I put my book down and made my way out of the library, I could feel my legs pick up pace and myself almost break out into an even faster pace, I'm pretty sure if my wolf was here with me, she would want to run outside as fast as she could to investigate whatever it was I just saw. I had only managed to get a few feet down the long hall before an arm reached out from nowhere and wrapped itself around me.

"Whoa there matey where are you off to in such a rush ?" Kieran asked once he pulled me to him and turned me to face him.

I looked up at him, he was gazing into my eyes with a questioning look.

"I was just going outside for some air, it feels really warm inside" I replied, it wasn't a lie but it also wasn't the whole truth.

"I don't think I've ever seen you almost run like that before in all the time you've been here" Kieran said still looking at me with a mysterious expression on his face

I was about to answer Kieran back but we were interrupted by Bradley. I was glad he showed up at the right time, maybe I could sneak off while they talked about whatever they had too.

"I'm sorry to interrupt you Alpha" Bradley said as he addressed Kieran

I took this as my chance to try and walk away but Kieran just tightened his arm around my waist, holding me close to him

"Whatever it is Bradley, I'm sure it can wait" Kieran said not tearing his gaze off me

"It really can't wait Alpha we need you urgently" Bradley said with a hint of seriousness in his tone

"Alright, what is it ? Has someone done something ?" Kieran asked sounding very agitated

"Some pack members who were out on patrol today found some intruders or rogues on our land" Bradley said

Kieran turned his attention back to me, giving me a quizzical look.

"How many of them and do we know who they are or what they want ?" Kieran asked

"There are three of them" Bradley said answering one of Kieran's questions

"Well done, you managed to answer on of my questions Bradley, what about the other two questions you have left unanswered" Kieran asked

"Perhaps it would be best if you came with me Alpha" Bradley said in a serious tone

"Fine let me just finish up here with Felicity and I will be right with you" Kieran said but Bradley just shook his head confusing both of us

"Felicity needs to come with us" Bradley said.

Kieran looked as confused as I was, Bradley wasn't giving much away, he was being rather short with his answers

"I'm not taking Felicity to see some random rogue intruders, they may try and harm her" Kieran tried to point out

"I don't think these intruders will harm the Luna" Bradley said, without another word Bradley turned and walked off.

"Come on, stay close to me, who knows how vicious these rogues are" Kieran said as he held my hand in his and guided me in the direction which Bradley was leading us too

"You just wanted some fresh air ?" Kieran whispered into my ear

"I didn't know about this, I was staying close by the house" I said trying my best to sound convincing

Bradley led us to another building a bit further away from the pack house, if I remember it correctly I'm sure Kieran told me it was called a containment centre sort of like a prison where they hold rogue wolves.

The building looked like a normal prison, it was a brick building on the outside, on the inside, the walls were plain white, the floor was white, on the ceiling was long fluorescent tube lights, the rooms were small, single bed in each room, toilet and sink inside the rooms, the rooms were separated with a brick wall and a heavy door with a high security lock on each. I had seen inside some of the rooms before. The showers were at another part of the building, the prisoner/s were taken to them by pack members. Kieran was strict with his rules but all his members knew it was only for their safety.

Bradley stopped by a door where a few other members had gathered outside. Alex, Jacob and Lucas all stood outside the door along with a few other pack members.

"Sorry to disturb you Alpha, but the main one, rogue, who is in this room has stated that he will only speak to the Luna, claims he knows her" Alex explained

Suddenly all eyes were on me, I shifted uncomfortably in my place.

"Knows me ?" I asked slightly confused

"Do you have his name or any of the others names ?" Kieran asked

"Nope, he said the Luna knows him and he will be able to explain everything to her" Alex replied

"We'll see, open the door" Kieran ordered

"Kieran wait, let me go inside first just to see" I said trying to calm Kieran down, I knew he was angry from his tone

"No way if he hurts you-" Kieran tried to refuse

"You will be right behind me" I said looking up into Kieran's eyes for reassurance

"Your not gonna back down are you ?" Kieran said pointing out the obvious, of course he already knew the answer to his question

"We both know, you already know the answer to that question" I smiled at him

"Fine but if he's aggressive or even looks at you the wrong way-" Kieran said getting into his Alpha mode

"I'll leave the room" I answered before he could even finish what he was saying

Kieran nodded to Lucas who used his key and opened the door for us, I walked in first with Kieran right behind me. Once inside the room, I looked over to the figure standing in the corner by the window. I was shocked and stunned as I didn't think I would be seeing him again anytime soon.

"Scotty" I said catching my cousin's attention

"Hey Flic" Scotty said with a smile and opened his arms out for a hug.

"What's going on ? How are you here ? Why are you here ?" I asked confused and walked over into his open, waiting arms

"Myself and two of my friend's have left Jamie's pack" Scott explained

"Why ? what's wrong with it ?" I asked getting worried

"It's not so much the pack we won't to get away from, it's.....him, Jamie" Scotty said but he didn't look at me, instead he averted his look to Kieran.

"What's he done now ?" Kieran asked, he was clearly annoyed at the sound and mention of Jamie's name

"He's getting.....dangerous" Scotty said in a serious tone

"Dangerous, how ?" I asked

"He's going through a rage rampage phase, we both know how bad he was the last time he went through one of those, remember ?" Scotty said, aiming his question at me

"You've seen him go through a phase before ?" Kieran asked

"It was a while back, I was younger, Scotty walked me home from school, it was a winter night, my parents and Scotty thought it would be better for me if he walked me home" I began to explain

I sat down on the small single bed as the memory began to flood back into my head.

"We were walking through the woods talking when we heard shouting and screaming in the distance, I thought it was someone in trouble so I convinced Scotty to check it out with me" I explained as the memory began to replay in my mind

"I did my best to convince her that maybe it was just teenagers or a group of friends having fun but she wasn't having any of it" Scotty explained

"We walked in the direction of the voices but kept out of sight, just in case it was rogues or members of another pack we didn't know, anyway there was a group of boys a little bit older than Jamie but they all surrounded him, they were making fun of him, picking on him, all of them were shouting something at him" I continued to explain

I glanced over at Scotty to make sure I was remembering the story correctly, he nodded confirming that I was.

"So what happened to Jamie ? Did you two help him or someone else come along ?" Kieran asked confused

"No, Jamie got mad, you could see it in his eyes, he clenched his hands into fists, he warned them all to stop or there would be trouble, none of them listened to him, they just laughed the next part I'm not sure what happened because it just happened so fast" I continued and looked at Kieran

"Why ? What happened ? Did the group do something ?" Kieran asked taking my hand in his

"Not the group, Jamie, he changed into his wolf form but during the process of when he was changing, he used his front claws on his paw to tear into some of the unsuspecting boys, he was talking but his tone had so much rage to it, he said this would teach them to laugh at him and not heed his warning to back off, a few of the boys from the group tried to run away but when Jamie transformed into his wolf form, he ran after them, all I remember after he went was hearing screams from the ones that tried to run away" I finished explaining

"Yeah you remembered that story well, I thought maybe you would have forgotten it" Scotty said

"To be honest with you, I had forgotten all about it up until just now" I said honestly

"So how did you two manage to get away ?" Kieran asked

"I told her to wait until it was safe then we made a run for it and I took her home, we never told anyone or mentioned it again ever until today" Scotty answered Kieran's question

"You think Jamie is gonna go that way again soon ?" Kieran asked

"I don't know but he's really pissed off with the whole thing with you two getting together" Scotty said

"You think he might plan an attack on us here ?" I asked getting worried

"He won't get very far" Kieran said sternly

"He's already lost a lot of his pack members" Scotty informed us

"My parents are still there, if he's angry at me then he might-" I began but couldn't finish the sentence

"Your parents are fine, they're safe they're with a few of my friend's parents they all left together, the only reason I was found today on your land was to see if it was still okay for Chris and Stephanie to come here to your pack" Scotty sad looking at Kieran

"Of course it is, I meant it when I said there would always be a place here for them and they were welcome to join anytime" Kieran said with a hint of a smile

Dinner time had come and gone, I couldn't face eating, not after all we had talked about then worrying about my parents, I know Scotty said he and his friends had gotten them out to safety but it didn't stop me from worrying that Jamie could still somehow find them and hurt them.

I was currently sat on the comfy sofa Kieran had in his room, looking out the window. I guess I was just hoping to see my parents walk in from the woods, Kieran had let Scotty and his friends go hours ago after they explained why they were here and they had gotten something to eat. I was already in my pyjamas, ready for bed.

"You know, sitting there worrying about your parents and hoping they will just appear won't help you" Kieran said as he entered the room, I honestly never heard him

"Sorry, can't help it, I'd hate it if Jamie hurt them or worse just to get at me or hurt me, if he really wants to hurt me, I'd rather he just hurt me than the people I love and care about most" I said

"He won't get the chance to hurt you, I won't allow it and neither will my wolf" Kieran said in a stern tone

"Am I putting your pack in danger ? Being here with you I mean" I asked Kieran suddenly worried for everyone's safety around me

"No, your not, and your staying here before you even think of saying we'd be better if you left" Kieran said almost in a warning tone

"I don't think I'd get very far from you, your wolf or your pack, you'd find me and bring me right back" I half joked bit I knew it was true, I'd be lucky to even get out the front door.

"Correct" Kieran said with a slight sense of humour in his tone

"You coming to bed ?" Kieran asked, now standing behind me, gently massaging my neck and shoulders

"Yeah" I smiled and got up, once I was standing up Kieran pulled me in close to him, kissing me on my forehead then wrapping his arms around me

"I feel so safe here in your arms" I smiled, my eyes closed.

"Let's get into bed and I'll hold you in my arms all night" Kieran suggested

"Now there's an offer I really can't refuse" I smiled

With no other words spoken or said, Kieran sweeped me up into his strong arms and carried me bridal style over to our bed. We both got comfy, Kieran laying on his back, I lay on his chest, he wrapped his arms around me again, holding me close to him.

"I'll never let anything bad ever happen to you, I'll always keep you safe, I'd give my last breath for you, I promise" Kieran said before we both slowly fell into a peaceful sleep.

Hey everybody ! I am so sorry it has been forever since I last updated this story but I had a lot going on, I lost my uncle back at the start of the pandemic, then not long after I sadly lost my nana so as you can may imagine, my mind wasn't in the best place for writing much :'(

But the good news is, I've now updated from that last cliff hanger I left you all on ! I've also had a few people contact me as they want to use my story on their apps, I guess it's something just like wattpad maybe. Also, this story done so well during lockdown ! Thank you to everyone for
