《Dangerously ~Chris Evans~✅》Eleven

"I've overslept!" Livie jumped up from the couch in a panic. Chris sat up startled. At some point the electricity had come back on over the night but because Livie didn't have any lights or the tv on they hadn't even realized it. Livie's phone was in her bag and her alarm had been going off, not that she could hear it as her phone was on silent.
"Ahhhh!" Livie screeched as she pulled her phone out of her bag and looked at the time. "It's 9:00. I have to go."
She ran in her room and grabbed the first outfit she saw, a simple red sleeveless dress. Without thinking she peeled off the clothes she had and wiggled into her dress tugging the zipper up the side. She grabbed a pair of black heels and her to-go makeup bag that had essentials for when she was rushing out the door. She ran her fingers through her hair and raced back out to the living room.
"I have to get to work. I'm so sorry. Hang out, or don't...if that's weird. Is that weird?" She looked panicked and Chris had to chuckle.
"It's not weird. Get to work. Call me when you get a moment."
"Ok." She smiled calming down a little. She stood there staring at him for a moment.
"Don't you have to go?" he reminded her.
"Oh yeah!" She shook her head. She started towards the door but turned back and kissed Chris quickly on the lips. "Bye." Her eyes shone.
"Bye." He smiled back at her.
Chris took advantage of Livie being out of the apartment and took a real look around. He didn't get much of a chance when he first arrived since they left for dinner and when they returned the lights had gone out. Everything was very organized and neat. He walked into the kitchen and looked at the different pictures that she had covering the fridge with magnets. Lots of her and JJ. A couple of her and Dex. The one of her, JJ and Seb from Seb's birthday that Seb had showed him the morning after and one of her and Chace. He felt that familiar pang of jealously looking at Livie's grin in the photo. They were on the boat and she was in Chace's lap. Her mouth open wide in a grin and Chace's arms wrapped tightly around her bare stomach. Moving along he looked through the living room, other framed photos but none it appeared of any other family besides Dex. She did have a huge canvased picture of London hanging in the living room causing Chris to believe she did probably miss home. He hadn't seen her bedroom and even though he was fairly certain it was creepy to go in and look at it, he did it anyway. Her room was bright and cheery with a white and orange bedspread. Orange drapes hung at the window in the corner of the room. White Christmas lights were strung above the bed to the 4 posts of her bed frame and on the wall above the headrest was a large white glittery O. There were many more framed photos in her room and Chris couldn't not smile back at Livie's beautiful smile in every picture. There were a few more of her with Chace and Chris had to shake his head to push the negative thoughts away. He was hoping she would have told him about Chace but then again that's not something you share with someone you've just met and are interested in. His phone ringing in the other room caused him to leave her room.

Chris wanted to venture out for food but realized he couldn't lock Livie's apartment and get back in without a key. His stomach was growling by noon and Livie didn't have much in her kitchen. He finally called her and asked what he should do about locking her apartment and getting back inside.
"Can you come swing by my work?" She asked. "I'll probably be here till 5 and I don't want you cooped up all day. You can get my key and stay out as long as you like that way."
"You sure?" Chris asked hesitantly.
"Yes. I mean I've already left you in my home alone all morning. You're not going to rob me, right?" She asked with a laugh.
"No, well now I obviously can't." He teased.
"Well then yes I'm sure."
"Ok send me your work address."
"Sent!"
"Livie I have a Mr. Evans here for you." The receptionist called from the front desk.
"You can send him back." Livie smiled to herself.
Moments later Chris pushed her office door open with wide eyes.
"This place is intense." He whispered.
Livie laughed, "Fashion week will be here soon." She shrugged.
"Oh. Right." Chris nodded like he had a clue.
Livie giggled, "You're cute." She bit the cap of her pen.
"Thanks."
"You can sit down for a minute."
"Ok, I don't want to keep you though." He peered out her door.
"It's fine." She waved it off. Grabbing her purse from where it sat inside the pull out drawer of her desk she searched for her keys.
"Here you go." She handed him the house key.
"Thanks. And you're sure you're ok with this?"
"Yes!" She laughed.

"Ok." Chris still seemed unsure but accepted the key from her out stretched hand.
"How long will you be in New York?"
"Couple days. I have to get back to Boston. My sister is dog sitting."
"Oh aw! I always wanted a dog." Livie sighed wistfully.
"Never had one?"
Livie shook her head, "No.....I grew up in a very...proper home."
"And that means?"
"Means no animals in the house. The housekeeper never had a day off. My mother wouldn't allow it. Everything had to be spotless all the time."
Chris perked up a little hearing her talk about her past. "Housekeeper?"
Livie shrugged before changing the subject. "So dinner tonight? I know my house has no food."
"I'd love to take you to dinner tonight."
"Perfect." Livie stood up to walk Chris to the door, "I'll be home around 6:30 honey." She teased.
"Guess I'm interrupting something?" Chace rounded the corner surprising Livie and Chris.
"Chace." Livie said nervously.
"Guess stopping by to see you wasn't a good idea." Chace eyed Chris before turning to go.
"Chace no wait." Livie turned to Chris, "I'm sorry I need to talk to him. I'll see you in a little while?"
Chris nodded, "Of course." He wanted to kiss her goodbye but knew that wouldn't be a good idea so he just nodded to Chace as he walked off towards the front of the office leaving Chace and Livie in her office with the door closed.

Terminal
My heart was shattered that day. It was on that day that I realized that life had an end, and that mine was coming. It was on that day that I realized that I was going to die. Leukemia, they told me. It's almost over. I didn't know what to do after that. I thought that maybe it would be best to die right then, get it over with. I thought that I could push myself away from all my friends, all my family, stop them from missing me after I was gone. I thought that I could handle it on my own, that perhaps the world was better off without me. I was wrong. So please help me, I'm dying. Save me, I'm falling. They tell me I won't survive. Please catch me, because if you don't, I'll shatter. I can't grab on anymore, I can't keep fighting. It's going to swallow me up. My name is Alyssa Gray, and by the time you finish reading this, I'll be dead. ________________________________ A few warnings and things to note: -I've put up the tramatising content tag due to a lot of mentions on death, dying, illness, and a mother who tends to be rather cruel. I know that I take a perspective that many will strongly disagree with, and I'm okay with that. Just be warned that this isn't lighthearted stuff. This is real, and death is real, and this part streaches beyond the fiction into reality. -I'm going to say a minor spoiler, but I don't want it to take you unaware because it is something to be aware of. At one point, my MC attempts suicide and fails. It's a very violent scene and I will put up the gore tag after writing this, and it's also just really depressing. If this will be triggering, you need to be aware of this before you read it. -This is a christian book. It may go against some of your beliefs. I hope that you can read and comment anyway even if some of it does not sit well with you. Credits for the cover go to the user 'Media in Sanity'. Your help and assitance has meant so much to me, God bless you in your writing and your endevours. A proud member of WriTE. I've promised to finish this fiction and update it at least once a month. My schedule is very irregular, and I'm working on that, but I'm going to do everything I can to make sure that this book stays out there. I'm not ending it until it's done.

Truth Behind The Glasses
"I'm just a man. I admit, I am weak to temptation." This kind of reasoning did not work well with Ashene Lei Castro. Aside from her anger, it was also her first heartbreak with her first boyfriend John Kenneth Guzman. She also wanted to give it a try to forgive him, but not a single "sorry," came out of the young man's lips. She loves him, but she will not let him hurt her again. From this day, she promised herself that no one would hurt her again. And her way of doing so is kind of peculiar - wearing thick glasses. She doesn't want another man to approach her and try to seduce her if, in the end, he will just fool around again. But there is more behind the glasses. Can the same guy who wants to try to be a part of her life again understand that? Or will he let go of her forever?

Love Of Baybur [Participant in the Royal Road Writathon challenge]
The Sultanate won a huge battle against their enemies of different religion, and now left them with only a piece of land surrounded by Sultanate's forces. Baybur, a yerliyya from a backwater place, is hailed as a hero after the war for his past contributions in a strange manner and is, thus, invited to a banquet prepared by the Sultan and attended by many Great Nobles. To Baybur, who had dreams of stepping on a higher stage in Sultanate's politics, and in his Orta's ranks, this is a chance for him to shine and rise. Yet he, and many in the banquet, knows that victory is far from over. And this presents a chance, with greater risk than before, to impress the Sultan and the Pashas of the Sultanate. Sanjak-beys and Aghas of the Janissary Corps all seek to devour their enemies, both in and out of the Sultanate. And Baybur, in the midst of this brewing storm, is no different from a fish dreaming to be a dragon. But a woman he meets at the banquet changes everything; his goals, his dreams, and his fate. After all, love, without expression, is a deadly curse. As a note, Cover is not mine obviosuly, and I write this both for NaNoWriMo and Writathon. To some history lovers and nerds who specialize in it, I know you might be angered quite a deal with some things I've written.(I get the feeling when someone talks wrong foolish things in a study I know, no hate) But this is a historical fiction written by a seventeen-year-old, don't expect much from me to know every single detail. Much of my research is surface level and some things are, well, to fit plot, are changed. So bear that in mind. For schedule/chapter thingt, there will be at most five chapters until I pass the 55.555 words mark. Each chapter will be around or above 10k+ words. It is also not edited, and probably won't be unless I find a great deal of time in my hands after November to see what I lack in where. That's all. Now go read, or leap to another fiction. Enjoy!
