《The Tale Of Lloyd Garmadon》17

"Floyd"
"My name is Lloyd."
"Whatever, freeze over the lava so we can search for the Fang Blade."
"Yeah sure, I can do that." Lloyd shrugged, using his powers to freeze the lava. "Why do we need the Fang Blades again? They just look like knives to me."
"I've told you, they're the key to obtaining a weapon to use against those who've wronged.... You." Pythor explained as Serpentine dug for the blade.
"They might wanna dig a little faster, I dunno how long the ice'll hold up against the heat of the lava." Lloyd muttered, tapping his fingers against his thumb, trying to regain feeling in his fingertips. Soon enough the serpentine dug up the Fang Blade, and Pythor realized the Ninja were there, leading to the snake making a moment's choice. To betray Lloyd as the ice the boy had created melted, Pythor hit Lloyd with his tail, knocking Lloyd down onto a ledge. "Hey!"
"Apologies Lloyd, but I need a distraction, you don't mind, do you?" Pythor laughed as he escaped. "This was never about getting your revenge anyway Boy."
The ninja, and Garmadon, just barely made it off the bounty before it crashed into the forest below. Upon landing they immediately made their way away from the wreckage, knowing the Sons of Garmadon would be looking there for Lloyd. "How's he doing?" Nya asked Kai as the group walked. Lloyd remained unconscious, so Kai carried him.
"Still out," Kai answered, a worried tone in his voice. "Once we get far enough away, we'll have to make camp so Zane can check on him." Lloyd moved a little, a small twitch of his arm, and grimace appearing on his face for a moment. "Zane, do you think we're safe to stop for a little?"

"For a short while, but not for more then an hour." Zane replied after a moment.
"Fuck." Lloyd mumbled as he climbed up from the ledge he was trapped on, the hot stone of the volcano burning his fingers, at least he could feel them again. He pulled himself up and sat for a moment.
"Kai! Be careful!" He heard one of the ninja, his name might've been Jay, Lloyd couldn't remember, all he could tell was that the red one was coming towards him.
"Are you all-" Kai began, stopping when Lloyd held up lightning, threatening silently to throw it at him. "We're not here to hurt you."
Out of the corner of his eye, Lloyd saw Pythor headed for the exit of the volcano, and chucked the lighting at him, making the snake drop the gang blade. "You brat!" Pythor yelled as the exit was sealed by falling rocks. "You've trapped us all!"
"I die, you die asshole!" Lloyd yelled to him, more lightning buzzing in his hand, it hurt, he knew what the results of using his powers was, he'd had them for months now.
Fire caused burns in the palms of his hands that continued to be burned time and time again before they could heal.
Ice froze his fingers, sometimes to the point where he couldn't move them.
Lightning left marks he knew would eventually scar.
He didn't know what earth would cause yet, he had only used it once.
"He seems to have blacked out because of overuse from his powers. No doubt that dragon he summoned was an accident that drained him to exhaustion." Zane explained, "Though, while checked him over to insure he was alright, I noticed similar scars on his hands and arms to those on Jay, Kai, and Cole's." He gently lifted Lloyd's arm to show the others. "Burn scars, zigzagging scars from lightning, and scars from normal everyday injuries."

"What about his fingertips?" Jay questioned.
Zane, lifted Lloyd's hand a little more. "The remains of frostbite, no doubt from how often he used the ice element of his powers. I assume that if I were human, my hands would have the same scars." Zane set Lloyd's arm back down, "On a lighter note, he should wake up in a few hours. But we need to keep moving, so, Kai, if you'd please carry him so we can go."

A Step Behind Death
Please share your thoughts about the story! Feedback and criticism is welcome, it'll help me improve my writing. "The final year of high school is the most difficult." This statement has never been truer for Damis, a student attending one of the many schools in the City of Sundridge. He never wanted anything more than to live a peaceful life, going so far as to avoid having large group of friends, indulging in dragged out conversations, or being involved in any other activity that requires him to invest a large amount of effort to accomplish. Instead, he poured all of his efforts into studying, dwelling in his internal monologues, and complaining about the things that annoy him to his one and only friend, Noah. Before long, he ended up as one of the best students in his class. As far as he was concerned, he was content with how he lived. But, after a confrontation with an eccentric girl named May, one of his classmates since the first year of high school, things have suddenly gotten out of hand. And as a result, his life became a lot more hectic than it used to be. Bound by a deal he could not refuse, his life as May's assistant began. At this rate, can he still spend the final days of his high school life in peace? Welcome to the life of Damis, the boy who's always A Step Behind Death. The cover art is made by friend of mine. I plan on making this novel into a webtoon once it becomes the best it can be. English isn't my first language, so expect some grammar bumps along the way.

T.R.E.E.S.E.K.A.I.
Get hit by a truck, die, get reborn, the same old. But what happens when you're reborn as a tree? T.R.E.E.S.E.K.A.I. follows the story of a dryad in a frontier town, watching civilizations get born, thrive, and die on her roots, under her branches. This is more of an ongoing scratchpad of writing experimentation rather than a cohesive narrative so I might do weird things with it from time to time.
