Jay wandered around and came to a tavern. On the wall, a wanted posted for him and the others. Thankfully, Jay covered most of his face with a bandana and a toque. to hide. Opening the doors, Jay looked inside.

"We're closed." The bar keep said.

"Uh, I'm starving. You got anything?" Jay asked.

"Anything? Sure." The bar keep nodded towards a vending machine. Jay walked over to it.

"Oh, Ninja Chips!" He silently exclaimed, pressing his hands against the glass.

"Ah, my favourite." He sighed, searching his pockets for cash.

"How do you find a Ninja?" A reporter's question echoed from the TV.

"The Ninja are still at large and public enemy number one." The Commissioner said.

"Did fame turn them?" Another reporter asked.

Jay stayed as quiet as he could, using a small electric pulse to manipulate the vending machine.

"Gentle... Gentle..." Jay said, looking back to make sure the bar keep wasn't looking. The bag of chips got stuck on the ledge.

"Aw, come on!" Jay exclaimed, more electricity popping out of his hand, making the vending machine drop a tom of snacks. Jay gasped and looked back at the bar keep.

"We've taken their ship s well as secured their known hideouts." The Commissioner explained.

"They will be caught and pay for their crime spree. I bet my reelection on it."

The barkeep turned back to the open tavern. Jay wasn't in sigh and the vending machine was lights out.

"N-no more questions." The Commissioner said, followed by an eruption of questions.

. . .

"That is all." The Commissioner lowered his hands and escaped into the precinct.

"Looks like you don't have an eye for this sort of work." Ronin said, pulling a paper away from his face.

"You're never gonna catch them, Commish. If you wanna catch a ninja, you have to know a ninja." He slouched on his chair.

"Ronin, you're no better than the crooks you catch. I'll find them. I've already got that bookworm, Misako, in custody." The Commissioner said.

"But what about the Sensei?" Ronin asked.

"Wu? Oh, he was last seen entering the Library of Domu, but no one saw him come out." The Commissioner said.

"Those-Those Ninja. They get all that power then use it to do what? Rob the only place that loved them." He scowled.

"Spoiled brats! So, uh, you sure you can bring them to justice?" The Commissioner asked Ronin.

"Heh, with a bow on. All I need in return is a clean slate, so I can pile all that fresh money you're gonna give me onto it." Ronin leaned forwards.

"Catch all six of them, Mr. Ronin, you can have anything you want." The Commissioner assured.

"It's seven. There's seven of them now." Ronin said.

"And she's probably one of the toughest to catch." Ronin said.

. . .

"Just come clean, tell us where they are." One guard said, sitting Misako in the interrogation room in the precinct.

"We know you're protecting them. Spill it!" The second guard exclaimed.

"Like I said, it wasn't them. They were framed. You should be searching for the real culprits." Misako explained.

"Right. That's what my mother would say too. Maybe we should give her some time to sweat it out. Come on, Simon." The first guard nodded at the other guy leaving Misako.

"Why won't you tell me where Wu is?" Misako asked.

"I wish to speak to someone in charge!" She exclaimed.

The door is slammed and in came Nadakhan.

"Your wish is yours to keep."

"My wish? No." Misako sat at the edge of her chair, unnerved.

"Oh, yes." Nadakhan said.

"Help! Uncuff me! Don't leave me alone with him!" Misako cried.

"No one's behind there, unfortunately. Ooh. Someone was kind enough to bring donuts." Nadakhan shrugged.

"I know you. You're Nadakhan the Djinn. I knew it. Clouse was looking for the Teapot of Tyrahn." Misako narrowed her gaze.

"Oh, you mean...this?" Nadakhan pulled out the teapot.

"It's smaller in person, I know. I was trapped inside it for longer than I care to recall. But now Clouse is in there. And he has Wu to keep him company." He held the teapot closer. Misako could faintly hear shouts for help.

"Wu! What have you done to him? What do you want?" Misako shouted.

"A good captain never leaves his crew behind, and mine was taken from me." Nadakhan said.

"I've read about you. You were a pirate captain. The stories said you could grant wishes for others, but not for yourself." Misako recited her memory.

"Is that why you made your living taking what never belonged to you?" She shot out.

"Yes, I cannot wish for myself, but I can always get what I want. Wu already told me where the Realm Crystal is, but I will still need your help." Nadakhan turned his back.

"Even if you were to find it in Hiroshi's Labyrinth, you'd never find your way out." Misako slammed her fists on the table.

"So it's hidden in Hiroshi's Labyrinth, you say?" Nadakhan turned back.

"Wu didn't tell you." Misako gasped.

"You tricked me. I wish I hadn't said anything in the first place." Misako muttered.

"Another wish? I thought you'd never ask." Nadakhan said.

"No!" Misako shouted.

The two guards and the Commissioner opened the door in a rush.

"She's gone." The first guard said.

"Well, I can see that. I'm not blind." The Commissioner exclaimed at the empty room.

"But your eye is twitching." The second guard pointed out. The Commissioner growled at him. A notification sounded off from Kai's Chirp account.

"We may have just gotten a hit on one of the ninja. Kai just updated his status." The guard showed the Commissioner.

"Hm. Really?"

Now the police were tracking down the signal of Kai's phone.

"Where did he say he was?" The Commissioner asked one of hid officers.

"We've tracked him heading north on Wilfert Boulevard. Oh, wait, now east on Flemming." The officer replied.

"The ninja haven't been seen in days but that hasn't stopped one from updating his status." The news reported on tv.

"@Fi-ya13 posted: 'A place of peace, a place to fight, a brotherhood born on one fateful night.' What does it mean?" The reporter asked. Nya, who is disguised, saw the report, then crossed the street.

"Is it a message? Is it a riddle? Or just a bad poem?"

"And now he's heading down Donovan Boulevard. He's taking a back alley!"

"I want him boxed in. Land this thing." The Commissioner shouted. The cars surrounded an alley.

"Come out with your hands up." A cop shouted. Turned out to be only a rat with a tracking device attached to it.

"It's not Kai, sir. It's his communication device. He gave it to the rat so we'd go on a wild goose chase. Ah. I mean, wild rat chase. Heh." A cop said.

"Yes, thank you, detective." The Commissioner said.

"But your eye is twitching."

"I'm not blind!

. . .

Kai landed down to the remains of the burnt down monastery.

"What the-- how did you get here before me? I was the one who sent the chirp!" Kai exclaimed as Morro was already there. Lloyd landed down. Morro flipped off his hood.

"This is my hiding place." He replied.

Nya and Zane made it to the monastery.

"It's a good thing only Lloyd knows where I go to get away from you guys." Morro sighed. Kai and Nya looked to Lloyd. The Green Ninja shrugged. In came Cole.

"Well, at least I'm not last." Cole flipped off his hood.

"Seriously? I was the last one to figure out it was Wu's old Monastery?" Jay asked, landing down.

"And Lloyd wasn't even trained here." He sighed.

"It'll only be a matter of time before they find this place, too, so there isn't much time." Lloyd said.

"Let's debrief. I didn't find much, only that Misako has gone missing." Morro said. Lloyd crossed his arms and sighed.

"Zane, got anything?" Morro asked.

"I came across security footage of Sensei at the Library of Domu." Zane said.

"He was not alone." The image of Wu, disappearing in an orange flash projected from Zane's eyes.

"What happened? Who was he looking at?" Kai asked.

"We don't know, but no one's seen him since." Cole said.

"The library database indicated he had checked out a book about the Teapot of Tyrahn." Zane informed.

"We originally thought we may be dealing with Clouse. If this is what I think it is, it appears to be far worse. We may have a Djinn on our hands." Zane stopped the projection.

"A Djinn?" Jay asked.

"Like a genie, only when he grants you wishes, you'll be wishing you never met him." Nya said.

"What else do we know about Djinn?" Lloyd asked.

"Hmm. Not much, just that they are very sneaky and have great power..." Kai said.

"If we had the Bounty, or even just a small amount of time to search, I could see if I have any scrolls on the subject." Morro said.

Jay turned away and grinned, slightly covering his mouth. Zane took notice.

"I do believe smiling is not the proper reaction when one is warned about a Djinn." Zane said.

"But Nya said they grant wishes. And with wishes, anything is possible, right?" Jay asked.

"Hmm. My logic parameters do not allow me to understand the full extent of a wish. But I am curious where you're going with this." Zane admitted.

"Nya made it clear there was no way we'd ever end up together. But I know for a fact from seeing my future that we do." Jay said.

"Maybe a wish is what it takes. Maybe this is how she falls for me." He placed a hand on his chin, and thought. Mentioning that, Jay remembered the other thing that happened in the Tomb.

"Then it's settled. Since we know so little about Djinns, we need to head back to town to investigate more about him." Lloyd decided.

"Whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa. If we head back together, the police will arrest us on sight. We should split up." Cole said.

"But anyone caught alone with this character suddenly disappears." Kai added.

"Then, pairs." Morro said.

"Lloyd, you and Zane head to the Library." Morro said. The two nodded.

"Wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait." Jay said, standing behind Nya.

"Yeah, yeah. And Jay and I will look for clues at the scene of the crime where he framed us. What do you say, buddy, just like old times?" Cole asked, leaning on Jay's shoulder.

"Ah, sweet. Who doesn't love old times? Eh?" Jay said, a little on edge.

"Kai, you and your sister see what else is out there. If we wanna clear our names and get Sensei back, we need to find this Djinn and take him down." Lloyd said.

"Morro, you could come with Zane and I--"

"No." Morro said.

"I'll go on my own." He turned away.

"What if the Djin comes and tricks you?" Kai asked.

"I won't make that mistake. Besides, traveling with less people, the less likely I'll talk. I'll look for my own evidence. We'll meet back here after." Morro said, turning back to the group.

"Don't you want to help with your father?" Zane asked. Morro closed his eyed and exhaled.

"I've done enough to him. And even more to you." Morro stepped towards the edge of the mountain top, pulling out his glider.

"Morro, hold on--" Lloyd ran after him but Morro already sped off. Lloyd sighed, watching Morro fly off. He turned back to the other Ninja.

"I'm fine." Lloyd shrugged.

"I detect traces of sadness." Zane said. Lloyd looked towards the sky.

"That part's all Morro."

. . .

"You have a nice evening. I hope you found all you needed." A guard said as the last bit of people exited the the library.

"Oh, I did." A lady said. The doors locked.

"Road clear." Lloyd said, leaning behind a bookshelf.

"The book he was reading is still here. That camera took the footage of Sensei." Lloyd pointed by the table.

"We don't want to be spotted. Hacking into the library's central computers now." Zane said, disabling the cameras.

"The Teapot of Tyrahn. The ancient markings on the side describe it's a powerful relic that can trap mortals." Zane looked on the pages.

"Oh. That may explain why people are suddenly disappearing." Lloyd exclaimed, adjusting his hat.

"And here's something more." Zane said.

"Once a Djinn is freed from imprisonment, the only way to destroy him is by--"

"Warning. An unknown presence is hacking into our system." Pixal said to Zane.

"Can you isolate the source?" Zane asked.

"It's coming from inside the building." Pixal informed.

"Look at that, Tin Can." Ronin said, replacing where Pix was in Zane's field of view.

"I'm in your head. Sorry, didn't wanna to have to come to this, but a job's a job, right, buddy?" Ronin shrugged.

"What's wrong? Why did you stop reading?" Lloyd asked.

"I know it's unfair, but I disabled your voice box. And now I'm shutting down your defenses and-Oops." Ronin said. Zane went limp.

"There go your arms."

"Zane?" Lloyd asked.

"If it's any consolation, I didn't wanna have to fight you. And now technically, I don't. Good night, good buddy." Ronin said. Zane shut down, standing still, his eyes no longer illuminated.

"Are you there?" Lloyd asked.

"I took the liberty to close off the wing, Lloyd." Ronin's voice echoed around. The Green Ninja turned to see the security camera turned back on.

"Been meaning to say, love the TV spot. What was it you guys said? Reading is the first step to every adventure?" Ronin asked.

"Sorry, Zane, but I've gotta get out of here." Lloyd placed his hand on Zane's shoulder, stepping away. Bars on the windows slammed down.

"Yeah, they installed those to keep the bad guys out. Or was it the good guys in? I don't remember for the life of me. Which are you, Lloyd? A good guy or bad guy?" Ronin asked.

"We were framed. You know us, Ronin. We would never do any of that stuff." Lloyd said, carefully stepping down the hall.

"You also know me, and I'm getting paid an awful lot to bring you guys in." Ronin said. He slid the books over to reveal himself to Lloyd.

"How's Nya? Boy, I missed her." Roni charged up his stun gun. Lloyd booked it.

Lloyd threw back a blast of energy back, just missing his target.

Boo!" Ronin shouted, pushing some books down. He fired straight up. Lloyd ducked, bringing his hand up to blast energy at the shelf devising them.

"Let's make this easy. I'll take you back to the station, you can answer their questions and clear your name." Ronin shouted as Lloyd pressed his back against a shelf.

"Not until we stop the threat. And you're gonna pay for what you did to Zane." Lloyd exclaimed.

"But not today." Lloyd pushed against the shelf, creating a domino effect, leaving Ronin in the mess.

Lloyd blasted the door open to make his escape. Ronin pulled himself out of the wreckage and threw a rope with Vengestone ends to weigh it down. Lloyd fell over as the rope wrapped around his legs.

"Looks like I didn't miss you, Lloyd. Two down, five to go." Ronin said, standing above Lloyd.

"But for a short cut, tell me where your brother is." Ronin said. Lloyd turned over on his back.

"Like I'd ever tell you." Lloyd said, sounding out of breathe.

"And you can't use me to get to him, either." Lloyd added.

"Maybe not." Ronin shrugged.

"But there's always a way."
