutes later, the friends began dispersing into the lake house, leaving Jake and Caiden alone. The two were in a comfortable silence, leaning in for random kisses and touches here and there.
"I should go in for a moment; I have to pee. I'll be back, I promise," Jake ran towards the house, as Caiden waited alone by the fire.
He wasn't one to leave Jake alone, especially after he voiced his fears, but he knew the others were still in the area, so he wasn't fully by himself.
Waiting about ten minutes, Caiden sighed, getting up with the thought that one of the friends had stopped Jake for a small chat, so he hadn't made it back yet. Caiden took a deep breath, heading inside, seeing everyone pretty much around the house. He began searching every room, bathroom, area, and that's when his phone beeped.
It was Jake.
"TAYLOR!" Caiden had not yelled for anyone with such desperation before.
Taylor was half dressed, when she made her way down the stairs to a sick looking Caiden; his eyes were bloodshot, fighting back tears and his heart was shattered on the floor like glass. And like glass, he was not about to touch it in fear of hurting himself more.
"What's wrong?" Ava came running behind, dressed in pajamas.
Ava called for Eli to come, and the others joined in, as well. Worrying faces had to stay strong for Caiden, though inside, they had been crying and screaming.
"Jake is in trouble-"
"He probably went to visit-"
"Read the text. Damn it, Tay," Caiden pulled on his own locks in frustration.
How was he supposed to survive this world without Jake Hart?
A picture of a blindfolded and tied up Jake with a smirking Evan had been pictured, with the words 'Just sign, bring the money, and he's all yours.'
He didn't think twice; Caiden called the one number that checked up one him, monthly. This was not something he was used to. Asking for help showed a sign of weakness, but for Jake he would do anything and everything.
"Mr. Lee speaking," Noah answered his phone, his eyes fixated on the email he had been writing.
"Help me," Caiden broke down, his knees giving in, with tears pooling around him.
"Don't turn off your device; I will be there, soon," Noah worded, closing the computer, the email forgotten. Slipping on his black blazer, Noah made his way towards the exit of his office.
He took a look to his left, as he continued out the glass, double doors, letting his secretary know he would need her to cancel all meetings until further notice.
She nodded in understanding, opening up Noah's calendar to call and cancel any event being held or planned.
"Sir, the tracker turned on," she called as he was entering the elevator.
"Thank you, Adriana. Perfect timing," this was going to be a long weekend ahead of him, but it had to be taken care of.
