"So, I'm frank, and judging by your pins you might have an idea of who I am"
"you have no idea" I said awkwardly. Wow I'm really fucking this up, great job Kai. Great job.
"well, if it's okay with you, I was thinking of adopting you?"
No fucking way
"of course! I mean I don't mind, I mean okay"
"great, well do you need help packing or?"
"actually, that would be great" I said as I accounted for my amp and guitar stuff.

As soon as we entered my room, I suddenly felt subconscious about how it looked. It was a mess.
"sorry about the mess" I said
"no don't worry 'bout it"
"you play? He said, pointing to the guitar of display.
"yeah, I don't think I'm that good though" I said.
Frank said something about not being so hard on myself, but as he said this, I noticed the packet of cigarettes on my dresser
I awkwardly maneuvered so I could pick them up without him seeing and shoved them in my little backpack. I really needed to sort things out, that was way to close.

As we pulled up to the house, frank opened my door, and let me get out. I let out a small 'thanks' before quickly putting my bag on my back and grabbing my guitar. Frank opened the front door and, wow, the house was something else. He led me upstairs to a room, with white walls, and grey, but modern, furniture.
"I hope it's okay" he said. "We can decorate it once you've settled in and all"
"no its amazing actually, I love it" I said, the obvious gratefulness present in my tone.
*+*+*+*+
After we unpacked my stuff, he left me alone to settle in. it had only been about 5 minutes or so until I realised I had left my bag downstairs. I turned the corner into the kitchen to see frank sitting down texting someone, he lifted his head up to look at me
"Have you seen my bag at all? The small one"
"yes, I have actually, but I think we need to talk"
