*present day*
Me and my brothers were playing around in a supermarket. It was small, but it had a lot of good foods and treats. Me and Zach were teaming on Dillon secretly. Me and Zach stuck close together searching for Dillion. He was holding a water gun, I was holding a fake shotgun, and Dillon was holding a fake revolver. "Let's split up." I whispered. "Sure," he replied back. "whoever doesn't catch him is a sore loser!" I nodded and accepted his stupid challenge. I started my way to the snack aisle, hoping that Dillon would be there. He wasn't. I found Zach about 5 minutes later and he whispered to me, "I found him." I nodded and smirked. "Gotcha!" Dillon yelled. I sighed and chuckled. Zach quickly turned around and made a pew pew sound. "What?!" Dillon replied. The boys started bickering while I tried to break them up. "Boys-? BOYS!" Mom yelled. "Did you guys take those out of their packages?" I looked at Zach waiting for him to answer her. "No, they were in a bin like this." He said. "Put them back." The boys sighed and rolled their eyes. I followed them as they ran to the bin. "Pick out your cereal!" Mom added. When we put them back we looked for the cereal aisle. When we reached it Dillon picked out the healthy cereal, whilst Zach picked out the sugary cereal. I just picked out a box of Cheerios. I wasn't really into cereal.
"Dude, these are so much better than those." Zach told Dillon. "Yeah, well these are healthy." "Dude you're supposed to have sugar that's the whole point in cereal." They picked out two boxes and ran over to mom. I sighed and walked towards them. "Nope, nope. One box each." Mom told the boys. "They all look so good!" Zach cried. What a child. I hate to admit it, but Zach is ungrateful and rude. "Can we have two each?" The boys said in sync. "Nope.." Mom said for the last time. They took a box back to the cereal aisle. I put my Cheerios in the cart and started walking with mom. "Boys, stay close, okay?" She said as she looked at a skinny man with pure orange hair. "What's wrong?" I said quietly trying to hide my voice. "Oh, nothing sweetie. Just stay close to me got it?" I replied to her with a nod. We started walking again. Me and mom quietly talked about dinner. The boys came back and we passed that man again. I saw him take a photo of mom. I clutched moms arm and looked at him in disgust. He caught on to my view and smirked. What an idiot. "What is it mom?" Dillon said worried. "You guys remember what to do when Mama says rootabayga right?" Me and the boys looked at each other. I bit my lip in fear. "We run." We all said in sync. "Yeah, and stay close together."

We started fast walking. My heart was racing and I didn't really know what to do. We bumped into an elder and smiled at her in a way of saying "sorry". The man passed us again. "Rootabayga," Mom said quietly. We started running as mom repeated rootabayga again. Mom grabbed the boys hand, and I grabbed Dillons hand. We ran passed the aisle until we met a cop. "Woah--wait! Slow down! What's wrong?" The cop said. "That man right there is touching my children." We ran out and waited for mom by the car. "Hey son, you need to step back." The cop said to the man. He chuckled and said, "What did she tell you?" When we saw our mom run after us, we went into the car and immediately buckled up. Zach sat in the front seat, and me and Dillon sat in the back. "Seat Belts?" Mom asked. I nodded back to her, and the boys said yep. Mom stepped on the brakes and drove us back home.

The Arcanist Seer
An eye of which sees everything beyond the skies and heavens saw an embodying fate with reek of blood and greed. He who sees the future and yet is restrained by his own shackles of his destiny. An eye that serves a purpose but nothing in exchange for his freedom. Will he remain as a tool of his adversary or escape from his own shackles of fate? This is a story of two old men trying to free from the shackle of their destiny set in a future only to await their impending doom. This is a story of a dead god, and of a storyteller, trying to break from the bonds of the past. And as their stories go, one of them will face the events that unfold in their distant past, as the other one will unveil its mystery predicted by its future. Is it a mistake to challenge fate, after all? *** The world-building is set upon on the universal scale, with dungeon and old-style fantasy. It has a progression that follows with the consistency of a dungeon setting, although it's not what you call a dungeon, but a function of a crystal. There's a lot to take in this novel, but that's all within my intention. I have always enjoyed challenging conventional ideas. The cover is not mine, it's just temporary.

This is designed for a more serious and mature audience as there aren't many boundaries in this novel. Any kind of feedback would be much appreciated to better the novel as time goes by.

Remorse
I have killed many people over my long life. Men, women, children. None have escaped the shadows that I control. It was only one tiny mistake that I made that changed my life forever. I underestimated her, and I would pay for my hubris. “For every death you have given, you will feel their pain.” What? “For every person you have killed, you will feel regret.” Wait, wait… “For every murder you have commited, you will know what you have done.” I don’t think this is going to be pretty. The power leaves her voice as she continues in a softer tone. “I will give you back what you have lost, you will feel empathy again.” Her power releases me and I fall to the ground. Diana. That was her name. I will remember it. ******** This story starts out somewhat dark, but it will lighten up after the first chapter. I tend to not enjoy the psychological tag too much since stories with the tag tend to be a little insane for my liking, but I feel that I would be remiss not putting it on this story, since a lot of it is about the psychology of the main character. All the content warnings are checked since I want to leave my options open to me for the future. I hope you enjoy.
