They didn't travel far to get food. One of Livie's favorite bars wasn't far from her apartment and it had great food.

Sliding into a booth seat Livie thanked the waiter for their menus before ordering a beer and Chris did the same.

"You come here a lot?" Chris asked as his eyes scanned the menu. Livie had already decided what she wanted.

"I do. It's close and they have good food."

"Hi Livie!!" A little girl couldn't have been any older than 7 or 8 skipped up to the table.

Chris raised an eyebrow.

"Ella! What are you doing out so late?" Livie scooted over so the little girl could sit down next to her.

"Dad's working." She rolled her eyes as Livie wrapped her arm around the girls slender shoulder and gave her a squeeze.

"Ahem." Chris cleared his throat with a smile.

"Oh! Where are my manners?" Livie straightened up, "Ella this is my friend Chris, Chris this is my dear friend Ella. Her father owns this fine establishment. She occasionally comes along for the ride. And we occasionally spend the evening coloring."

"Nice to meet you Ella." Chris stuck out his hand.

Ella giggled and shook his hand back. "Do you want to color?" She asked Chris.

"Sure! I love to color."

"Ok. I'll be right back!" She slipped out of the booth and disappeared into the back of the restaurant.

"She's adorable!" Chris stated.

"She is. Her dad's a single dad. He couldn't get a babysitter one night when Chace and I were here grabbing dinner and while he was trying to get things together to leave, she sat with us. We stayed with her till her dad was through and he's been bringing her ever since."

Chris tensed up a little when she said Chace. He waited to see if she said anything else about him but she didn't, so he let it go. She didn't know that Seb had told him about her and Chace and if she wanted him to know she'd tell him.

A few moments later Ella came back with crayons and coloring books. The trio sat and colored all through dinner. The sound of thunder and lightening streaking across the sky caused Chris and Livie to decided they should get back to her place. On the walk back to Livie's apartment the sky opened up and they were drenched. They ran into her complex and Livie started to chatter.

"It was so hot outside and now I'm freezing because of the rain!" Livie pushed the elevator button. Chris stepped forward and wrapped his arms around her.

They walked into her apartment and before Livie could even show Chris where to change or grab clean towels a clap of thunder shook the apartment and all the lights went out.

"No!" Livie cried.

Chris chuckled, "Do you have candles?"

"I do somewhere." She grabbed her phone and turned the flashlight on. Slowly making her way to the kitchen she dug around in the junk drawer and pulled out a lighter. She disappeared into her bedroom and came back with 3 large candles. She lit them and placed one in the kitchen and 2 in the living room.

"Let me grab you a towel and you can change in my room."

"After you." Chris nodded his head, "You're still shivering."

"Fine, you change in the bathroom." Still using her phones flashlight she grabbed him a towel and showed him to the bathroom. She then went in her room and stripped off her wet clothes. Changing into a pair of cotton shorts and a t-shirt she was instantly warmer. She walked out into the living room and caught Chris walking out of the bathroom in a pair of gym shorts and slipping his t-shirt over his head. She smiled taking in the view.

"Wonder how long it'll be out?" Livie peeked out the window. The storm was in full force now and lightening illuminated the sky causing Livie to take a step back.

Chris sat down on the couch. "This is certainly an interesting way to spend our first evening together."

Livie smiled and joined him on the couch. "What do you suggest we do?"

"Oh I have a few ideas." He murmured as he pulled her into his arms.

"I like your way of thinking." She lifted her mouth to his but paused. "However I think if I start I won't stop."

"Oh really?" Chris shifted on the couch so he could see her a little better. The candles didn't give much light.

Livie nodded. "I like you. I don't want to rush it."

"I agree. So what else do you think we could do?"

"I have an idea! Wait here!" She jumped up and Chris laughed.

She came back carrying a board game.

"CLUE!" She showed him the box with an excited grin.

"Really?"

"Yes! I love it. It's my favorite game. We can play on the coffee table. The candles should give enough light."

"Ok." Chris agreed taking the box from her hands he set it on the coffee table and they started to set it up.

"Who are you going to be?" Chris asked looking through the game pieces.

"Oh Miss Scarlett. Always."

"Ok I guess I'll be Mr. Green."

"Good choice."

Chris grabbed the instructions and started to read off how to play. "Says Miss Scarlett always goes first." He looked at her.

She shrugged innocently and Chris chuckled.

45 minutes later they were still playing Clue. They were talking about all sorts of things and Livie was hoping the lights would never come back on. After they finished their game, they laid on the couch, Chris's arms securely around her tiny frame. They never ran out of things to talk about and Chris made Livie laugh like no one had before.

They finally dozed off after 11:00, still on the couch.
