《AMAYA》𝙽𝙸𝙽𝙴𝚃𝙴𝙴𝙽

The one time Amaya decided to visit the Bayou with Hayley someone had to blow up the place.
Millions of things were running through Amaya's head but that was the main one as she lay on the floor in the bayou after the first explosion went off.
''Amaya, are you ok?'' Amaya heard Jackson's muffled voice ask from beside her as her ears were still ringing.
But she didn't answer when she spotted a child standing over who Maya assumed to be his father.
She stumbled over to the crying boy and picked him up as she looked around at the damage done in the bayou.
''Jackson.'' She yelled for Jackson as he came stumbling over with Hayley by his side. ''Here, Get him away from here,'' Amaya said and handed him the little boy.
''Come on,'' Jackson said to the little boy before walking away.
''Amaya, Hayley.'' Called out Elijah as he came racing over to the girls.
''Elijah,'' Hayley said as she sighed in relief.
The three of them bent down to the body of an injured wolf. Elijah lifted his shirt to find his skin sizzling.
''Wolfsbane,'' Elijah said.
''It must have been in the gas tank,'' Hayley said. ''Your the fastest. Take him, anyone, who can't walk in the barn.''
Once Elijah picked up the man he looked at Amaya who seemed to be in a daze with worry.
''It's ok, Elijah. I'm fine.'' She said when she caught him staring at her. ''They need your help.'' She pointed to the man in Elijah's arms.
When Maya saw Hayley leaving the bayou she followed after her before she sped in front of her.
''Where are you going,'' Amaya asked making Hayley jump at point a tree branch at her.
''You scared me.'' She said making Maya shrug. ''I'm going to see Marcel.''
Nodding her head in approval Maya said ''Great let's go.'' before walking off in the direction of the car. ''Your driving tho.''
''You're not gonna stop me?'' Hayley asked in shock.
Chuckling Maya said ''Hell no. I want to ask Marcel why he did this just as much as you do so let's go.''

Halfway there Hayley picked up her phone and dialled Elijah's number. Amaya didn't pay much attention to the conversation but when Hayley hung up Maya turned to her and said ''What did he say.''
''Nothing much. He did ask if you were ok tho.'' Hayley said as they pulled into a bar where they knew Marcel's vampires were staying.
''You done got some nerve coming up in here, mama,'' Diego said and Maya shuddered in disgust at the nickname.
Hayley walked up to Diego and pushed him off his chair making all the vampires stand up. When one of the vampires took a step toward Hayley, Amaya let her claws come and laid them on their shoulders.
''Try it, I dare you.'' She whispered in their ear making them quickly move away from Hayley.
''Someone attacked my pack in the bayou this morning'' Hayley said as she stabbed Diego. ''And since I don't see genius mastermind types around here.'' She turned back to Diego and shoved the stake deeper into his chest making him release a groan. ''Why don't you just tell me where Marcel is and we can both get on with our day.'' When she received no answer from Diego she turned to Amaya who looked at her with a smirk knowing exactly what she wanted her to do.
She walked up to Diego who had been released from Hayley's hold.
When she reached him she roughly grabbed him and kneed him where the sun don't shine. ''I know you take vervain so I can't compel you. But that doesn't mean that I can't torture you in front of all of your mates.'' With a wave of her hand, Diego was on the floor with a pained yell as every one of his bones snapped.
''Right now, you're feeling how it is for a werewolf to transition every full moon. It's painful isn't it?'' Amaya sadistically smirked as everyone in the bar looked at her in fear.
''How about we take this up a level.'' She then recreated the feeling of Diego's heart being ripped out over and over again.
''There were families out there. Innocent kids. How are you protecting him? So any kids could have lost their parents. So why don't you just tell us where Marcel is so justice can be served.'' Amaya said as she watched Diego's pained state.

''He used to keep a place 1917 Rampart,'' Diego mumbled.
Bending down to his Amaya said ''I'm so sorry. But I can't hear you.''
''1917 Rampart.'' Diego mustered enough strength to say.
''Mhmm thank you so very much,'' Maya said sweetly before snapping his neck and letting him drop to the floor.
Turning to look at the vampires Amaya said ''Hope you enjoy the rest of your day.'' before walking out with Hayley.
Once in the car, Hayley turned to Amaya with nothing but awe on her features and said ''That was amazing.''
*****
Hayley and Amaya walked up to their destination as Maya spoke to Klaus on the phone.
''Klaus, where are you?'' She asked they looked around.
''I'm in a bit of a situation here, love.''
''Somebody sent a suicide bomber out to the bayou this morning.''
''What? Where are you?''
''I'm in the city with Hayley. We're fine. She figured an attack like that must have been Marcel. He's hated the wolves for years, and after that stunt with he pulled witches, so we tracked him down. We just thought you might like to help kick his ass. For trying to blow us to kingdom come.''
''Hey, listen I assure you once I am finished here, you will have my undivided attention. In the meantime please stay out of trouble.''
''Well, you may be a little too late for that. '' Amaya said before hanging up on Klaus.
''Come on in,'' Marcel said as he turned around to face Maya and Hayley. ''Have a seat.''
''Don't mind if I do,'' Amya said as she walked to the couch.
''Maya,'' Hayley whispered harshly thinking it was no point because Marcel could still hear her.
''What my feet hurt.'' Maya shrugged when he saw the look Hayley was giving her.
''Sweet pad,'' Hayley said as she walked further into the room.
''Oh, it's just temporary. A friend hooked me up. Believe it or not, I still got a few of those kicking around. I need friends to keep me informed. To warn me when someone is coming. Looking to blame me for things. That I didn't do.''
''Meh wouldn't put it past you. These days you've been acting a little more crazy than usual. Such as being the reasing why I got trampled at the Fêtes Des Bénédictions.'' Amaya said from her spot on the couch.
''Believe it or not, you were never supposed to get hurt,'' Marcel said. ''And for the record, you didn't have to work Diego like that.''
Turning back to Hayley he said ''You and I are long overdue for a chat.''
The rest of the conversation was blocked out by Amaya who was on her phone playing candy crush.
''Amaya'' Hayley said making Maya look at her.
''We're leaving. Come on.'' Hayley said and turned around to leave.
''Bye Marcy,'' Maya said before she left.
''Wait,'' Marcel called out stopping the both of them. ''Guy on the bike, the bomber, the word is he had a gambling problem, owed money to the casinos, more importantly to the humans who run them. And, Hayley when things get bad, remember, I tried to get you clear of it... again.''
*****
When Maya and Hayley got back to the Bayou they found Oliver giving a speech to the wolfs.
''What is going on? What is he doing?'' Hayley asked Elijah.
''He's making a move for power in the wake of tragedy. He's not alone. There was another attack after the both of you left.'' Elijah said.
''What?'' Maya said in shock.
''Is everyone ok?'' Hayley asked Elijah.
''For the most part. But Eve...'' Elijah's hesitance gave Maya and Hayley the answer they needed.
''She didn't make it did she,'' Maya asked though she already knew the answer.
''Unfortunately-'' Hayley didn't wait for an answer before she was running to the cabin leaving Amaya and Elijah to watch her.

Tales From the Terran Republic
We tried, you know… We really did. We tried so hard to be… better… We actually were better once. No, seriously. We were enlightened, generous, peaceful… Stop laughing! We were! We were peaceful, dammit! No, I’m not “tugging your winglets.” It’s true! Look, if you’re going to be like that, I’ll just push the launch button right now. See ya, don’t wanna be… Oh, you ARE interested after all? Ok. Hey, I just got word that your captain will be ok. We were able to get him into a med pod quick enough… Of course, we tried to save him. Just what sort of people do you think we are?... Now that was harsh… completely accurate, mind you… but harsh. Anyway, like I was saying, we were a prosperous, peaceful people, and war had been nothing but a distant memory for over five hundred years before it happened... Before Yellowstone happened! You don’t mean to tell me that you didn’t know about that… massive supervolcano? Blew the Hell out of our planet? Two years where nothing grew?… Anyway, that’s what started it, the Sol Wars… Oh, you have heard about those, huh? Well, needless to say, all that enlightened, generous, and peaceful didn’t exactly make it through the two years of complete famine and the wars that followed… Maybe it’s more accurate to say the enlightened, generous, and peaceful among us didn’t survive… (laughs)… You’re right. It does explain a lot, doesn’t it? Probably for the best, though. “Enlightened” and “peaceful” aren’t really all that useful out here in the galaxy at large, are they? That reminds me; thanks for the ship. You guys did a great job with this one. Oh, don’t be like that. At least it was us what got you and not one of the really messed groups like the Harlequin or the Black Angels. We’re just going to take your shit. It could be worse… trust me... Well, anyway, we loaded the life pods down with some good food, and you guys can drink alcohol, right? We put in a couple of fifths in there, too. It’s about forty percent ethanol, so be warned. Most species will want to dilute that. We’ll drop your wounded off somewhere safe once they are stable. Your fleet patrols this area fairly regularly, and we’ll drop the distress beacon right before we jump… Well, It’s been fun and no hard feelings, right?… Oh, you want to know some more? Sure. I got time to kill… Let me tell you about this one pirate and her crew. They’re Terran scum, but they are still… Why do we hate the Terrans? Hoo Boy… How much time you got? *** It’s the thirty-second century, and humanity is now part of a galactic civilization comprised of hundreds of worlds. Humanity has been savaged by natural disaster and war and has been fractured into several separate populations, all of which loathe each other (some things never change). This is a gritty drama-driven rambling tale that swings between action, drama, horror, and plenty of very, very dark comedy. Warning: contains adult situations, absolutely horrible language, bathroom humor, implied ultra-violence, actual ultra-violence, drugs, alcohol, pirates, mercs, xeno prostitutes, moral ambiguity, deranged AI's with identity issues, giant commie space slugs, and a poor little frog girl who just wants to sell coffee. Updates twice weekly on Tuesday and Friday. *** Note: This story can get rough. Those warning tags? They aren't for show. I recently received a review and as a result I want to make one thing clear. Portraying something is NOT endorsing it! Many "heavy" topics are touched upon and just because a character says or does something does not imply that the author feels the same way. I selected the "Anti-Hero Lead" and "Villainous Lead" tags for a reason. Rule number one of this story is "no good guys". A good description of the story is, "bad people doing bad things to worse people". There are a few good characters, here and there, but they are the exception to the rule. If you want a hard-hitting, exciting, gritty sci-fi story that doesn't pull any punches, or shies away from "difficult" concepts, welcome! If you are set on a pure and noble knight that runs around and slays conveniently evil monsters and rescues totally innocent princesses... or your sensibilities are easily offended... You're not going to be happy with this one.
