Maya felt like she couldn't catch a break. First, she was getting trampled, then she was caught in a bombing and now she feels like she dying.
''Seems rather uncivilized. To laugh and Dance around the body of a loved one.'' Klaus sulked.
''Tell me about it. If I ever die don't throw me a party. I want everybody to be crying.'' Amaya said as she sat beside Klaus and Hayley sat beside Elijah.
''I will warn the both of you, Niklaus is in a spectacularly foul mood today,'' Elijah smirked.
''Sod off.'' Klaus glared at him.
''What's the deal with these moonlight rings?'' Hayley said as she leaned toward Klaus. ''Oliver's trying to start a revolution every five seconds. People are scared, angry and, frankly, I'm tired of stalling.''
''it's a day of peace, Hayley. Try and enjoy it.'' Klaus said. ''In the meantime with all manner of unknown enemies conspiring against our family, you'll stop going to the bayou,'' Klaus said as he looked at Amaya.
''Awesome,'' Maya said dully making Klaus look at her in confusion.
''What's going with you.'' He asked Maya who groaned.
''I feel like I'm dying.'' She said then repeatedly slammed her head on the table making Klaus his hand under her head.
''The rings are in progress. I will live up to my word. We will find and punish whoever launched the attack on the bayou. And you will stop going to the bayou. For your safety.'' Grabbing the bottle Klaus said ''But right now, I'm gonna finish this bottle and the next in the hopes of drowning the demon that has chosen today to haunt me.
Cheers, Mikael. Impeccable freudian timing. ''
''Elaborate,'' Elijah said as he looked at Klaus in shock. ''Have you dreamt of our father?''
''Go ahead. Have a good laugh.''
''I can assure you there isn't a piece of this that I find even remotely amusing, Niklaus. Especially considering I've been dreaming of him, too.''
Looking at Elijah, Klaus said ''What.''
''If you are also seeing him.'' Elijah stopped and looked towards Genevieve who just walked into Rousseau's. ''Perhaps our elusive, unknown enemy is orchestrating a further attack.''
''Well, then what better way to punctuate a day of peace than by killing someone,'' Klaus said as he raised his hand to wave at Geneveve making Maya roll her eyes.

Amaya, Klaus, Hayley and Elijah all walked amongst other people in the french quarter for Father Kieran's wake.
Amaya let out another cough making Klaus snap his head towards her.

''You all right? You look-
''A hundred months pregnant and pissed off at the world?'' Maya said as she cleared her throat.
''I was going to say you look lovely,'' Klaus said as he smirked at her.
''Flattery will get you nowhere, Niklaus.''
''We'll see about that, Love.''
''Do you think I was the target of those bombings?'' Hayley suddenly asked.
''Of course, you were the target. Was I to wage a war on the wolves, you'd be my first kill. I would string you up for all your worshipers to see.'' Klaus said as he let a light smirk slip on his features.
''I believe that was my brother's way of telling you he's like you to return home with us. Perhaps try a different approach, Niklaus. With fewer references to murder.''
''As much as I would hate to throw you over my shoulder and drag you kicking and screaming to the compound, we both know I will for the sake of your safety,'' Klaus said.
At Klaus's words, Hayley rolled her eyes before dragging Amaya with her to talk to Camille.
''Cami,'' Hayley called out as Amaya cleared her throat.
''Hayley, Hi,'' Cami said.
''HI. I know you don't know me. I just want to say that I'm sorry bout your uncle. He was good to people like me. During the storm, and I appreciated that.'' Hayley said.
''Thank you.'' Turning to face her Cami asked ''You want something don't you?''
Slightly wincing Hayley said ''I'm sorry about the timing. I was just wondering if before he died, he said anything weird about Francesca Correa. I think that she may have been involved in an attack on the bayou. If you hear anything-
As Hayley and Cami Maya somehow found herself leaning on a poll coughing up blood. She tried looking around to see if she could find Klaus but she didn't have enough time before she collapsed on the floor.
The last thing she heard was Klaus calling her name.
*****
Amaya gasped awake as she sat up on the table in the compound.
She quickly backed away and got off the table when she spotted Mikael walking in.
''Mikael.'' Maya backed up in fear as Mikael walked towards her. There were a few people who Maya feared one of them being Mikeal Mikaelson. ''This is a nightmare. I'm dreaming.''
''On the contrary, my daughter. This is very real.'' He then sped to Maya who tried to use her magic and held her in a chokehold. ''Welcome to my hell. Stuck in an eternity of watching over that hideous creature my children call brother.''

''You're dead. Why am I here?'' Maya said as she struggled in Mikael's arms. She was growing weaker. Gasping in realization Maya yelled ''Oh my gosh. No! No! The baby!''
Maya yelled out as Mikael tightened his hold on her ''The baby? That kid never had a chance! And as if your bloodline isn't filthy enough, you poison it by merging it with Klaus's?'' Laughing sadistically as Maya trashed in his arms he said ''The deathless vermin fancying himself a daddy.''
Mustering up as much strength as she could Amaya broke out of Mikael's hold and broke his arm making him yell out. She then picked up a pole from beside her and used it to knock Mikael across the face.
Her eyes glowed their tribrid colour as she said ''She's not dead. If she was dead you wouldn't be trying to kill me.''
''Your dead Mikael. Klaus already beat you.'' Maya said as she stood face to face with Mikael.
''He is not my son!" Mikael yelled. ''He's a scourge, a walking symbol of weakness.''
''He was able to survive years of your abuse. That does not make him weak.'' Maya said as she backed away from him.
She turned around and broke off the wood from the railing as Mikael said ''There is no saving that atrocity festering in your womb. Klaus will destroy it one way or another. Better he dies now and you along with it.''
Mikael jumped behind Maya who stood on the second floor. She jumped over the railing as Mikael followed suit before running behind him and stabbing him in the back with the piece of wood.
He yelled out in pain and fell to his knees making Maya bend down to his level to whisper in his ear. ''My daughter has an advantage Klaus never had. She will never, know you.''
Amaya gasped awake and found herself laying on the same table that was before with blood all over her. She felt Klaus rush to her side and help her sit up.
''You're all right, love. You're all right.'' Klaus reassured her.
''I saw him, I saw Mikael, and he tried to kill'' Amaya said as her terrified eyes met Klaus's worried ones.
*****
Later that day Maya was sitting in the room in the compound staring at the wall when Klaus walked in.
''You've proved quite resilient, little dove,'' Klaus said as he walked deeper into the room. "Fighters, both of you.''
''Always had to be. Especially lately.'' Maya said as she looked at Klaus. ''What happens after she's born? If you try to take her away from me I-
''Come with me, hmm?'' Klaus interrupted as he held his hand out for her to take. ''Please. I want to show you something.''
She reluctantly grabbed his hand before he led her to a beautiful nursery.
''Though we may fight and have our ups and downs, I am really happy that you're the one pregnant with my child,'' Klaus admitted. ''Our daughter should be raised by her parents. In her family home.''
''All of us under one roof. Sounds like a bad reality show.'' Maya smiled as Klaus chuckled.
''You said you saw my father,'' Klaus said.
''Why do you still call him that? After all these years.'' Amaya asked.
''He's done damage only a father could do'' Looking at her worriedly he asked ''What did he say to you?''
''Nothing true.'' She lightly smiled.
After a long silence between the two Klaus said ''Amaya.''
She hummed as she turned to look at him curious glint in her eye.
Mustering the courage to say this Klaus said ''I love you. And I-
''Klaus.'' Maya sighed but Klaus stopped her from talking.
''You have to hear me say this.'' He went forward and grabbed her hands. ''And I know you're an original and you cannot die but after today I have never felt so scared to live a life without you in it. I knew I hurt you 30 years ago and with Genevieve and I'm sorry. I thought that if I distracted myself with Genevieve then I wouldn't have to face how I felt about you losing the baby because of my treachery. I do still love you Amaya and I hope that one day we could rekindle our love.''
By now both of them had tears running down their faces at Klaus's words.
''Klaus, I-I don't know what you want me to say,'' Maya said as she stared into Klaus's eyes.
She knew she still loved Klaus and she so badly wanted to say it back. But she couldn't bring herself to say it. She was scared that if she did say it back everything would come crashing down so she didn't. She just kept it to herself.
''It's ok. You don't have to say anything just yet.'' He said as he wiped the tears off her cheeks.
She closed her eyes as Klaus leaned down and placed a kiss on her forehead until she no longer felt his presence.
