《Joker's Running Wild (Deltarune, Super Paper Mario, Kirby Super Star)》Chapter 7

Jevil looked into his file. "Huh..."
He kept reading. There were multiple chapters. He wasn't even really a character. Neither was Seam!
He kept reading, eyes going wide. There was someone....a dark being. "Beware the man that speaks in hands..." Then, for a split second, he could swear he saw someone behind him. A dark being with a melted face and holes in his hands.
The dark figure moved towards him. Jevil stepped back. "W-whoa! Who are you"
"✋︎ ✌︎💣︎ 👎︎⚐︎👍︎❄︎⚐︎☼︎ 🕈︎📬︎👎︎📬︎ ☝︎✌︎💧︎❄︎☜︎☼︎"
Jevil looked at him in confusion. "Uhh...what?"
The figure cleared his throat. "Ah, my apologies. I just assumed you spoke wingdings because you're here." Jevil seemed slightly scared. "W-who are you??"
"Right. I am Doctor W.D. Gaster... and I have been watching you for some time. Here, let's have a talk...."
.......
His world really was a game. Nothing was real. His world inside the game wasn't even real. He was trapped, and the worst thing...
A darkness was coming. It was coming, and they were all trapped.
A darkness was coming, and Seam was trapped. "No... NO!"
He turned around. Seam was in there. Everyone was in there. He had to actually warn them. He didn't care if they didn't believe him, he had to warn them.
He picked up his weapon. He had to get back. He had to warn everyone, and soon. He wasn't sure how much time he had before the darkness had come.
"Come on, Come on, COME ON!" He said, trying to teleport back.
Suddenly, he was back in his room. Jevil's knife in hand. He immediately ran out into town. "SEAM?? EVERYONE, THERE IS A DARKNESS COMING! THE GAME, WE'RE ALL IN A GAME. WE HAVE TO FREE OURSELVES, THE DARKNESS! IT'S COMING!"
Jevil was frantically teleporting around. Suddenly, Seam came up behind him and held him back. "Whoa, Jevil, what is all this??" Jevil snapped his head up. "SEAM! SEAM, THANK GOODNESS! LISTEN, WE NEED TO GET OUT OF HERE. THE DARKNESS, THE GAME, WE NEED TO BE FREE." Seam looked around. Everyone was staring at them. "Whoa, Jevil, Jevil, Jevil, calm down. Please."
Marx had just finished checking his home world. It had nearly been developed. And he was assigned his role.
The final boss.
It was an important role, but it didn't matter anyway. A part of him really wanted to stay, but Dimentio wouldn't like that. They were a team. Marx let out a sigh, and warped back to their meeting place, just outside the Deltarune file.
Dimentio's world was still in the process of being made. He couldn't quite tell where it was going and what he would be yet, but it didn't matter. No way was he gonna just stay and live his life according to a code. All there really was in his world so far, were two lovers. He was about to leave, but something made him want to stay and see where this was going. Just for a minute.

Seam actually couldn't calm Jevil. For the first time ever. He had to drag his friend all the way back to their room. "Jevil, please. Everyone's watching." "GOOD! THEY NEED TO KNOW!"
Seam rubbed his temples. "Jevil, what has been up with you lately?? It's really concerning. I think I'm gonna call you in sick so you don't have to go to work today. You don't look well." Jevil snapped back, "NO, FOR THE FIRST TIME I AM WELL. FOR THE FIRST TIME I AM THINKING CLEARLY."
"Jevil, I'm going to work. Please don't leave this room. I'll be back soon, and we can talk about this. Alright?" Jevil sat in silence, a large grin on his face.
He waited for Seam to leave, before standing up and trying to teleport back to that file. He had to read more. He needed to try to find out how long he had until the darkness came.
This time it came easily. Weird. He was barely even exhausted. He was about to read, when he saw little Marx, sitting there on his beach ball, looking sad.
For a moment, Jevil forgot what he was doing here. He lowered his voice. "Hey, Marx? What's wrong?" Marx quickly looked up, surprised to see Jevil. "Jevil?? How did you get here? Did Dimentio bring you?" Jevil beamed. "Nope! I brought myself!"
Marx smiled. "Wow. I'm impressed. You're really coming along." Jevil smiled, then sat down next to Marx. "So, what's wrong?"
"Dimentio died." Luigi stated more clearly. "He was killed in the Ultimate Show."
Jevil dropped down to his knees. "How....who?" Luigi stepped back. Jevil looked up at him, sending chills down his spine. "WHO??" Luigi squealed in fear. "Please don't hurt me." Jevil got up and laughed. "IT DOESN'T MATTER ANYWAY. I'LL JUST TAKE OVER IN HONOR OF HIM. HE ALWAYS WANTED A PERFECT WORLD, SO I'LL MAKE A PERFECTLY CHAOTIC WORLD! STARTING WITH ENDING YOU! TELL DIMMY I SAY HI!" He swung his Devilsknife right for Luigi, but Luigi was able to dodge last minute. He took of running. Where? He had no idea.
He got in the elevator. He was frantically hoping it would move faster. Sweat was forming on his forehead. He took his hat off and wiped it away. "Come on, come on, go faster!" The elevator door shut right before Jevil could get in. Luigi let out a sigh of relief.
"YOU KNOW," Jevil's voice came from behind him. Luigi turned around to see Jevil there, Devilsknife in hand. "IT'S RUDE TO LEAVE MID-CONVERSATION." Luigi stepped back against the wall.
"Please. I've done nothing to you. None of these people have." Jevil smiled. His teeth were yellow. His smile wasn't quite charming Like Dimentio's smile. It looked more wicked. More insane.

Dimentio at least had class. He was organized. He hated to think it, but compared to this guy, Dimentio barely looked insane.
"MAN IN GREEN. WHAT A FUNNY TITLE. UEE HEE HEE." Luigi had no where to run. He had to stall until the elevator opened up and let him out. "HE SAID YOU WERE GOING TO BE IMPORTANT. A KEY PLAYER IN THE GAME." Luigi shut his eyes. He was getting dizzy.
Just looking at this guy was to much to handle. He was always dancing. He never stopped dancing.
The door suddenly opened. Luigi sprinted out. He was on top of Flipside tower now. Jevil standing behind him. "WHY ARE YOU RUNNING? DON'T YOU WANT TO PLAY?" Luigi shook his head, and quickly opened one of the Dimensional Doors, and went though. He didn't care which one, he just needed to get away from Jevil.
He slammed the door shut behind him. Breathing heavily. He half expected Jevil to follow him in, but Jevil didn't. He guessed he wanted to stay in Flipside and focus on taking that area over first.
But what about after that? Luigi began to worry. If this new guy, Jevil, took over flipside, then what would stop him from taking over all these Dimensions.
He needed a plan. He needed....
Luigi looked around, just now realizing which door he took.
He was in the Underwhere.
Marx turned away. "What's it to you?" Jevil's smile faded. Marx took one look at Jevil's little sad face and sighed. "Fine. Promise you won't tell Dimentio?"
"Sometimes, I think of going back to my home world. My game. I know it's dumb, and we've always planned of escaping....but I don't know. I have a plan. I can take over Planet Popstar. I can do whatever I want, but still be in my home." Jevil looked down. He wished that he could do whatever he wanted in his own home. "But...what about the game? The players? The assigned roles?" Marx smiled. "I got my role. I'm a final boss, so it wouldn't be difficult to win. To come out on top. I could be happy. I could get everything I even wanted...." Jevil saw Marx look away.
"But?" Jevil asked. Marx sighed. "But, Dimentio wouldn't be there. YOU wouldn't be there."
Jevil looked at Marx. "I think....I think you should go." Marx looked up and met his eyes. "Really? But, what about-" "It doesn't matter. It's your life. Your world. If you have a chance to come out on top, if you have a chance to win and be happy, then take it. You don't owe me or Dimentio anything. It's your life, not ours."
Marx smiled. "Do you really think Dimentio will let me?" Jevil shook his head. "Nope! But that doesn't matter." Marx stood up, still standing on his little beach ball. "Okay! I'll do it!"
He began to roll away when he turned back and looked at Jevil, one last time.
"Hey, Jevil?" He asked. Jevil nodded. "Yes?"
"I'm sorry I was so harsh with you at first. I didn't want you replacing me."
"I know.... And I forgive you. And don't worry, I can never replace you."
"Another thing.... Don't let Dimentio....change you to much."
Jevil smiled. "Farewell, Marx."
"Goodbye, Jevil."
With that, Marx warped away. Homeward bound.
Jevil sat down. "At least...at least you'll have a home. My world is doomed to the darkness."
Dimentio was about to make his way back, when he saw that Marx was standing just outside his own game file. "Hey! Marx!" Dimentio called. Marx didn't turn to face him. "How's your world going?" Marx stayed silent. "Marx?"
"I'm going home."
"What?? Why?"
"My world has nearly been developed. I'm going home."
Dimentio quickly stepped in front of him. "Marx, what's gotten into you? You aren't serious. We're a team. You can't abandon me now!"
Marx smiled. "Yes. I can, and I am. I don't care about your perfect world. I just want to go home. If my plan works, then I can be in charge. I can call the shots. Me! I can have everything I've ever wanted in my home world."
Dimentio had a confused expression on his masked face. "I- Where's this coming from??" Marx smiled.
"Jevil."
"....Jevil?"
"Yes. Jevil. Now goodbye Dimentio. I hope you find what you're looking for."
Marx warped himself away, into his game.
"No! Marx! Come back!"
......Jevil.
"JEVIL!!!!" Dimentio stormed over to Deltarune. Jevil was reading the file. He kicked Jevil down, and placed his foot on his chest, holding him down. "What did you do??"
Jevil smiled. "I LEARNED TO TELEPORT LIKE YOU! AREN'T YOU PROUD"
"What happened to your voice??" Dimentio asked, "Nevermind. Nevermind! It doesn't matter! You sent my best friend away!" Jevil smiled. "I DID NO SUCH THING. MARX SENT HIMSELF AWAY. IT'S WHAT HE WANTED. IT'S HIS LIFE." Dimentio took his foot off of Jevil's chest. "I don't care. He was my best friend. My partner! And now he's gone. Because of you!"
Dimentio snapped his fingers, sending Jevil back to his room. "Go away. I don't even want to look at you right now."
Once Jevil was gone, he kneeled down. Marx had always stood by his side. For a while, Marx was the only one who understood him.
And now he was gone.

The Helena Chronicles
Espers are really no different than humans; they look like any normal human and in general behave like any normal human. However, there are a few key differences. The max life expectancy of espers ranges from forty-five to fifty. They naturally have a knack for mathematics and are extremely intelligent in general, this is because their abilities rely on the subconscious and conscious calculations. They also have a mysterious energy source they call Focus that is generated naturally by all espers. The continent of Elestveeve is populated by three major factions, each a governing force. On the west of the continent, there is the Noble Houses that subscribe to the Deity Faith. The Houses ruling with the Deity Faith as council since the religion's founding four-hundred years previous. Controlling most of the northeast is WITCH, an organization ruled by powerful espers; claiming the mysterious Genesis as their capital, they are a whispered myth among much of the continent's less technically advanced residents. In the southeast you have Tech City, a towering monolith of a capital with four sky layers and metropolis' leveled deep underground; it is a city brimming with technical advancement and cyber integration. Each faction contends with one another for their evolutionary ideology, by devout religious worship to receive miraculous gifts, unique genetic lineage to obtain ESP, and technological integration to become something more than human. Helena, a young genius and esper, awakes in a dark room with only fuzzy memories and the company of seven other children. She must determine how she got there and how to get back to where she came from. Warning: Due to time constraints, I don't have the time to keep up on my three stories; therefore, Helena will need to go in a stasis chamber until I can find more time to write between work and life. I love my first girl so much! however, it seems she is the least popular among the fans (the poor girl T_T). This world is much bigger than my other two novels and I'm not giving up on it, but simply having to put her on ice.
