As he had promised, Jake had woken up at six in the morning to meet with the professors he had been avoiding for about three weeks. They allowed him to do make up work for credit, to raise his grades to where they rightfully belonged.

Mr. Grace was especially worried, as Jake had always been his star student, but understood that life threw him a curveball. It's not like Jake had told him exact details, only that things got difficult and it became almost impossible for him to focus on his studies.

At around seven thirty that morning, Jake got a good morning text from the one person he had dreamt of all night.

He wasn't used to this; the good morning texts, the constant buzzing in his stomach full of swarming rainbow butterflies, the feeling of something utterly beautiful.

Jake stared at the 'Good morning, my hero.' text for what felt like hours, but was truly about several seconds.

How did this go?

Was flirting allowed this early in the morning?

How can he get his heart to stop racing itself into oblivion?

Once calming himself, Jake responded with a 'good morning, angel. Sleep well?' unsure if that was too much, or just enough.

He awaited the reply, but laid his back on his bed, looking up at the ceiling. The prior night had been difficult for him, as Caiden didn't come by. The no sex rule for three days could probably kill him, but he knew it was only for the best.

Caiden could feel every ounce of his body on fire with pure joy, reading the text Jake had replied with. This whole boyfriend thing was not something he knew how to handle; he wasn't in control of something and that scared him.

He was always the one in charge; sexually, playfully, or even just with his friends. Unless, Ava began scolding him; at that point he was in trouble.

'I slept well, baby, and you?' Jake read the response, letting a small giggle of happiness escape his lips.

'Yeah, angel. I'm excited to spend this weekend with you.' Jake sent back, and before he could close the messaging app, a reply came in.

'It'll be fun. I can't wait to take you out on that date.' Caiden replied, feeling eyes on him; Landon's amused expression hadd Caiden roll his eyes, shyly.

'I'll be taking you out, angel. You don't know where anything is.' Jake scoffed, though no one was around to hear him.

'We'll see about that.' Caiden responded and with that, told Jake he had to get ready, so the conversation came to a few minute halt, before the two began once more.

Landon knew how Caiden and Jake must have been feeling. This new and exciting step in their relationship was fun and when Jake had told him they won't be sleeping together until after their date, Landon was almost certain the two would break their rule.

"Where are your books?" Taylor teased, her back against her car, waiting for the others to join the parking lot.

"Left them behind, this time. I have until Thursday for the projects I have to make up, so I'll do them when we get back." Jake knew she had been playing around, but he responded honestly.

"I'm proud of you, J."

Jake nodded, pulling her into a tight hug.

"Thanks for kicking my ass when I need it, Tay. And thank you for being you. I'm so glad I have you in my life."

"You know Logan and Sophia are proud of you, J," she hugged back just as tight.

"Yeah, I know. I miss them."

"Wanna go see them this week?" the two pulled apart, smiling at each other.

"I was thinking of asking Caiden to go with me, but I don't know if that's weird."

"Why would it be weird to take your boyfriend to your parents?"

"I don't know. I guess it isn't."

"Nope, Jake. It isn't." the long haired brunette hugged him again, which he responded to happily.

Jenna, the twins, and Mike walked through the double doors and towards the cars, together, greeting Jake and Taylor.

"Yo, how are we gonna fit all of us in the house?" Mike randomly questioned, standing by Taylor.

"Some can sleep in the theater," Taylor and Jake replied in unison.

A laugh sounded from the lot of friends, as the others slowly made their way to the parking lot. A rare sight came into view as a shy Ava said hi to Taylor, and Eli greeted Mike. Taylor responded by pulling her into a hug, while Mike awkwardly high fived Eli.

Once Kai and Landon stood by the cars, Caiden was the last through the glass doors; Jake could feel his heart knocking against his chest, begging to jump into Caiden's body. Caiden knew the two were being watched and admired by their friends, and that only gave him more fuel to give them a show.

Jake watched as the raven haired lad brushed his hair back, swaying his hips towards him. This could be the death Jake Hart.

"Good morning, my hero," Caiden worded, low enough for only Jake's hearing. Caiden leaned in for a kiss, leaving Jake with palpitations.

"Good morning, angel," he spoke quietly, as well, his cheeks flushed with red heat.

Cheers sounded from the group of friends, after the initial shock from some of them wore of.

"I'll drive this time, Lan," Jake told his friend, knowing he was about to request his car keys. Landon nodded in response.

"Surely, your boyfriend is riding your car with you," Taylor had a mischievous look on her face, as she said the word boyfriend.

"Absolutely," Caiden replied instantly.

"Kai and I can ride with Jake; the twins and Jenna can go with you, and Mike and Eli can go in Mike's car. What do you think?" Landon suggested to Taylor.

"Fine by me," Taylor shrugged.

"Sounds good," Mike nodded, and the others agreed.

"I hate that you're all paired up and I'm alone," Kailey spoke to no one in particular; her voice low.

"I mean you have your mirror," her sister muttered, but Kailey heard her.

"What happened to that person you went on a couple of dates with? Hannah or something?" Jake put the last bag in the trunk, as they began piling into the cars.

"She's busy tonight; she has her brother's birthday," Kailey reponded, as she did invite her originally.

"Invite her to meet us tomorrow; she can join us for the bonfire," Kai proposed.

Kailey smiled at her friend, thanking him for the suggestion, before texting the girl she liked. Hannah wasn't someone new to the friend group, but she wasn't someone they hung out with either. She had been kicked out of her house a few months before she got accepted to Brandon University once her parents found out she was more into girls than they had approved of.

She was shy and had sat with them a few times while they were in the courtyard or just by the park, but she didn't click full with some of them; Landon in particular. There was a very big separation between the two, and it was evident that Landon didn't like her.

The drive was different this time around, with Caiden in the car. It didn't involve sexual tension and frustration, or eyes full of lust. The ride consisted laughter, and singing along to whatever song played on Kai's playlist, as he proclaimed himself music whisperer.

"What do you know about that Hannah girl?" Caiden asked, at random, while the eleven friends took a stop halfway through for some coffee and breakfast.

"I know Landon doesn't like her," Jake replied, taking a sip of his iced coffee, with the raven haired lad beside him.

"After Nick and Evan, I don't know, I don't trust anyone, you know?" Caiden took a sip of his hot beverage, his free hand locked with his boyfriend's.

"I know, angel; the only person who I think would be able to do background checks would be Noah, with everything you've told me," Jake had his legs on Caiden's right thigh, while the others conversed with one another.

Caiden wondered if this is how it would always be? Would they feel the constant sparks and fire within them every moment they were together? Would it ever fade?

"No, angel, it won't just go away," Jake pulled Caiden in for a short, sweet kiss.

"I thought out loud?" The raven haired boy chuckled into the kiss, earning him a nod.

Caiden could feel his mind begin to argue with him on whether calling and involving his so called dad would do any good; it's not like the man cared at all for him, showing up twenty years later and only throwing money his way.

Jake hadn't felt this before; the immediate void when Caiden had separated their hands, or the sudden feeling of being lost when the raven haired lad turned his head for less than a second. It was new territory he feared, crossing the line between loving and being obsessed with someone.

But the truth was, Jake Hart had crossed that line so long ago, that he couldn't see himself without Caiden Lee.

The sight before the newcomers had them in utter amazement as they took it all in. Caiden couldn't help but laugh remembering the last time he had been there, in pure awe of what he had gotten himself into.

Mostly about Jake, of course.

"Who is taking the theater?" Taylor called, once she began unpacking her things. Ava followed the brunette up the stairs and the to the right.

"You have a theater?!" Caiden raised a brow, amused at the fact that Jake had left that part out the first time he had been invited.

Jake simply nodded, leading the way to his room with Caiden right behind him. "You truly thought we'd be sitting by the couches for the movie?"

"I mean, yeah, that's what us normal humans do," Caiden laughed, closing the door behind them. "Also, where is it?"

"We aren't normal, angel," Jake pulled him into a kiss, smiling pathetically into it, "In the basement, of course."

"Of course," the raven haired lad imitated, playfully.

Jake fell back onto the bed, as the two let their lips move in sync with every emotion they had felt. Caiden climbed beside him, his hands caressing the curly haired lad's face. This kiss had been different, loving. It hadn't consisted of moans and sounds, but with laughs and giggles.

Mike and Eli had decided to take the theater, and began flipping through some movies, as they got settled in their makeshift room. Eli could feel his heart speeding up being so close to the brown eyed boy. His heart was racing in circles, running track for a team unknown.

The theater was dark with black walls. The screen was huge, fitting the entire wall with fifteen chairs facing it. The black couch chairs all reclined, and had cup holders. The remote for the theater included regular movies, as well as Netflix. The stairs lit up on the sides like a regular movie theater, and each row had a letter and seat number.

"Avengers?" Mike suggested, leaning his head closer to the shy boy sitting beside him.

"Sure, love," Eli heard himself answer, instantly regretting it.

But before Eli could begin an inner war, a grin graced Mike's face, placing his hand on the other boy's.

"Ava won the toss up!" Bailey shouted to the others, as they carried over the snacks, drinks, and random foods they had ordered.

"What shall it be, my lady?" Taylor accentuated her british accent, handing Ava the list of movies Jake and her have accumulated throughout the years.

"10 Things I Hate About You, babe," the pink haired girl answered, scanning the sheet of paper for less than a minute.

"Approved," Landon laughed, going to the back of the theater, to put the DVD in the slot.

"Who got second?" Kai questioned, knowing they never watched just one movie on their nights in the theater.

Jake raised his hand, choosing Game Night, and third place, which happened to be Eli decided fourth place can choose, as he was very undecided. Jenna had beat the others to fourth and chose Love Simon.

"How about we do Love Simon in between both so we end the night on a high?" Caiden proposed, which the lot of friends concurred.

Movie after movie, the eleven friends laughed, cried, joked, sang along, and even mimicked each word only to laugh some more. From Chinese to junk food to pizza, they tasted a bit of everything while adding some beer to the mix. Jake stuck to his two beer rule, as Caiden made sure of it.

Caiden had Jake practically on his lap throughout watching the films, randomly kissing him and holding him closer each second.

Jake Hart had become Caiden Lee's one source of oxygen.

At the end of Game Night, the lot had been tired and ready to disperse to their own directions. As Mike and Eli had the theater as their room, they found their way to the back of the theater, where the couch was most comfortable. It opened up to a bed, and could fit the both of them.

Caiden laced his fingers with Jake's heading up the stairs and all the way to the left, opening their shared room's door. Jake felt the fire within his veins ignite, slipping off his clothes, leaving his boxers on. Caiden stripped his clothes off, as well, his body still covered in the scratches Jake had left a few days before.

The tattooed boy's body matched the scratches with the bruises given to him by the raven haired lad. This would be the first time in quite a while that two would be in bed together, resisting one another.

Jake laid his back on the shared bed with Caiden right beside him. The two shared a look before leaning in at once for a kiss.

"I should really worry about what you do to my heart," Caiden managed to voice, panting breathlessly, as the two pulled apart.

"I should really worry about what you do to mine, angel," Jake cuddled himself into his boyfriend, laying his head on his chest, as the raven haired lad played with his curls.

Jake could feel himself falling to the dream state, and kissed Caiden's chest, aiming for where his heart is.

"I love you, Jake Hart," Caiden said, mostly to himself, as the boy in his arms had already fallen asleep.
