James [indirect] POV
Peggy let out a scream that sounded like she was being murdered. James plugs his ear and winces at the sharp sound.
"Sweet Jesus Peggy!" James yells after Peggy's scream.
"It's not that exciting!" He says to her. She gasps in response.
"I JUST FOUND OUT MY BROTHER IS DATING THOMAS JEFFERSON! I NEED TO PLAN THE WEDDING!!!" She screams. The two other sisters burst through the door.
"WHAT THE HECK PEGGY???" Angelica screams over all the commotion. James rolls my eyes and plugs his ears again.
"JAMES IS DATING THOMAS!!!" She screams again. Eliza and Angelica stay silent, looking at each other, than back at James. James sighs and nods his head. All three girls in the room scream. Eliza ran over to James and crushed him in a giant bear hug. James laughs and winces at the contact. The bruises from his binder were still there, and the one on his chest look infected. He refused to see a doctor for it though. Angelica goes up to James, about to embrace him as well. She stops in her tracks, then gives a confused look to James. Eliza let go of James with a grin from ear to ear.
"I'm so happy for you!" She exclaims, holding James hands in her own. James smiled back at his sister.
"James?" Angelica asks from across the room. James turns his attention to her, his smile fading at Angelica's expression. A worried and scared look spread across her face.
"How long have you been wearing your binder?" She asks James, full concern on her face. The room falls silent and James eyes go wide and round. James doesn't respond.
"James Madison. Take it off." Peggy growls at her brother. James sighs and hugs his chest tightly.
"You're lungs.. they're bruised." Angelica mumbles, he eyes turning a yellowish-green. Blood drips from Angelica's ears into her brown curls.
"Do you think I care..?" James mumbles in response. Eliza and Angelica didn't here their brothers mumbles words. Peggy laughs sarcastically and takes out her earpiece that helped he not hear whispers from other people's minds.
"Say that again." She tells James. James tenses up and sighs. He opens his mouth to say something, but his phone buzzes in his pocket. He raises an eyebrow and gets his phone from his back pocket. An unknown number lies across the screen of his phone. He shrugs and hits the 'accept call' button.
"Hello..?"
"Hello, Jasmine." A raspy, cruel voice came through the phone.
"You've got the wrong person. This is James." James states, All of his sisters looking confused.

"No I don't Jasmine. I know your secrets. I know everything. If you hang up it will only get worse." He tells James. James could practically see the unknown persons smirk across the line. James takes in a shaky breath.
"What do you want?"
An uncomfortable silence fills the room and the telephone line. The man on the other end chuckles. James actually found that attractive but creepy.
"Play along..." James whispers into the phone.
"Oh! It's you! We haven't talked in forever! It's so nice to hear from you after all these years." James exclaims. Earning confused looks from his sisters. James smiles brightly and puts up his finger, indicating to give him and whoever was on the other line some time to talk. The sisters exchanged glances, some nervous, but shrugged it off and left the room. James let out a breath of relief and sits on Peggy's bright bed. The bright yellow blanket being hard to miss.
"Alright they're gone. What do you want?" James asks again. The man repeats his deep chuckle. James felt his cheek flush. Was he blushing..?
"You..." the voice responds. This only flustered James even more. The heat on his face growing hotter like boiling water.
"E-excuse me?" He asks, trying to stand his ground and respect his boyfriend.
"Jasmine darling, I have a lot of information that could ruin everything for you. Do you want that? You're sister to almost die again?" He asks. James breathing hitched in his throat.
"W-who a-are you?" James asks fear dripping from his lips. The man laughs again deeply and evilly.
"I am your worst.. nightmare.." he says like something from a horror movie. Chills are sent down James spine. The line drops dead and James looks at his phone with shaking hands. He takes a breath. If this person was real and knew all these things.. he couldn't let his friends get hurt. Let alone his own sisters. His phone buzzes again, causing him to almost drop it. He looks at the contact,
Text from 'Tommy <3'
Tommy <3- Hey amour? Can you come home? I miss you. 💋😘
James giggles and replies fast.
FlowerBoy 🌹🥀- of course baby, I'll be there soon 😘
James puts his phone in his back pocket and tells his sisters he has to leave. He leaves the Schuyler residence, and walks down the street with a grin on his face. He walks down the silent path. Most people were in their dorms or at a café. James enjoyed the silence, until it was broken. James walks down a alleyway and hears a broken sob come from it. He stops in his tracks and looks down the dark alleyway. Ready littered everywhere. He saw a shadow behind a wall. James slowly walked down the alley, knowing the New York streets weren't safe. He had to see who is was though. He felt bad, he couldn't leave whoever it was just there to sob. He turns around the brick corner. He sees a body of a female there in a curled up position. James looked around. Graffiti covering the walls of the outside buildings, a dusty door. Nothing too out of the ordinary. James glances at the girl again. Her brown locks draped over her knees, covering her face like a curtain over a stage. The girl had a red top on and worn down skinny jeans that hugged her waist and legs tightly. James slowly approached the girl. James steps on a large piece of glass, snapping it in half, breaking the splitting silence. James was thankful that it didn't go through his shoe. Yet, the girl heard the noise through the silence of the alleyway. She snapped her head up to look at the person who had caused the noise. Disrupting the silence besides her cries and quiet sobs. James look at the girl and was taken back. He stepped back a bit.

"Maria?" James asked, recognizing the face of his sisters crush. Maria looks down shamefully, a hint of guilt on her face. James ignored it though and walked towards her. He squats down, making sure not to sit. He could sit on glass and that wouldn't be Good. The glass was nearly invisible in the dark alley.
"What're you doing here? What's wrong?" James asked her concerned for his friend. He wasn't close to Maria, but any friend (or more than a friend) of Peggy's, was a friend of his. James felt his phone buzz from his pocket. Maria shakes her head. She looked even more guilty now.
"I'm sorry..." she mumbles. James opened his mouth to ask her another question, but he was pinned against a wall.
James hissed in pain from the pressure and the bricks digging into his shoulders. James looked forwards and his eyes went wide. The smirking devil or James Reynolds stood there. Pinning James against the brick wall. Maria got up and walked through away down the allergy. James opened his mouth, his pants filling the air. He felt weak and his breathing felt off. Reynolds laughed and pushed his elbows against James chest. James gasped and wanted to scream. He couldn't though.
"Finally.. you're mine.." Reynolds says, nothing wiping the smirk off his face. James gasped and wheezed for air. It felt like his ribs were slowly caving into his lungs. Like someone stepping on a balloon until it eventually popped. Reynolds grabbed James' face with his free hand and made James look him in the eye Reynolds smirked and kissed James' lips roughly. James frozen and squirmed under his grip. Reynolds held James tighter, making sure to not let him go. James gasped in the kiss. Reynolds touch on James' cheek became gentle, caressing James' cheek gently. James relaxed a bit, and kissed Reynolds back. Why? James didn't really know. An image of Thomas suddenly fixed its way into James' thought. James opened his eyes wide and squirmed against Reynolds. Reynolds pressed against James chest. It felt difficult to breath. Black dots splotching over James vision slowly. James got a boost over adrenaline, and kicked Reynolds in the stomach. Sending him flying backwards away from him. Reynolds grabbed his stomach and gasped for air, the wind being knocked out of him. James also gasped for air, but took the time while Reynolds was down to make a run for it. James ran out of the alley and into the large dorm building that wasn't too far. The security guard and secretary gave him a funny look because of the rush. James felt dizzy. Really dizzy. He grabbed across his chest and made his way to the elevator. He hit the floor he was on and limped down the hall. Holding his chest with his arm/hand. James shakily opens the unlocked door. Only to be greeted by a loving Thomas. Thomas approached James, not saying a word, just pampering him in kisses. James giggled, but winces.
"Baby? Are you okay?" Thomas asked worriedly. Did he hurt James?
James winces and his breaths shorten. James just nods and almost falls over. Thomas catches him. James looked tired. Like he hadn't slept in days. Thomas picks up James bridal style and carries him to the couch. James clutches onto Thomas shirt while he is being carried. Thomas lays down on the couch. James whimpers and cuddles into Thomas' chest. Thomas laughs quietly and started to play with James short hair. James smiled and leaned into the touch. James nerves went away and all pain seemed to disappear from thin air. James soon fell into a deep sleep on Thomas' chest, while carefully listening to the heartbeat of the other. James knew no one could know about what had happened.
Except Maria...
Why did she do that..?
