Claire POV-

"Jordan!! Jordan!!" "Please Jordan!"

She woke up to voices in her head screaming her name. She must have a worse injury than she though.

Hold on. It wasn't... it was Sonja and Tucker.

She was actually better, she can actually reach the world communicator, at last.

"Guys its me! Im ok!"

"Oh thank Mianite! We have been trying to reach you for days! Where have you been? We heard Josh took you and we have been looking since" said Tucker.

"Where is he keeping you! We can come rescue you."said Sonja almost instantly.

"I escaped. Though I still need you help, I don't know where I am. I just ran into a forest and hid."

"You escaped? Thats why we haven't heard from josh in a while"said Tucker in between laughs.

"They have a secret base somewhere. I flooded the whole thing though, I'm not sure whats left or where everyone is but I'm just glad to hear you again!"

There was a pause. Then laughter that almost made Jordan deaf.

"You actually got him back! Thats sick! Well, since we are in another frequency we can talk safely. Just head south, thats the direction we saw Josh coming from." Tucker said enthusiastically

"Gotcha, I just need to clean my wounds and ill be on my way."

"Ok, we will head south with provisions, hopefully we meet you on the way" said Sonja.

"Be careful on your way. You said they so I assume that means Nade, the modesteps, and Tom. We only saw the modesteps arrive today and there was no announcement of any deaths lately."

"See you soon, hopefully. Thank you for worrying about me, I'm sorry that i made you worry"

"No, we are sorry. We shouldn't have ran off. Thats the whole reason this happened. Take care" said Sonja softly as if she was gonna start sobbing.

Jordan made it to the waterfall and started cleaning her clothes as best she could. She washed her wounds with nice cold water and patched them up with the pieces of cloth she had. Luckily all the stuff from her bag was still there, including some food.

After eating she didn't realize how hungry she had been, it had been a long time since she had a meal. The sun was as bright as always, it was early morning so she could see where the sunrise had come from. Jordan used that to help guide her south, a little trick Tom had taught her during training.

Tom

He didn't help her. She thought for a second that this was the old Tom. Her friend. But he was long gone, something had gotten to him that really made him go nuts. Who knows how long the war will last with those maniacs loose.

Once she was back up on her feet, she would stop this war, if the gods wouldn't then that was the only way. This is no longer about balance, now its about justice.

Jordan got her bag and headed out. It had been a while since she had been alone, this reminded her of how she used to walk alone to class everyday. It was relaxing, peaceful, it was as if the world outside was shut down.

Only difference is that in this world there were dangers everywhere.

Last time she walked on school grounds she fell through a worm whole...so that world isnt that safe as well.

That guy.

Its funny, she didn't even get his name so she doesn't even know who to blame. That poor guy must have been traumatized out of his mind. To be honest, she didnt even know I he fell trough with her, could he be here as well?

She would have seen him by now though.

"You look like such a mess" said a voice from behind her.

Expecting it to be Tucker teasing her, she quickly turned around and hugged the person behind her.

It wasn't until she got a glimpse of the red skin that she quickly stumbled out of the way. It was too late then, she had given the Devil a big bear hug...

He looked shocked, almost as if that hug broke him.

"What the hell! I though you were Tucker!" Jordan said as she started to quickly walk forward. She just didnt wanna look him in the eye, the embarrassment was breathtaking.

"Um...whatever. My statement still stands, I see my servant had a good time."

"Until I flooded his ass" she said as she kept walking, putting distance between them was her main priority, but of course he can teleport. He appeared right in front of her smiling.

"Now Now, don't worry I'm not here to kill you today"

Today. How comforting.

"Did you come here to laugh then?"

"No, actually I came to talk to you because I'm impressed. Its not easy for a human to pull of the little escape you did. You bested some of my best followers. I saw and heard what happened, after that little fiasco, I'm very interested in that darkness of yours that you spoke of"

Oh right, her little speech to Josh.

"You shouldn't be. I just want to get back home. Please move out of my way." She said in a frustrated tone. Truth be told, she was still terrified of him, specially now.

"Very well, I will extend my offers some other time. Just keep it in mind, i think you would be very pleased with the rewards that come with being by my side" he sad as he inched closer to her.

That sent Jordan running for the hills. She ran as fast as her injuries would let her, when she looked back Dianite wasn't there. That sent a shock of worry to her whole body, then she ran into something in front of her.

"You dont have to be so rude you know. You cant escape me."

Jordan gave up. She sank on her knees and held back her tears of frustration.

"What the hell is wrong with you guys! Why haven't the gods stopped this war!" She looked him in the eyes, she need to see if there was any guilt in his eyes.

There wasn't, as expected.

"We have a bigger problem than this right now. Its just a petty war, deal with it. Besides you seem to be doing just fine without our help. My bets are on your darkness to win the war, I've seen a piece of what it can do.

"Im not evil like you! You cant make me doubt myself! I know who I am!"

"I know what you can become. How good did it feel to fight back? To know they might drown, make them pay. You like it didn't you?"

"No! It didn't. I have a balance between whats good and bad, you cant shift it one way or the other. Just go back to your bigger problems will you!"

"Thats no way to speak to a God dear"

"You're not my God" she said fiercely.

"Not yet" with that he disappeared.

Jordan had to gather herself, take deep breaths. She couldn't let his worlds shake her. She would never join him. Ianite was her one and only God.

"Jordan!"

"I told you to leave! Just leave me alone" she screamed as loud as she could.

When she looked up she saw Sonja and Tucker, standing there confused and worried. She apologized before she finally passed out...guess you can only live from so much blood loss.
