《The Spark of Balance: The Realm of Mianite (Book 1)》Ch21- The Ianitee

Claire POV-
Everyone seemed asleep. The was no screaming, no sound of movement.
Plan b was already set up.
All she had to do was figure out a way to open the door. Luckily she knew just how to do that. She had a hair pin hidden inside her hair, when she had gone to the restroom she made sure to hide it deep within her hair. Now she would use it to break the lock on the door open.
After a few tries she got it open, she slowly opened it and peeked outside. Sure enough no one there. She grabbed on to the rope and headed out. As soon as she stepped outside of the room she saw Josh come out of the room at the very end of the right hallway.
Plan b it is
She quickly pulled the rope and heard the wooden slabs fall to the floor. Surely enough her predictions of there being a body of water above them were correct. The sound of water grew stronger as the second went by. Josh rushed over to her, but he was so far away that it gave her a head start.
The water was starting to pour out on the hallway, she never looked back, she ignored the screams for anger coming from behind her. She pushed as many things behind her to slow him down.
She hoped she was going the right way, if she made a wrong turn, it was over. Josh had a sword and armor, she had thousands of wounds. Jordan's odds weren't that great to begin with.
The sound of water came closer and closer, she heard other screams from far away. But kept running. As if blessed by the gods, she found some stairs heading up to what seemed like the surface. Without a doubt she ran up those stairs as fast as she could.

A few steps behind her was Josh, angry as could be. He was faster than she had expected, that or her wounds were just that bad that she ran really slow. Once she reached the top she quickly closed the door behind her. Luckily she had planned ahead, she jammed the rope at the bottom of the door so that it wouldn't be able to open.
Before running off, she saw Josh through the small holes of the door. She stopped, got close to the door, enough that he could see and hear her clearly.
"I told you that I would escape. Good luck cleaning up your place"
"How did you do it? You had nothing!"
"I had a rope and a hair pin, that was more than enough"
"But you're an Ianitee!!!!"
"Yeah have you ever wondered what that actually means? Its not that I'm all good, and never biased. It means I'm both like Mianite and Dianite, I have a bit of both, I'm their middle ground. I have the ability to do despicable things, to fight dirty, to destroy. I have the capability for darkness. I also have the ability to do good, help others, have compassion beyond compare. I can be a hero and a villain at the same time. I can bring balance, but I can also apply justice strongly. I have both good and evil, so watch your back, its best to have me as a friend than an enemy. How do you think Ianite can bring peace to both brothers, he understands both."
"What about your stuff! You have nothing!"
"Actually I do, thank you for leaving a chest outside my door with my stuff. I wouldn't have know it was there if you hadn't taken me to the restroom. Though Nade still owes me the tools he stole. Im gonna want those back!"

She waved her backpack and slowly turned away from him.
"Give Tom my regards"
With that she ran towards the forest. She needed to find a cave or a temporary place to hide until she figured out a way to get home.
She also needed to rest, she couldn't use the world communicator until her head got better, her focus just wasn't good enough. Then would she be able to call for help.
She ran as fast as she could until she found a cave behind a waterfall. After exploring the cave for any mobs, Jordan settled down. She went outside to get some wood to make a sword. After, she ran back inside and closed her eyes.
"Rest, finally"
After a few hours she should be able to figure out a plan to get back. For now she closed her eyes and relaxed for the first time in a long time.
Hm, maybe she was as good of a strategist as Tucker after all.
