Claire POV-
Jordan finally managed to fall asleep once her adrenaline died out.
Thankfully Ianite and the room appeared first try, he seemed as though he was impatiently waiting for her that whole time. When he saw she appeared he moved towards her and said, "I heard what you told my brothers. Thank you for believing in me"
Though she had no idea how that would even work she was glad that there wasn't much to explain in that case.
"Thank you for keeping the nightmares away, I was a prisoner of my own mind for so long. In a way, you freed me, I promise I will one day return the favor" she said without mumbling once.
He looked as if he couldn't believe what he was hearing, so she decided to follow the statement with a very formal bow.
Jordan loved his smile, he looked like one of those people that didn't smile much. She couldn't imagine why, but being trapped who knows where, being tortured by your own brother, that cant be fun. But at least he got to smile a little today. That in itself was a victory for her.
"It is my honor. Besides even gods have fears you know. I too have had restless nights but its not something I can afford to have. In a way, we are helping each other." Then out of thin air, a small box appeared on his hands. He smiled and handed it over to her.
"For me? What is it?" I asked
"Its a gift that was given to me centuries ago, I would like you to have it and keep it with you. hopefully it will bring you good fortune." Ianite then put the box in her hand and started moving towards the table. Jordan carefully removed the lilac colored ribbon and opened the small delicate box.
It was a bracelet.
The bracelet looked like it was forged out of pure gold, it had small designs that looked like they were made of sparkles around it. Jordan put it on immediately, it was a little big on her but its rigidity helped it stay on.

Jordan took a moment to admire it, she had never been gifted something like this. In a way it was comforting, knowing she had something to remind her of the person who had already done so much for her. But would she be able to keep it outside of the dream?
"Thank you, but I wont have it when I wake up will I?" It only made sense that it wouldn't.
"You will, I asked Mianite to give this to you as a favor. When you wake up you will find it on your wrist my dear champion. Its not much but its the only thing I could think of that was special enough for my champion to have"
That almost brought tears to her eyes, and she was the kind of person who didn't cry often.
"Thank you very much, I will treasure this forever." she finally said fighting to pull the tears back.
After a long nigh of just talking it was finally time for her to wake up. Ianite had given her the task of training for the time being. He wanted her to become as strong and powerful as the other champions so that they could all be in the same playing field, only then could she hope to bring about balance.
They both said their goodbyes and waved at each other as they both slowly disappeared.
When she woke up. The first thing on her agenda was to go to a meeting the priest had informed then about a while back.
After getting dressed she grabbed her sword and started walking out when she saw a bow that Tom had left her.
If she was being honest with herself, swords weren't really her thing, and she had taken some archery classes in college. Maybe that would be a more effective weapon for her to use after all. If she wanted to reach the skill level of the others Jordan was gonna have to make some smart choices.

Jordan grabbed the sword and put it in its slot in her jacket, then then grabbed the bow and put the arrow bag on her back and headed out.
The day was sunny as usual, not to hot or cold, for her that is the perfect weather. After taking a moment to breathe in the clean air she made her way down the hill where her home was and headed to the priest's house. It wasn't a very long walk but she'd always loved taking walks in the mornings, it gave her time to think and clear her head.
At least until someone jumped at her.
Thinking it was Tom she yelled, "Tom are you serious! Do you want to give me a heart attack! God dang it!" but when she turned around, she noticed it was Sonja.
"Boop! Its just me silly! You on your way to the priest meeting?" She didn't seem bothered by the fact that she had practically just screamed at her face, huh.
"Yeah. Do you know what its about? Im still new to the whole meetings with priests and stuff and things, ya know"
Sonja began laughing and after she gathered herself to a calm state she began to speak once more. "They are ok, but Tom is always screaming and interrupting, if he is in an extra crazy mood he might kill you so be careful"
Oh isn't that just lovely, maybe restoring balance will be harder than she though.
Sonja was talking about a new pet she was planning on getting when suddenly she stoped talking and grabbed her wrist."Woah! Where did you get this? This looks so fancy! Is that gold! OMG! Its absolutely beautiful!!" And the she shrieked at a pitch that she did not think possible, everyone on the island must have heard that. Yeah thats how loud it was.
As Jordan focused on recovering her sense of hearing she explained, " It was a gift from Ianite, he said it was special but I'm not sure how. It is pretty gnarbuckle right!?"
Wow did she just have a girly moment with someone? Dang this place was changing her quick.
"Jordan! This is precious! We should show it to everyone when we get to the meeting. Wait, did you say Ianite gave it to you. How? Have you seen him!?" she asked
Jordan explained everything about the dreams with Ianite the rest of the way, in the end Sonja seemed skeptical. All she said was that she still wasn't sure that Ianite was real! Even after the proof! Jordan knew everyone was gonna thing she was crazy for a while till she brought Ianite back.
Once they were all there the priest wasted no time with formalities and began, "Hey guys. I just want to announce that as of next week we will began something called The Purge...."
The...
Purge...
Images of the Mianite purges filled her head. The priest explained that the objective of the purge was to kill each other and steal each others stuff, to make it interesting, the person with the most kills would win the purge itself. He also mentioned that The Purge would be a weekly event, in which all crime was allowed.
At first she was scared at the thought of a purge, but the more she thought about it, the more Jordan liked the idea. It would be a great chance to enhance her skills! She would try to become the best purger of all!!
And there was her competitive side again...
After the meeting she ran back home and prepared everything to begin training. After all, she never knew how strong she could be until now that she had no other choice but to be strong.
She would stand tall. She would not fall

Howard’s Conan the Barbarian (and the awesome Schwarzenegger movie, STILL my favourite fantasy film EVER), The Lord of the Rings and The Hobbit and Ron Howard and George Lucas’ Willow, to the more grown-up and edgy worlds of grimdark masters George RR Martin and (my all-time favourite) Joe Abercrombie, as well as a BIG DOLLOP of Terry Pratchett’s immortal Discworld series. IMPORTANT: This story contains material which some readers may consider to be mature, such as battle violence, some strong language and occasional mild sexual scenes. If this is not your kind of thing, this story is not for you. I am also serializing this story on Tumblr, Wattpad, Quotev and Sweek.

The Puppy Project
"Give me my puppy!" I demanded, my eyes ablazed with fiery anger."Correction, it's not your puppy. It's our puppy," He smiled, but it was anything but sweet nor happy."You know what? Damn you! You're nothing but a cold, emotionless, and heartless bad boy!" I sneered, glaring at him fiercely. He chuckled at my words, taking a step closer to me. He slammed his hand unto the wall, trapping me, before leaning in close. "You got that right sweetheart but I think you got one thing wrong." He said, his eyes piercing straight into mine."And what is that?" I managed to asked, my throat seeming to get drier the more he looked at me."I'm neither one of those when I'm with you," and with those words, slammed his lips into mine.#1 in Strong-Female Character - 1/29/21#1 in Sarcasm - 2/4/21#2 in BadBoy - 2/13/21#3 in Teen Fiction - 2/13/21#1 in Mysterious - 3/4/21Copyrighted 2017.
