《The Spark of Balance: The Realm of Mianite (Book 1)》Ch 5 -The stranger in my dreams

Claire POV-
Sleep wasn't something that she got a lot of under normal circumstances. Claire didn't sleep much because she had a lot of nightmares that had led her to many sleepless nights in the past. But tonight, she had an interesting dream instead of the causal nightmares.
She was in a large room with purple curtains but with no windows. There was a table in the middle with two chairs on either side. On one side stood a man, he has very tall, around 6'2 and probably in his 20s, he had short purple hair that was pulled back as well as a very casual tuxedo with a purple tie. His face was friendly and had very masculine features like the top models in the magazines from her world.
Why was she dreaming of a good looking guy that could surprisingly pull off purple hair?
He didn't speak but instead gestured her to sit on the other chair. As she did, Claire looked around the room for a way out in case this turned into a nightmare but found none.
He then smiled at her and said
"Hmm, I've never been able to access anyone in my dreams? Who are you?"
Even though he spoke softly he had a very masculine voice. Who on earth was he? She never dreamt of him before or seen him anywhere, was that a good sign this wasn't a nightmare?
" Hello, my name is..." Should she use her real name or her "Mianite name"? He may be able to see it and assume she's lying.. then again this was a dream so why was she debating this in the first place?
" My name is Jordan Sparkles, may I ask who you are?" At first she thought he wouldn't answer since he showed no expressions.

He got up and stood beside her, Claire got up from her chair as he bowed cordially. "Its an honor to meet you. May I ask how you are able to enter my dream pocket?"
His what? He didn't even answer her question..
"Im afraid I don't know. I just went to sleep and next thing I know I'm in this room with a stranger. Are you real? Or just someone my dreams made up?" She then realized how stupid the question was after the words spilled out of her mouth.
" That is debatable. But I can assure you I am real, though others may deny it. I don't know how you were able to come here but regardless I don't mind the company. It sure beats being awake." Then he got a far off expression as if he was recalling something, by the looks of it it wasn't good.
" Well... since we are both asleep what do you want to do? Do you mind if I ask you a few questions? I don't get to share dreams with people very often, actually, never. But its better than having nightmares."
That earned her a worried look. " You have a lot of nightmares don't you... how about this, every night when you sleep I'll tap into your dreams and we can spend our time here. You wont have any nightmares that way".
"You would do that for me? A complete stranger?" Claire asked.
"Strangers are merely acquaintances we have not met yet, this way we can get to know each other. Who knows maybe we can be friends" he said.
She had to admit, having a friend right now might just be what she need. So she accepted his offer with a smile as they sat back down at the table.

They talked for what seemed like hours, she told him everything that had happened recently and he listened attentively throughout the whole thing. After the long story he spoke once again.
" So you are currently residing in Mianite, so am I, kind of. I know some of the people who are living there. I have a feeling you will love it. I can only imagine you miss your family right now, I miss mine too. But as of now just take everything as real, I understand you have your doubts that any of this is actually happening. Interestingly enough, I know much about the void and I felt the void open recently so that could explain that you are here." Deep down she knew he was being honest, although far fetched, this felt real.
"You could start a life here. I understand you worry about getting home, but in time you will return. As of right now, you cant worry about it every day if there is nothing you can do about it. This is your chance to see a different way of life. You said you love science, explore the mysteries of this land, learn how to fight since that is very important in this land. Lastly, I advice that you make friends, they always come a long way"
He got up and walked towards one of the curtains, he opened it and a door suddenly appeared. Before walking thought he turned back her direction.
"You must wake now. I will see you again in your dreams. Remember my advice Jordan.."
Then the room turned dark and next thing she knew, she was awake.

The Spirit Games
Bullied at school and neglected by his parents, Tom Fiddle finds himself at his wit's end, until he receives a strange email offering him a job as a cultivation clan's spirit automaton. But what *is* a spirit automaton? After a successful application, he gets an answer to his question: a spirit automaton is an arcane spirit attached to a pocket realm. They can shape this miniature world to their liking and conjure spiritual entities, usually monsters, out of thin air. Their role is to create and administer trial-by-fires. These life and death competitions determine whether a disciple is *chosen* or merely *trash* that deserves to be left by the wayside. Tom's new responsibility will affect the lives of millions of cultivators and shape the future of hundreds of worlds, dozens of galaxies, and eventually, the universe itself. Will Tom use his newfound power to torment others and merely benefit himself? Or will he rewrite the course of history and transform the path of cultivation from a path of blood and destruction, to one of peace and tranquility?
