《Pixane OTP!!》Our apocalypse
Advertisement
Zane's POV:
It had been three months since the quantimblian aliens had came to Ninjago and things weren't getting any better.
We had a warning and managed to construct an indestructible barrier to hold off the aliens when they came but they came sooner than expected.
As we were hurrying people through to the safe side, we noticed their ships in the sky. There was a mad panic and the doors were shut. It was only after that we realised there were still people on the other side. The forbidden side as we now call it.
I stayed by the wall all night but I couldn't see her anywhere. It was then that I had to accept, Pixal didn't get through in time. She was still on the other side.
Some of us had begged the commissioner to re-open the door and give everyone a chance to escape but he said it was too dangerous.
All of my days were spent by the wall, hoping she would find a way over. I sometimes call her name but I get no response. I feel like I am going insane!!
I can't bear being without her any more. I need to find her. I have to get over the wall and find my Pixal.
~~~~~~~~~
I snuck out a midnight and went to the wall. I had become very familiar with it now and I knew that it was made out of the smoothest material known. I airjizued up near the top and grabbed onto a part of the wall that was slightly dented. I managed to climb to the top and by the time I was there, it was already day.
I looked back at the peaceful side that most of ninjago lived in. Then I looked at the forbidden side. Empty and derelict. it looked like nothing could survive down there. I took a deep breath, and slid down the wall.
I landed in a pile of rubble that looked as if it had been stacked against the wall in hopes of escape.
I navigated my way through what was left of this side of the city. Old buildings that I drove past every day were now completely destroyed. Covered with a thick green smoke that lingered about in the air.
I found a place that I knew would be good for staying low. I set up a fire and tried to get some rest.
~~A few weeks later~~
I have been trapped in this side for longer that I would have first thought. I know that I could easily escape when I wanted to but I promised myself that I would not leave here without Pixal.
I haven't seen many people. Most of them stay underground. I doubt Pixal would be hiding there too. I still have hope of finding her. Tomorrow is always another day.
No POV:
Zane pulled himself through the piles of rubble in search for a piece of scrap metal that could patch up his arm. A few days ago he had gotten into a battle with some quantimblians and they had done quite a number on him.
He would have lost if Ronin hadn't been there in the right place in the right time. Zane tried to offer one of his shurikens to him but he wouldn't take it.
"I got what I need to survive. Good luck finding Pixal though. Last I saw her was in the scrap yard. Good fighter that one." He said
"Okay, thank you." Zane said.
Zane had just found a suitable material when he heard the quantimblians strange language. He managed to decode it and he heard some threatening speech.
"Come with us immediately. You are one of the biggest threats we face. The more peaceful you come, the less painful of a death we will reward." They said.
"Well if I am one of the biggest threats do you really expect me to come peacefully?" He heard someone say.
Zane recognised her voice immediately. He had finally found Pixal.
Zane heard fighting so He looked around the corner and saw her, fighting the quantimblians, and winning.
She got pushed to the ground by one of them and without even thinking, Zane's instincts kicked in and he froze the quantimblians.
Pixal turned around and a smile spread across her face. She ran up to Zane and hugged him tighter than she ever had done before. Zane hugged her back. He missed having her in his arms
"I can't believe it!! I thought you got onto the safe side?" Pixal said
"I did. But I came over to this side because I was worried about you. I didn't want to loose you again." Zane said, stroking her hair softly.
"Well it doesn't matter now. Because we are together."
"And I am never leaving your side again. That's a promise." Zane said.
Suddenly they heard a roar in the distance.
"It's not safe where we are." Pixal said. "Follow me."
Pixal took his hand and led him back into the scrap yard. She moved some pieces of rubble and revealed a secret entrance that Zane did not see before. She typed in a code on a panel and the door opened.
Pixal pulled Zane through it and shut the door. Some fairy lights lit up a tunnel that went deep underground.
As they were walking, Zane noticed quite a few doors on the side of each wall.
"Why are there so many doors?" Zane asked
"We all use these tunnels. Most for hiding but a few of us have to go outside."
"How come?" Zane asked
"The others need food but they can't hunt it themselves. So down here, we all work together. Some of us catch the food, some of us cook it, some of us comfort the little ones, some of us dig more tunnels, some of us fight off the quantimblians.... there are a always about her job that needs doing and it's good to have all the skills. Even just in self defence." Pixal explained.
"What do you do then?" Zane asked.
"I can do all of the jobs. That's why I am kinda seen as the leader or something but I am usually a hunter." Pixal said.
Zane was impressed. For month now, everyone had believed that all of the ones who got unlucky and were trapped were dead. He was surprised that they had managed to adapt to their new environment rather quickly.
Pixal finally stopped walking when they came infront of another door.
"This is where I stay." She said. She slid open the door and revealed a room that was covered with stuff from the scrap yard. Her bed was two different beds screwed together, she had found some old rugs and blankets for the floor and walls. There was a table that had all sorts of weapons on it. All the way from swords and shurikens to guns!!
Honestly, it looked better than Zane would have expected. In all of the three weeks he had been there, it was the most cosy place he had seen.
Pixal sat down on the bed and Zane cuddled up next to her. He wrapped his arms around her and it was mostly quiet. Despite the occasional distant roar from above.
"How long have you been here?" Pixal asked
"Three weeks. I've been looking for you for the whole time. I... wanted to take you back to Ninjago." He smiled. Pixal smiled back and sighed.
"Oh Zane, i'd love to got back to Ninjago with you." She said, hugging him. "But I can't. Not until we defeat the quantimblians and get everyone home."
"Well then I guess you're stuck with me for a while then. Because I am not going to leave you now."
Pixal smiled at him and kissed his cheek.
"Good."
"I'll help you fight in your apocalypse. If it means you'll come home with me."
"It's not just my apocalypse now. It's our apocalypse. And we will get out of this together." Pixal smiled.
Zane blushed and pulled Pixal closer to him so that their faces were almost touching.
"I love you Pixal." He said quietly. Pixal smirked and put her hands behind his head.
"I love you too Zane." She said before pulling him closer to her, joining their lips in a passionate kiss. He blushed a lot but kissed her back anyway.
They pulled away when they heard a knock on the door.
"Hey Pixal? You there? The others are running low on rations again. Would it be too much trouble to ask you to go out and hunt enough quantimblians to last about a week." They heard Ronin say from the other side.
"No problem at all." She called. She stood up and turned back to Zane.
"Sorry Zane. I... I kinda have to go...." she said.
"Oh. It's fine Pixal." Zane said, trying not to sound too disappointed. Pixal sensed that he wanted to stay with her and smiled.
"Did you want to come with me?" She asked
"Absolutely." Zane said dreamily.
She took his hand and pulled him out the door. They ran up the stairs and back into the junk yard.
"We can make this work. Can't we?"
"Absolutely Zane. We will get out of this together." Pixal smiled before kissing Zane again. He immediately kissed her back. it felt like the whole world was melting away from them and the only thing that mattered was eachother.
"I love you Pixal." Zane sighed.
"I love you too Zane." She blushed.
"You ready to do this?" He asked, holding out his hand. She took it and beamed at him.
"Ready when you are, love."
The Solstice Wars
In the grey-cloaked cityscape of modern London, student William Whiteswift has two secrets: the Fae walk among humanity, and they are just as vulnerable as us. His childhood was filled with them; they spawned nightmares and episodes, dreams and obsessions. The nightmares remain, of course, but the fae are his normal. Now, he heals them, for William is gifted. When he saves a faerie -- a humanoid fae -- from an injury he can’t explain, William is forced to let her stay. Finally, he may have taken on more than he can handle; Ainsel could uproot his life in seconds. Instead, she cracks a Pandora’s box of mysteries: someone just flipped her home on its head. And because of that, she did something unspeakable. And somehow, she doesn’t want to hurt him. The longer she stays, though, the crueler his nightmares grow. Worse, governments hide secrets, too: they know of faeries. To them, all fae are monsters fueled by solstices and equinoxes. As the autumn equinox approaches, the culling agency COURT hurries to track Ainsel down. With teams across the United Kingdom and Ireland -- iron-strong despite the region’s history -- they are nearing success. A world away, their country wounded, the faerie leaders hunger for justice. In the looming shadows of war and of Ainsel’s mistake, can a human and a faerie protect each other against their own kind? Could their plight mend rifts between bitter nations and bitterer people? Or will it, like past attempts at peace, shatter? Quick note! I hope you all enjoy the Irish (Irish Gaelic) words here and there! All are defined or explained within the text. This is my chance to show off speaking it at least somewhat decently. Still learning. ;D -K
Mobius
Far in the future, humans have thoroughly colonized space through the use of floating colonies and artificially replicating the Earth whenever possible. Most of these endeavors have gone well, with humanity spreading across the universe like the seeds of plants floating in the wind. Yet still there lurks the great mistake, the endless station of Mobius, a megastructure which hasn't ceased its building in over a century. Dante, a man living in this megastructure, is tasked with the recording of stories told by criminals, particularly those who travel between strata. One day, a prisoner is captured claiming to be Captain Pluto, an infamous criminal thought to be fictitious by most scholars. Even more curious, he claims to hail all the way from Stratum 56, a location so far away from Dante's Stratum 999 that it would take lifetimes to traverse such a distance. Dante must discern whether or not the story is false or true, and the longer he lets Captain Pluto speak, the more difficult his task becomes. *****Average chapter length will be 10k words give or take. This isn't a very serious story for me. I'm writing this to blow off steam. Updates will happen infrequently because of this, and it will most likely be unpolished unless I begin to take it more seriously.
Dispatches from the Inter-galactic
Dispatches From The Inter-Galactic is a series of loosely related satirical stories which take place in a galaxy full of various interstellar civilizations and numerous space faring species generally described as consentients. This series is set in a galaxy which take place in a similar but not entirely unlike the galaxy in which my series Up in Space takes place While there are numerous themes related to interstellar life, several of the stories directly relate to specific themes such as; The pan-galactic ramifications to the use of supersymetrical energy sources (often drained from intera-located alternate and pocket realities.) the use of which by most interstellar civilizations is steadily increasing the overall amount of Dark Matter. This is increasing the mass of the galaxy and results in the occasional rips in inter-dimensional space as well as an overall increase in supernova activity. It is also speeding up the approach of the galaxy in Andromeda, which is of concern to several long lived civilizations; The Morphoids, a race of shape-changing consentients who are capable of using the space lanes created by the use of supersymetrical sourced energy to spread throughout the galaxy. They are currently viewed as threat number one by many space-faring species; and Xeno and exo-sexuality, as many species try to figure out what sort of enjoyment they can have with many of the species they encounter in space (only some of which are carbon-based, or more rarely, humanoid in appearance). This also relates to the altering of species to make reproduction somewhat easier for those with rather complicated lifestyles. A major force in this area of pursuit is the galactic visiteering industry, which promotes the ‘uplifting’ of more primitive planet-bound near-consentients.
